Abstract

This research was motivated by the low social skills of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 017 Ranah Singkuang. This study aims to improve the social skills of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 017 Ranah Singkuang, with a total of 25 students. The research used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in two learning cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings and four learning stages, namely: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques in the form of documentation, observation and tests. While the data analysis technique uses qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, the social skills of class V students at SD Negeri 017 Ranah Singkuang were obtained in the pre-action with a learning mastery percentage of 40%. In cycle 1 meeting I with a learning completeness percentage of 60% and in cycle 1 Meeting II there was an increase with a learning completeness percentage of 76%. In cycle 2 the first meeting also increased with a learning completeness percentage of 84%, and in cycle 2 the second meeting experienced another increase with a learning completeness percentage of 96%. Thus it can be concluded that by applying the social inquiry learning model it can improve the social skills of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 017 Ranah Singkuang.

Abstract

Calling upon the potential for disasters in Indonesia, disaster education in early childhood education seems very crucial.  Disaster education is an effort to create good knowledge, good conditions, and a strong attitude in dealing with disasters.  Disaster education can be carried out at all levels of education, both formal and informal.  The purpose of this study was to determine knowledge and attitudes towards the risk of volcanic disaster in Aceh Besar SAIBAS students.  The method used in this research is a descriptive statistical approach with a quasi-experimental research design.  The quasi-experiment used in this study is Quasi-Experiment: One-Group Pretest-Posttest.  The research was conducted at the Bukit Pedas Islamic Kindergarten (SAIBAS) Aceh The sampling procedure employed in this study involved the utilization of purposive sampling, specifically targeting a cohort of 30 students. The data collection instruments encompassed Likert attitude scales, interviews, and test results. Test analysis techniques were employed for the subsequent data analysis. The findings of the intervention revealed a notable enhancement in both knowledge and attitudes, registering an initial increase of 53 and subsequently escalating to 87. Moreover, the participants demonstrated an 85 capacity in disaster preparedness, underscoring their adeptness in comprehending the risks associated with volcanic activity. This discernible improvement in student capabilities underscores a heightened awareness and understanding of volcanic hazards. There are changes in attitude and knowledge after gaining knowledge about disaster mitigation

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of using the Problem-Solving model assisted by LEAD Adversity Quotient on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The type of research conducted was quasi-experimental research. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The population of this study was all students of Bawen 01 Public Elementary School, and the sample selected for the research was the fourth-grade class of Bawen 01 Public Elementary School. Data were collected using test techniques (pretest, posttest) and non-test techniques (observation, documentation, questionnaire). The data analysis techniques included normality test, homogeneity test, simple linear regression test, and independent sample t-test. The research results revealed the following: (1) There was a significant difference between the control group and the experimental group in terms of mathematical problem-solving abilities, as evidenced by the significance level Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.019 < 0.05 using the independent sample t-test. (2) The implementation of the Problem-Solving model assisted by LEAD Adversity Quotient on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities was proven with a calculated t-value of 6.929 > t-table of 2.120 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 using the simple linear regression test. In conclusion, the Problem-Solving model assisted by LEAD Adversity Quotient has a significant impact and difference in improving students' mathematical problem-solving abilities

Abstract

This study aims to assess the ability of teachers to apply models and scientific approaches to learning. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The population to be studied in this study is the teachers of SMA Se, Kuta Baro District. The sample in this study were biology teachers. The results of the questionnaire in this study showed that the learning model score had an average value of 87%, which is the very good category; and the scientific approach score had an average value of 86%, which is the very good category. The conclusion of this study is that biology teachers at SMA Se, Kuta Baro District, have been able to collaborate on scientific models, and approaches

