Abstract

This research aims to analyze the communication patterns and characteristics used by educators towards students with special needs at SLB Surakarta. Effective communication between educators and students is essential in the learning process, especially in special education settings, where students have a wide range of different needs and abilities. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, which allows researchers to explore direct and in-depth experiences regarding communication interactions between educators and students. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, literature study, and information analysis. The results of the research show that there are several communication patterns used by educators at SLB C1 YSSD Surakarta in interacting with students with special needs, including: (1) Two-way communication patterns that encourage active interaction between teachers and students, (2) Verbal communication patterns that involves the use of simple and easy to understand language, (3) Nonverbal communication patterns which include facial expressions, body movements, and gestures to support the message conveyed, (4) Repeated communication patterns carried out to ensure student understanding, (5) Communication patterns that emphasize each word to attract students' attention and help them stay focused, and (6) Communicate with empathy and openness to build closer relationships and support the learning process. The conclusion of this research shows that educators at SLB Surakarta apply various communication patterns designed to overcome challenges in interacting with students with special needs, by emphasizing the importance of clear, empathetic and open communication to support successful learning

Abstract

Implementing multicultural education is essential in education, as it fosters respectful attitudes among students and promotes a deep understanding of religious tolerance. This study aims to analyze the extent to which the implementation of multicultural education influences the level of religious tolerance at Payeti Christian Middle School, East Sumba Regency. The research employs a quantitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzes the data using descriptive statistics with the SPSS 27 application. The results of the study found that the application of multicultural education increased religious tolerance by 33.2% > 5%, which means that Ho was rejected, and Ha was accepted. Thus, multicultural education significantly impacts the degree of religious tolerance, as demonstrated by the P5 initiative at Payeti Christian Middle School in East Sumba Regency. Therefore, the implementation of multicultural education to increase religious tolerance needs to be carried out sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of improving civic skills in the workforce. The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 has had an impact on the world of employment, which is required for citizens to adapt in order to maintain their lives. At this point it is necessary to make preparations for citizens to increase their competence. BLK is a state’s tool that functions as a facility for increasing citizen skills. The research was conducted at BLK Aceh Province. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection using techniques such as observations, interviews, and document analysis. Participants in this study were instructors and trainees. The results of the study show that BLK has improved civic skills through the training program implemented

Abstract

Abstrak: Kondisi disabilitas ini merupakan kenyataan yang perlu diperhatikan dan memerlukan dukungan individu secara penuh dan pada akhirnya akan menyita sumber daya keluarga. Kehadiran disabilitas juga kerap kali menimbulkan sejumlah stres bagi anak, yang dapat memengaruhi perkembangan fisik, kognitif, emosional, dan sosialnya. Akibatnya, hal ini dapat berdampak negatif pada rasa harga diri seorang anak. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus sebagai desain utamanya. Fokus penelitian akan difokuskan pada orang tua (MN) anak berkebutuhan khusus sebagai objek penelitian dengan variabel dependen yaitu peran orang tua dalam memahami resiliensi dan tantangan anak berkebutuhan khusus dalam pendidikan. Orang tua belum sepenuhnya memahami resiliensi anak berkebutuhan khusus, tetapi orang tua tetap berusaha semaksimal mungkin untuk memahami resiliensi tersebut. Meskipun masih merupakan cara yang kuno, menurut mereka, pemahaman tersebut dapat membantu anak berkebutuhan khusus dalam segala hal. Ketahanan merupakan upaya individu untuk beradaptasi secara efektif terhadap situasi yang penuh tekanan, sehingga dapat pulih dan berfungsi secara optimal serta mampu mengatasi tantangan. Dukungan yang diberikan oleh orang tua tidak hanya membantu anak dalam aspek akademis, tetapi juga membentuk kesejahteraan emosional mereka. Dengan kolaborasi antara orang tua, sekolah, dan masyarakat, kita dapat menciptakan kesempatan yang lebih baik bagi anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus untuk mencapai potensi penuh mereka dalam pendidikan dan kehidupan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaksimalkan peran orang tua dalam memahami ketahanan pada anak berkebutuhan khusus dan menganalisis tantangan yang dihadapi oleh anak berkebutuhan khusus dalam pendidikan.Kata Kunci : Disabilitas, ketahanan, anak berkebutuhan khusus Abstrak: Kondisi disabilitas ini merupakan kenyataan yang perlu diperhatikan dan membutuhkan adanya dukungan penuh secara individu dan nantinya akan menyita sumber daya keluarga. Abstract

