Hasta Wiyata adalah nama jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh program studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Brawijaya. Kedua istilah tersebut berasal dari bahasa Sanskerta, “hasta” berarti tangan dan “wiyata” berarti pengajaran. Jurnal ini bergerak dalam bidang bahasa, sastra, dan pendidikan. Jurnal Hasta Wiyata memuat hasil penelitian yang inovatif, tulisan ilmiah yang orisinil, refleksi kritis-teoretis, studi literatur, gagasan tertulis, dan artikel konseptual dari berbagai cabang ilmu yang fokus pada kajian bahasa, sastra, dan pendidikan. Jurnal ini terbit dua kali dalam satu tahun, yaitu pada bulan Januari dan Juli.

Abstract

In everyday life, humans cannot be separated from communication activities with others. Humans are social creatures who need to interact with other people. In the communication process the role of language is very necessary. In order for the communication process to run smoothly, a person must understand the relationship between the context and the language spoken. This will be discussed in one branch of linguistics, namely pragmatics. Usually language is packaged and used by prioritizing its efficient function, therefore in pragmatics there is a discussion about deixis. This research will discuss the form of deixis used in Madurese. The research subject is the conversation environment of students at the Trunojoyo Madura University dormitory. The conversation studied was a non-formal conversation style with a relaxed variety. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with conversation data collection techniques using recording equipment and note-taking techniques. From the data obtained, there are five types of deixis that appear in the context of conversations between dormitory students.

Abstract

Language is the main tool used by humans to communicate and interact in everyday life. Language develops and changes over time according to the needs and dynamics of society. With language humans can convey ideas, feelings, and information with others in everyday life. Language errors can occur in spoken form. Dubbing or substituting voices in different languages on the Youtube video of the animated cartoon "Hello Jadoo" into Indonesian there are 12 language errors in the field of phonology. The research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. With the data collection techniques used, namely listening and recording techniques. The most phonological errors in the Youtube video of the animated cartoon "Hello Jadoo" dubbed Indonesian are 11 phoneme reductions. A language error must be corrected especially since the cartoon is widely watched by children. In the hope of dubbing, the use of Indonesian to conform to language norms and conventions. This includes word selection, sentence structure, and vocabulary that young audiences can understand

Abstract

This research focuses on the study of literary sociology. Using the novel Saga dari Samudra by Ratih Kumala, will be studied influence of social background in the story based on problems of human life. Specifically, problems will be limited to human relationships with themselves and from outside. After analysis, it was found that parenting patterns and upbringing from the family and environment influence human traits and attitudes in acting. In general, individual behavior can be seen from human relationship with themselves, human relationships with others–including human, animal and plant, also human relationship with God. Individuals who have good relationships with others can adapt easily to every location they live. Apart from that, have a mature mindset and an open mind. He can also accept and respect opinions that differ from his own.

Abstract

Literary criticism is the science of literature that studies, examines, considers, and assesses the strengths, weaknesses, and merits of a literary work. Literary works are created as the author's statement to others. The values in literary works are realized in the minds of readers through experiences and ways of thinking, including idealism. In this study, researchers are interested in analyzing deixis in the novel "Si Pucuk Kalumpang" by using data collection techniques in the form of observation and documentation. Feminist Literature In the story "Si Pucuk Kalumpang" tells how a mother tries to defend her child, and how women who are often considered weak, become very strong and tough characters like men. There are three streams of feminism found in the story Pemeksi Air Mata by Agus Noor, namely social feminism, marxist feminism, and social liberal streams

Abstract

This research aims to describe, analyze and explain the appropriateness of the content and appropriateness of the language in class X Indonesian language textbooks at SMK Semesta Bumiayu. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with an evaluation approach model. The research data is in the form of Indonesian language textbooks for class X SMK Semesta Bumiayu. Furthermore, data collection techniques in this research include observation, interviews and document analysis. The data analysis technique was carried out in steps, namely interviews with teachers and students regarding the appropriateness of the content and language in the class X Indonesian language textbook, reading the data source in the form of the class X Indonesian language textbook, describing the material contained in the class book quality assessment using content and language suitability tests based on BNSP, and drawing conclusions. The data validity technique is carried out by triangulating data sources and theory. The research results show that the appropriateness of the content includes, (1) suitability of the material description with the core competencies and basic competencies contained in the curriculum of the subject concerned, (2) accuracy of the material, and (3) teaching supporting material. Meanwhile, appropriateness of language includes (1) suitability of language use to the student’s level of development, (2) use of communicative language, (3) use of language that meets the requirements for coherence and integration of thought flow.