Abstract

A wealth of empirical evidence documents the positive effects associated with participating in outdoor adventure learning for students, instructors, and the wider community. Nonetheless, there has been a substantial reduction in outdoor learning opportunities for school students, possibly due to a focus on evidence-based outcomes, high standard teacher testing programs, and teachers' lack of knowledge, confidence, and expertise in outdoor teaching and learning. So that the relationship between the environment, students, and teachers needs in-depth study. Therefore, this paper presents an evidence-based model to support teaching practice, in which the focus of the study addresses the needs of outdoor adventure education (OAE) teachers in the concept of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK). The result of this paper is a 'modified' PCK framework for outdoor adventure education tailored to the needs of educators.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the increase in numeracy literacy skills and interest in learning mathematics in class V students at SD 53 Banda Aceh by applying the Problem Base Learning (PBL) model assisted by ULTAMERASI media. The design used in this research was Quasi Experimental Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. From the research results, the pre-test and post-test results showed that the normalized gain (N-Gain) of students' numeracy literacy abilities was sig. (2-tailed) N-Gain score of 0.039 is less than 0.05. And based on the analysis of the results of the pre-test and post-test questionnaires regarding students' interest in learning mathematics, it was found that the normalized gain (N-Gain) had a value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.031. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a difference between the average N-Gain of numeracy literacy abilities and interest in learning mathematics taught using the Problem Base Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by snake and ladder numeracy media (ULTAMERASI) and the average N-Gain of numeracy literacy abilities and students' interest in learning mathematics taught using conventional learning. If we look at the average N-Gain value of the experimental class and control class, it is found that the N-Gain value of the experimental class is higher than the control class, so it can be concluded that the increase in the ability to understand numeracy literacy in the experimental class is better than the control class

Abstract

The Decreasing of public interest about the underdeveloped GMIT schools resulting in a decrease of interest continuing education. GMIT schools think of strategic steps to increase the competitiveness of institutions their education. The purpose of this is to analyze the strategic management of GMIT Elementary School in Lobalain District which was conducted to increase the schools’ competitiveness. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study consist of 18 respondents consisting of 1 Principal and 2 teachers from each GMIT Elementary School in Lobalain District. The data collection techniques used is observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques that used are Analysis Interactive which is divided into 4 parts, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that strategic management has been implemented by school principals according to the implementation stages strategic management, namely observation, strategy formulation/strategy planning, implementation strategy, evaluation and control or supervision. This is done according to the conditions in each school. Efforts to increase the competitiveness of GMIT Elementary School in Lobalain District carried out in the form of observations in the internal and external environment to find out the strengths and the weaknesses of schools, preparing short-term and long-term work programs, implementing work programs and conducting regular evaluations.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning outcomes of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri Modal Bangsa in staging drama through the role playing method. This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Data collected by test and observation. Data analysis using simple statistical analysis. The results of the study show that the table above shows that the average score of students reaches 81.2 and the percentage of learning completeness reaches 92.5% or in other words around 37 out of 40 students complete learning. The highest score is 95 and the lowest score is 65. These results indicate that learning completeness has increased better than learning with conventional methods. The implementation of this research has met the target of minimum completeness criteria. Thus, the conclusion of this study is that the learning outcomes of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri Modal Bangsa have increased by using the role playing method

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Flash Card media on English vocabulary mastery in grade IV at SDN Pegadungan 02 Pagi. This study used a quantitative experimental approach with the Quasi-Experimental Design type of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were 120 students in class IV at SDN Pegadungan 02 Pagi with a sample of 60 students in two classes divided into 30 students in class IV A as the control class and 30 students in class IV C as the experimental class. The data collection technique used a test (pretest and posttest) of English vocabulary in the form of short entries totaling 10 questions. This research was tested and analyzed with the help of SPSS. In the independent sample t-test posttest test, the sig value was obtained. (2 - tailed) 0.009 <0.05 which shows that there is an effect of using Flash Card media on English vocabulary mastery. The average posttest score for the experimental class was 82 and 71.67 for the control posttest class. This shows that the use of Flash Card media increases students' vocabulary mastery more significantly

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of canva-based learning media on human reproductive system material to improve learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Indrapuri. This type of research is pre-experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The population is all students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Indrapuri. The sample in this study amounted to 25 people from class XI IPA I. The research instruments used were questions with test techniques to determine the improvement of learning outcomes. Data analysis techniques using N-Gain test and T test to test the hypothesis. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students in class XI IPA 1 before using canva-based learning media were with an average of 38.52 and learning outcomes after using canva-based learning media were with an average of 80.2. The difference between students' pre-test and post-test scores averaged 41.68, and N-gain 0.6656 with a high category. There is an effect of the application of Canva-based learning media for students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Indrapuri on the Material of the Human Reproductive System with a t-count value greater than the t-table 28,300> 2064. With the results of this study, teachers or educators are expected to choose the use of Canva media as one of the learning media that can improve student learning outcomes, especially on the material of the human reproductive system.
