Abstract

This study suggests students' understanding of the program from the Ministry of Education, namely Merdeka Learning Kurikulum Merdeka (MBKM). Understanding is examined about the implementation and programs that exist in MBKM. The research aimed to determine the understanding of the Physical Education Health and Recreation (Penjaskesrek) students of the Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP) of Abulyatama University regarding the implementation and programs in the MBKM. The method used is descriptive qualitative, in which an online questionnaire is distributed to students taking lectures at the Physical Education Study Program, FKIP, Abulyatama University. The study results were that most of the respondents (50.9%) already knew about MBKM but did not fully understand the programs in MBKM, as much as 53%. Many respondents know about MBKM from friends and lecturers, as much as 49.1%. Respondent's interest in MBKM was 66%, and most chose to participate in apprenticeship/work practice programs, namely 47.2%. If they pass the selection, the percentage of respondents who also want to participate in MBKM activities is 78.8%. Respondents who had participated in MBKM activities were 17%, and the activities were teaching assistants and student exchanges. The support from the Study Program was also very good for students who passed MBKM. Respondents also admitted that the results of participating in MBKM could improve their soft skills. The research concludes that respondents already know about MBKM, but there are still some respondents who do not understand the MBKM program. Some respondents had passed MBKM. Support from Study Program for respondents who passed the MBKM program was very good.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low results of students' comprehension skills on my diversity material in class IV SDN 019 Lubuk Agung. This research method was classroom action research (PTK) which was carried out in two cycles.The subject of this research was class IV students, totaling 20 students. Data collection techniques were in the form of documentation, observation and tests. While technical data analysis uses quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the results of students' reading comprehension skills increased after the action, the average completeness of the collaboration results In the pre-action activities, the class average value was 74.75 with classical completeness of 45%, increased in cycle 1 meeting 1 to 75.5 with classical completeness  of  50%,  increased in  cycle 1  meeting  2  to  78  with  a classical mastery of 5 5%. The class average score in cycle 2 meeting 1 was 82.25 with classical completeness of 70% and increased in cycle 2 meeting 2 which was 88.5 with classical completeness of 85%. So it can be concluded that the application of the Predict, Organize, Rehearse, Practice And Evaluate (PORPE) strategy can improve the reading comprehension skills of grade IV students at SDN 019 Lubuk Agung.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) find out the speaking skills of fifth grade students at SDN Karang Tengah 06, 2) find out the factors that influence speaking skills in learning Indonesian for fifth grade students at SDN Karang Tengah 06. This research uses qualitative methods so that the data presented is in the form of analysis, the subjects used in this study amounted to 34 students. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The results of the study can be concluded 1) in aspects of speaking skills possessed by VB class students at SDN Karang Tengah 06 they are still lacking in the intonation, courage, and demeanor sections, for aspects of pronunciation, vocabulary and memorization are in the good category but still need to be improved again so that later students can master all aspects of speaking skills well and even very well. 2) the factors that affect students' speaking skills consist of linguistic factors, such as students' lack of knowledge about how to pronounce, intonation, vocabulary or sentences properly and correctly, while non-linguistics such as students' lack of courage when speaking or reciting rhymes in front of the class, lack of students' knowledge about how to have a good attitude when speaking or reciting rhymes in front of the class, and still lack of fluency or mastery of topics owned by VB class students at SDN Karang Tengah 06

Abstract

Translation is a product of the process called translating. In translating, a translator has to make sure the translation has the equivalent meaning to the source texts. There many theories on how to have a good translation; one of the theories is dynamic equivalence theory.  In this paper, the writers would like to discuss deeper about the use of dynamic equivalence theory in translating process where English as a source language and Bahasa Indonesia as the target language. The implementation of dynamic equivalence theory is discussed together with the examples and explanation about why dynamic equivalence is used and why some words are chosen in translation and not the other words.  It shows that when word-to-word translation cannot make sense the meaning of the target language dynamic equivalence theory offers flexibility for the translator to translate and to make sense the meaning of the translation.

Abstract

The farmer family in the village O'baki, TTS Regency, is a family that carries out its role in educating children through several patterns, namely, habituation patterns, advice, guiding, participation, maintenance, example, and discipline. The purpose of this research is to find out the pattern of Christian religious education in farming families. The theory in this study is the pattern of Christian religious education and the farmer's family. The method used is a type of descriptive qualitative research. Primary data sources totaled 12 people, consisting of the village head, the PKK head, and 10 parents in O'Baki village. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the pattern of Christian religious education for farming families in the village of O,Baki greatly influences the lives of children in the future. Children need to receive full assistance toward maturity mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the sociocultural values in the novel Laksamana Malahayati Sang Perempuan Keumala by Endang Moerdopo. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The data source of this research is the novel Laksamana Malahayati Sang Perempuan Keumala by Endang Moerdopo 2018. The data collection method in this research is reading, recording, and categorizing the novel Laksamana Malahayati Sang Perempuan Keumala by Endang Moerdopo. Data analysis techniques in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The sociocultural values contained in this novel, namely the way of thinking, attitudes and beliefs, the way characters believe in something, social values and norms, the way of living traditions/habits that can be seen from the attitude of the character Keumala Hayati in fighting for what she wants