Abstract

This research is undermined by the observance of directive illusions in the presidency debate of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024. The aim of the study was to describe the observance of directive illusions in the presidency debate of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024 and to explain how speakers use language to the purpose of action and how the speaker partners conclude the meaning intended to shape what is said. This research method uses descriptive qualitative methods to describe data compliance with directive illusions in the presidential debate of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024. The theory used in this study is the pragmatic theory, where pragmatics is the linguistics that study the meaning of the speaker. The results of the research show that the fulfillment of the illusion of the directive that emerges is questions and demands. It shows variations in the use of obedience to directive illusions, including orders, requests, suggestions, and prohibitions, used by the vice president to influence the views and actions of voters. In addition, the rhetorical strategy used in the debate also affects the effectiveness of following the illusion of directives in achieving the desired communicative objectives. Implications of this research are a better understanding of the use of language in political contexts and the importance of pragmatic analysis in understanding verbal interaction in the political arena.

Abstract

In daily life, the emergence of conflicts is common because each individual has different interests, goals, or opinions. When these interests, goals, or opinions do not align with each other, conflicts arise. Similarly, in family life, conflicts often occur among family members engaged in debates, quarrels, disputes, or arguments about various matters. This study aims to describe the forms of family conflicts found in the novel 00.00 by Ameylia Falensia. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study consist of quotations from the content of the novel 00.00 by Ameylia Falensia that depict family conflicts through character interactions. Data collection techniques used in this study include library research, observation, and note-taking. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques and employing a literary sociology approach. The data are presented in narrative form as each data is described based on the research findings. From the results of the study, various forms of family conflicts were found in the novel 00.00 by Ameylia Falensia. These forms of family conflict include: conflicts with parents consisting of conflicts between children and fathers and conflicts between children and mothers; conflicts with one's own children consisting of conflicts between fathers and children and mothers and children; conflicts with relatives consisting of conflicts between sisters and brothers, conflicts among sisters, and conflicts among brothers; conflicts between husbands and wives.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of YouTube videos as a teaching tool to enhance the speaking abilities of beginner-level students in English. Drawing upon the principles of multimodal learning and digital technology in language education, the research investigates the impact of utilizing YouTube videos on language learning outcomes. Adopting a qualitative descriptive design, the study examines English language learning activities conducted with the aid of YouTube videos at TPQ Raudlotus Shibyan, involving five students aged 13-14. Data collection methods include pre-activity preparations, engagement in main activities with listening and speaking exercises facilitated through YouTube videos, and post-activity feedback and assessment. Findings reveal that YouTube videos effectively stimulate student engagement, motivation, and comprehension of English speaking skills, fostering a dynamic and interactive learning environment. This research underscores the potential of digital technology, particularly YouTube, as a valuable resource for language educators seeking to create engaging and effective language learning experiences, especially for beginner-level students.

Abstract

Menulis deskripsi merupakan keterampilan menulis yang sangat penting diajarkan sejak tingkat sekolah dasar. Untuk memudahkan peserta didik berlatih menulis teks deskripsi diperlukan media pembelajaran yang menarik. Augmented Reality (AR) merupakan teknologi media pembelajaran yang mudah diserap oleh peserta didik karena dapat menampilkan gambar tiga dimensi (3D), interaktif, mudah digerakkan, memberikan keterangan, dan suara yang diminta oleh pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan proses dan hasil peningkatan kompetensi menulis deskripsi peserta didik dengan media pembelajaran AR. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan tindakan kelas adaptasi dari Kemmis Taggart. Setiap siklus pembelajaran terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi.  Sumber data penelitian, peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 5 Purwantoro Malang. Data penelitian berupa hasil penilaian teks deskripsi yang ditulis oleh peserta didik, penilaian melalui rubrik pengamatan, dan wawancara, serta hasil refleksi  Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus yang melibatkan guru pamong dan mahasiswa program profesi guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan media pembelajaran AR dapat meningkatkan kompetensi menulis deskripsi peserta didik secara signifikan dari 50% tuntas menjadi 100% tuntas. Sehubungan dengan itu, Penggunaan media pembelajaran AR Asemblr EDU. direkomendasikan dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan literasi menulis genre lain seperti deskripsi dan prosa fiksi.

Abstract

Makalah ini akan berfokus pada perkembangan pendidikan utamanya penerapan MOOCs dengan menggunakan metode konstruktivisme di institusi pendidikan dimana di negara Eropa sudah berkembang bertahun – tahun, dan diharapkan di Indonesia menjadi tren untuk bisa diterapkan di sekolah-sekolah dan lembaga lain terkait. Juga penelitian ini sekaligus bertujuan menginternalisasi cerita anak asli Madura  juga dongeng Ceko sama – sama dikenal luas secara global. MOOCs berbasis metode konstruktivisme berbahan materi cerita Madura (virtual class) pada kelas Sastra Anak. Kegiatan MBKM yang terintegrasi lainnya adalah penelitian ini akan menjadi ide dasar bagi mahasiswa yang terlibat untuk menulis karya ilmiah (skripsi dan artikel) dengan topik Sastra Anak berbasis kearifan dan tradisi Lokal Madura dan juga Ceko. Makalah ini juga mengeksplorasi secara mendalam pengalaman – pengalaman sebelumnya terkait cerita anak Madura dengan mengkomparasikan pengalaman cerita anak Ceko dalam bingkai metode konstruktivisme untuk memperoleh pengetahuan baru yang terkait dengan topik pembelajaran.
