Abstract

BUMDes is one of the Indonesian government’s programs to advance the welfare of rural communities through the management of local economic potential and the provision of services at the village level. However, there are still obstacles, namely, the financial management of BUMDes, which is not yet optimal due to the lack of understanding of managers regarding the preparation of systematic financial reports. The purpose of this service, as well as training and mentoring, is to increase the knowledge and ability of BUMDes management regarding the importance of correct, transparent, and accountable financial reports according to SAK-ETAP or SAK EMKM. This community service aims to encourage an increase in BUMDes business potential and profit through improving its financial management system. This activity consists of several stages, which include preparation or planning stage, survey and problem identification, problem solving, implementation, and evaluation of activities. The approach taken to resolve issues with partners and provide solutions was to conduct training and mentoring, introducing techniques for preparing financial reports using Microsoft Excel and providing comprehensive guidance to the public on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This activity comprises training and guidance, introducing financial reporting techniques using Microsoft Excel, and providing comprehensive understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to the community. The results of this community service activity demonstrate that the participants were able to comprehend and utilize Microsoft Excel to prepare financial reports for the BUMDes. This was evidenced by the responses given during the discussion session and the ability to apply Excel formulas to process financial data during the training and mentoring sessions.

Abstract

The village of Wukirsari faces the problem of plastic waste, which is increasingly generated by community activities such as households, tourism, agriculture, and fishing. The Organization of ‘Sadar Lingkungan Balangan’ Group is one of the waste management groups in Wukirsari that has limitations in waste processing tools. Therefore, an effort was made to manage waste based on appropriate technology by using a plastic shredder. The goal of this program is to provide a plastic shredding machine to help reduce waste piles and increase the selling value of waste. The program has been running with stages of socialization and FGD, implementation of TTG, training and monitoring and evaluation. With a capacity of 90 - 100 kg/hour, the use of this machine can avoid the accumulation of waste. Waste can be recycled, waste accumulation is reduced and waste has more value. In addition, the group has received training and the support of Wukirsari Village will ensure that the sustainability of the program will continue.

Abstract

This Community Service activity was conducted to address the need for enhancing entrepreneurial skills among vocational school students, particularly at SMK Karya Nasional in Kuningan Regency, West Java. Vocational school graduates often face challenges in entering the workforce or starting their own businesses due to limited practical knowledge and skills in business management and entrepreneurship. The primary aim of this activity was to empower students by providing comprehensive training in business management, including topics such as basic business concepts, product development, marketing strategies, and entrepreneurial skills. The method used involved interactive workshops, hands-on practice, and collaboration with local industries to ensure practical application of the knowledge gained. As a result, the students demonstrated improved understanding of business concepts and management techniques, as well as greater confidence in applying these skills. This training also fostered stronger school-industry relations, creating opportunities for collaboration and internships that align education with the demands of the job market. In conclusion, this program successfully equipped students with the foundational skills required to pursue careers in business or entrepreneurship. It is hoped that this initiative can serve as a model for similar programs in other vocational schools, ultimately contributing to the growth of local economies through the development of student-led small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Abstract

Health promotion for children in society still focuses on the physical, while psychosocial stimulation for children is still not optimal. This is because there are still many parents who are not aware of the importance of children's mental health, or they are people who realize it but it turns out to be too late. This condition results in children experiencing limitations in obtaining their rights at their age as a result, mental development can also be delayed or disrupted. Therefore, appropriate stimulation is needed provided by parents as caregivers to children. The aim of this community service is to improve the development of toddler children and the abilities of parents through therapeutic group therapy for toddler children in the Bandarharjo sub-district. This therapy consists of family psychology, namely education that stimulates the mental development of toddlers in parents and therapeutic group therapy, namely therapy that involves families with the same needs. This therapy consists of 6 phases, namely autonomy stimulation, motor, cognitive, emotional, psychosocial and finally the experience sharing phase.  The results achieved after being given child therapy show an increase in development and good changes in parents' ability to stimulate their toddlers in terms of cognitive and skills.

Abstract

Sambirejo Village is one of the stunting locus areas. Based on 2022 data, there are 23 children under two years old who are stunted out of a total of 192 people, and 50 children under five years old who are stunted out of a total of 494 toddlers. One of the causes of stunting is based on maternal anemia and CED (Chronic Energy Deficiency). In 2022, data was obtained from 83 pregnant women, there were 43 people experiencing anemia and 15 people with KEK. The incidence of anemia in adolescent girls was 45 and KEK was 58 out of a total of 361 adolescent girls. If this condition is not prevented, the incidence of anemia, CED and stunting will continue to increase from year to year. Alternative food to increase iron and prevent CED to prevent stunting is to use food ingredients taken from local wisdom in the form of processed food using three basic triad ingredients (moringa leaves, catfish and tiwul/cassava) in the form of: cilok catfish, moringa ice cream and chips / cassava-catfish sticks which have nutritional and economic value. Through this training, 100 target participants were given health material and demonstrations on making highly nutritious food preparations. The results of this activity prove that there is an increase in knowledge about anemia, CED, stunting and skills in making processed food that has nutritional value and marketability.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are Islamic-based educational institutions that play a substantial role in educating students holistically. However, economic and technological challenges often become obstacles in empowering students to become Sharia-based technology entrepreneurs. In producing quality student graduates, a curriculum is needed that is not only spiritually based education but must also be relevant to today's world of work. Through the application of Sharia technopreneur, an entrepreneurship curriculum utilizing Sharia-based technology can be carried out to produce quality student qualifications. This activity aims to provide education, socialization, and support for Sharia entrepreneurship knowledge, identification of halal products/halal certification, and how to market products using digital technology (digital marketing), as well as digital payments according to Sharia principles. The event was held at Al-Misbah Islamic Boarding School, Ciseeng, Bogor, West Java. The implementation method is explanation, practical training, and mentoring, giving questionnaires before and after (pre-test and post-test) PKM activities. The results of this activity show an increase in students' knowledge of each sub-material provided based on the pre-test and post-test. This program has significant implications for economic and technological empowerment in the dormitory environment. Apart from improving students' technological skills and knowledge, this activity also opens up opportunities for Sharia-based economic development in the surrounding community. It needs to be implemented sustainably by collaborating between academics, Islamic boarding schools, and the industrial world to increase the financial independence of the people.

Abstract

Google Drive is a free storage service provided by Google, where users can store files and access them anytime as long as their devices are connected to the internet. Google Drive can store various types of files such as documents, photos, audio, videos, and more. It offers 15GB of free storage capacity. With all its advantages, not all health workers are able to utilize Google Drive optimally. Conducting training on the use of Google Drive as an online storage tool for healthcare workers in health facilities is an essential step to ensure that all staff understand and can effectively use this technology. Besides boosting the productivity of healthcare workers, using Google Drive also allows them to provide better healthcare services to patients. This training will be conducted at the Kuranji Health Center in Padang over 2 days, consisting of both theoretical and practical sessions. The training was carried out successfully, and participants were able to learn about Google Drive and how to use it. The training participants included all health center staff who were not on active duty, such as medical record officers, pharmacy staff, midwives, doctors, and the head of the health center. Out of the 15 pretest questions related to Google Drive, the participants' average score was 69.55. After participating in the activity, their average score increased to 86.56. This indicates that the training conducted was effective in broadening the participants' understanding of Google Drive and the significant benefits offered by this Google service. In the future, it is hoped that similar training can be conducted with a longer duration.
