Abstract

Raudhatus Salaam Islamic Boarding School Berbah Sleman Regency's operating costs are still heavily reliant on student fees and donations from donors, but it has three vacant waqf land locations that have yet to be developed to support pesantren's economic independence. The goal of this Community Partnership Program is to initiate efforts to increase the economic independence of pesantren through agribusiness-based activities by optimizing the existing resources. The data collection method used in this activity is observation and focus group discussion, while the method of service implementation is through counseling, land clearing, planting, and post-planting maintenance. The study's data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. This program has been successful in increasing the empowerment of partners in terms of knowledge and skills, with the goal of increasing the economic independence of the partners' pesantren by converting one of the existing lands into a banana plantation.

Abstract

Clean and healthy living behavior in the household is one of the efforts so that the community is in a clean and healthy environment so that it can reduce the incidence of infectious and non-communicable diseases. This is in accordance with one of the themes of the sustainable development goals, namely a healthy and prosperous life. One of the diseases that often arise in the community is diarrhea. Data from the Cimanggung Community Health Center showed that 9.59% of people with vomiting and defecation occurred in Sindanggalih Village. The implementation of community service was carried out in August 2022 by lecturers and students of Bhakti Kencana University. The target of the activity is RW 1-10 cadres, totalling 37 people. Providing health promotion about vomiting and defecation, drug self-medication and Oral rehydration solution demonstration. The community was given a pre-test and post-test in the form of a knowledge, attitude and action questionnaire to measure the achievement of activities. The results show that the average pre-test knowledge is 8.13 and the post-test average is 8.83; the average attitude of the pre-test was 16.32 and the post-test was 16.70 and the mean of the pre-test was 16.35 and the post-test was 16.97. This shows that there is an increase in knowledge of 0.7, attitude of 0.38 and action of 0.62.

Abstract

The quality of village services provided to the community can be raised with the implementation of an effective information system. Klangon Village, Saradan District, Madiun Regency, is the program's partner. Due to a lack of information system management skills, the Village Information System has not been implemented in an ideal manner.An alternative solution offered is to provide training and assistance to local government staff in Klangon village to develop and manage Information Systems. The process starts with a partner survey to identify the underlying causes of the issue at hand, followed by training, mentorship, and program evaluation. The outcomes of this civic engagement project include the creation of a website serving as the village's information system and an improvement in the village of Klangon's capacity to maintain it.

Abstract

The government's efforts to address learning loss concerns as a result of the COVID-19 pandemi on school-age children are with the gradual start of face-to-face learning. UKS is the implementation of Health Promoting School (HPS) in Indonesia which aims to mobilize and improve health campaigns and education, including efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Most of the UKS in West Java province is in a state of disrepair. In fact, UKS is the spearhead of community empowerment in the implementation of PHBS and is also the main key to preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the school environment. The purpose of this community service is to optimize the role of HPS during the COVID-19 pandemi. Community service program method developed by the team based on the modified "Common component of health education planning models"-WHO. The primary target of this activity is 24 elementary school students in grades 4, 5 and 6, as prospective HPS drivers. The result of this community service is that there is an increase in students' knowledge about the importance of UKS in schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this program is Community Service (PKM) which is a socialization program on how to create an entrepreneurial spirit to help housewives, young women, and the community increase their understanding of how to make, produce, and market patchwork waste decorations. in order to improve the family economy, is to carry out one of the functions of the Tridharma of Higher Education. Workshops and technical instructions in the manufacture of patchwork decorations are the methods used. 80% of the partners who attended were able to make decorative products from patchwork waste, according to the results of the pre and post tests that had been carried out. So with this training, it is hoped that housewives and young women in RW 03 Johar Baru Village will gain more knowledge about making simple businesses and being able to choose and sort patchwork materials and prepare tools.

Abstract

Elderly is a group susceptible to non-communicable diseases due to a decrease in the function of the body's organs and a decrease in the body's immune system. Education related to balanced nutrition and health & nutritional status checks of the elderly are carried out to reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases such as obesity and hypertension in the elderly. The targets involved are elderly people from the Pamulang WoodBall Club (PWbC) Community, South Tangerang City. Education related to balanced nutrition for elderly is provided by lecture and discussion methods using leaflet. Meanwhile, a health & nutritional status checks was carried out by measuring weight, height and blood pressure. The percentage increase in target knowledge related to balanced nutrition is 41.4%, so it can be concluded that there was an increase in knowledge of balanced nutrition in the elderly. Most of the elderly were overweight (30.4%) and obese (30.4%) and had pre-hypertension (43.5%) and hypertension (26.1%).

Abstract

Kelulut bee (Trigona sp.) products knowly as honey, pollen and propolis. Kelulut beekeepers in Samarinda are still oriented towards income from the sale of honey. The purpose of this activity is to improve the understanding and skills of kelulut beekeepers in making derivative products from honey as an alternative to selling value products. This community service is carried out by means of education and training in making products made from honey, propolis and pollen. The results of the evaluation of community service activities are measured by their level of understanding after being given training to have a good increase in the level of knowledge. The activity received a very good appreciation and participants hoped that the activity would be carried out regularly.

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is felt by the people of Pontianak, in the economic, sociocultural, and health fields. One of the prime commodities in Pontianak is corn farming. The aim of the PKM Program is to innovate corn-based processed products. This PKM activity began with outreach to the heads and employees of the Puskesmas, as well as identifying health cadres as potential participants in training related to using corn silk as herbal tea drinks. Training on using corn silk as herbal tea drinks for cadres was carried out offline and interactively using leaflets, videos, and hands-on practice. Evaluation and monitoring activities are carried out using a Google form (pre-test and post-test). The results of the PKM activity showed success in understanding the cadres with good knowledge when the pre-test was carried out by only ten people (30.30%). After being given knowledge training, respondents in the good category amounted to 30 people (90.90%). PKM activities targeting UPT Puskesmas Perum II cadres increased the ability of cadres to utilize corn silk waste in herbal tea. The next activity is expected to be able to assist so that the resulting product obtains a permit.

Abstract

A buffer zone is an area designated to protect a conservation area from being disturbed by the surrounding environment. The concept of a buffer zone can be adopted to protect an area or land from contamination by factories, household, and agricultural waste. Teluk Sinar Village is a village located in a freshwater swamp area where there are mines around this area. Further, agricultural practices in the area still use chemicals that leave residues and can pollute the environment, including water pollution. The problem partner is the low level of knowledge about the impact of water pollution on organisms, including human health. Through this community service, it will be a solution to understanding the effects of water pollution for members of the Bunga Seroja Farmer Group through the concept of buffer zone technology. The community service was conducted by the lecture method and gave a pocket book. It significantly increases the knowledge and understanding of farmers about the buffer zone concept.

Abstract

The bibliography/reference is the last part in the preparation of a scientific paper. The function of the bibliography is to provide further information to the readers that the author's work is the result of various sources. Writing a bibliography on the completion of student thesis in the MIPA Education environment of FKIP University of Palangkaraya still makes many mistakes, including several authors' names that are not listed in the bibliography because the preparation has not been automatic / still uses the manual method. This activity will be routinely carried out every semester and several supporting activities, namely making learning media and avoiding plagiarism. The purpose of this activity is for students to get used to it and one day it will be realized that all the results of the student's thesis are required to be submitted to a journal. To achieve this goal, supporting programs are needed every semester. The selected students are all batches of 2019 to 2021 who will prepare thesis and proposal reports. The output of this activity is that 85 students have been skilled in compiling a bibliography and applying it in a thesis, as the first step in helping students to submit their thesis results to an accredited journal.