Abstract

This research aims to find out to what extent the influence of the leadership of the head of the school and the performance of teachers on the quality of education in the first private secondary school of the district of Kupang. The method used in this survey is a survey method with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques are used through questionnaires / survey, observations and documentation / documentary to understand the influence of the head of school leadership and teacher performance on the quality of education. The results of the research obtained by the researchers from the results of a summary model test are: 1) The value of the influence of the variable Leadership of the head of school (X1) on the quality variable of education (Y) received the value of R square or R2 = 0,770 = 77,0%. The values show that the leadership variable of the head of school (X1) has an impact on the quality of education (Y) of 77,0%, which means that the leader of the school has a very significant contribution to the improvement of education quality. 2) The value of the influence variable Teacher Performance (X2) on the variable quality of education (Y) is obtained Value R square or R2 = 0.715 = 71.5%. The value shows that the teacher performance variable (X2) has an influence on the quality of education (Y) of 71.5%, meaning that the performance of teachers has a very significant contribution to the improvement of the education quality. The impact of the variables Leadership of the head of school (X1) and Teacher Performance (X2) on the variable quality of education (Y) obtained the value of R square or R2 = 0,830 = 83,0%. The value showed that the variation of the variable of the head of school leadership (X1) and the teacher performance variable (X2) on the quality of education (Y) had an impact of 83,0%, meaning that simultaneously the leadership of the school head and the performance of teachers have a very significant contribution to the improvement of the quality in education. Thus it can be concluded that the leadership of the head of school and the performance of teachers have a significant influence on the quality of education

Abstract

In a learning process that runs well, it certainly involves the activeness of students. Activeness is an activity that involves both body and mind. The activeness of students in learning to emphasize understanding of the problems they will face in the learning process. Based on the results of interviews with economics teachers, it is known that there are problems during the learning process. Teachers do learning dominated by learning that is still teacher-centered, where the role of the teacher in the learning process is more than the role of students. Using the usual learning methods applied by the teacher, it appears that students are not actively involved in the learning process. Judging from these problems, innovations in learning models need to be made, one of which is a learning model that can make students active in the learning process. A suitable model to be practiced in increasing learning activeness is the project-based learning model. The research conducted is a class action research with the research subject is class XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 3 Bojonegoro. The instrument used was an observation sheet. This study uses two cycles, the first cycle using a project-based learning model (PjBL) gets an average result of 54% classified in the good category, but has not reached the level of research success indicators that have been determined. In the second cycle, by applying the project-based learning model (PjBL), the results with an average of 86% were classified as very good and had reached the specified success indicators. Based on the results obtained, this indicates that this class action research (PTK) has been successful. the use of project-based learning models (PjBL) can increase the activeness of students in undergoing economic learning in class XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 3 Bojonegoro on the material of international economic cooperation.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the students’ obstacles in understanding reading descriptive text since there were many problems that the students encounter in understanding reading text. The method used in this study was a descriptive quantitative through test and questionnaire as data collection instruments.  The questionnaire consisted of items to gain the students’ responses towards 3 categories of students’ difficulties factors in reading, namely: learners’ background, teaching technique, and learners’ environment. Seventeen first-grade students in a senior high school in Aceh Besar were involved as participants. The result of students’ reading comprehension test showed that 86,6 % of students were not able to identify references in the text, and 70,6 % of students found difficulty in making inferences in the text. The result of the questionnaire further showed that 71,9% of students agreed toward a lack of interest in reading descriptive text, and 73,5% of students agreed that students’ background knowledge affects their reading comprehension, especially in reading descriptive text. It can be concluded that most of the students found difficulty in identifying and making references in the text, whereas the questionnaire result showed that most of the students lack of background knowledge and interest in reading descriptive text

Abstract

This development research aims to develop and test the feasibility of a product in the form of audio-visual media in Civics learning with a problem-based learning approach in class VI of elementary schools. Audio visual media that is created combines audio, text, images and animation into an animated video that can make it easier for students to understand the material. This research was conducted at SDN Kelapa Dua Wetan 02 with class VI students as research subjects. The research method used is R&D (Research and Development) with the Thiagarajan 4D development model. This development model consists of 4 stages, namely: Difine, Design, and Disseminate. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the development of audio-visual media in Civics learning with a problem-based learning approach in class VI of elementary school is valid and very feasible for use in learning activities. This can be seen from the acquisition of scores by material experts, linguists and media experts, namely an average score of 93.33% in the Very Valid category and one to one trial assessment results of 96.88%, small group trials 95.33 % and 94.05% field test with Very Valid category. The implication of this research is that it is proven that the use of audio-visual media can make students understand the material presented because it is conveyed concretely so that students can achieve learning objectives in a fun way..