This study investigates the use of technology by students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Aceh in their preparation for the TOEFL exam. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through a structured questionnaire. The findings reveal that 90% of respondents regularly utilize technology, particularly smartphones and laptops, alongside online platforms such as YouTube, Magoosh, and Duolingo. These tools were found to be effective in providing access to study materials and practice tests, with students emphasizing their convenience and accessibility. Additionally, students reported positive impacts on their English language learning, citing increased motivation, improved time management, and greater confidence in their TOEFL preparation. The study highlights the significant role of technology in enhancing learning efficiency and recommends that educational institutions further integrate technological tools to support students in standardized test preparation

Abstract

This research aims to oversee the School Based Management (MBS) initiative to improve the quality and standards of education at SD Islam Plus Daaruth Thullab 03 Sitiung. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations and comprehensive documentation involving school principals, teachers, administrative staff and school committees. Research findings show that the implementation of SBM at this institution is effective, facilitated by the active participation of various stakeholders, including parents, teachers and the community in the decision-making process at the school. Strategies used to improve the quality or standards of education include curriculum management, teacher professional development, and administration of facilities and infrastructure. However, there are several challenges, including limited resources and inadequate teacher training, that hinder optimal implementation of SBM. Nevertheless, MBS has been proven to contribute positively in improving the quality of education at SD Islam Plus Daaruth Thullab 03 Sitiung, as seen from the increase in student learning outcomes and quality of learning. This research suggests increased training and better resource allocation to support the successful implementation of SBM on a sustainable basis

Abstract

This is the problem that is often overlooked by teachers who do not prepare penjasorkes learning model, causing learners are not interested in following numbers athletics javelin learning and learners will feel bored. One model of learning that can stimulate learners to participate actively in the learning process is learning models athletics javelin numbers game form. Purpose of research to the development of learning models athletics javelin number of the games for elementary school students. This type of research is the development of research. The research subject of sixth grade students of State Elementary School 8 Banda Aceh totaling 23. The instrument used in the research instrument to validate the model development. Data collection was conducted validation and reliability. The results of this study concluded that: The athletic learning model number of javelin form games for elementary school students consisting of 14 statements can be included in the learning because it has a high level of validity with the acquisition of validity score of 0.649 so that it can be used for athletic learning model javelin number game form for elementary school students and Has a level of reliability with the reliability score of 0.624 that can be used on the number of javelin shapes game play Primary School students

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of science literacy among students, which leads to suboptimal understanding of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) material, particularly regarding changes in the states of matter. Additionally, in the learning process, teachers have not utilized instructional media that support the comprehension of these concepts. Therefore, the aim of this research is to develop a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) media focused on the topic of changes in the states of matter, to enhance the science literacy skills of fifth-grade students at SDK Wolowio, Beiwali Village, Bajawa District, Ngada Regency. With a total of 19 students involved, determining the sample size and sampling technique is crucial to ensure the validity and reliability of the research findings. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach by implementing the ADDIE development model, which includes the phases of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. To collect relevant data, the researcher utilized several techniques, including initial observations to assess the learning conditions, interviews with related parties to gain in-depth information, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the developed instructional media is feasible for use and has a positive impact on improving the science literacy of students at SDK Wolowio The research findings indicate that implementing the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on the topic of changes in the states of matter effectively enhances the science literacy skills of fifth-grade students at SDK Wolowio. This is evident from the improvement in students' science literacy scores, increasing from 55% in the pre-test to 75% in the post-test, reflecting a significant 20% gain. The feasibility of this learning media is also supported by validation results from experts, with scores as follows: media expert at 83.3%, material expert at 83.75%, and language expert at 88%, all categorized as very valid. Additionally, positive responses were received from both teachers and students, with questionnaire scores of 86.25% and 80%, respectively. Students demonstrated enthusiasm in using the props for changes in the states of matter and were able to better understand the types and characteristics of these changes

Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze students' responses to inquiry-based STEM learning to improve students' STEM literacy through making environmentally friendly plastics. This research was conducted in one of the junior high schools in the city of Surabaya with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The data collection technique was carried out using a student response questionnaire to the application of the learning model carried out. The data obtained will be analyzed by calculating the percentage of each student's answer so that positive and negative student responses are obtained. Based on the results of the study, it was stated that the students' responses showed positive results for all indicators. In the indicator of the ability to identify problems, the percentage of student responses to the indicator of ability to solve problems using STEM scored 75.83%, the percentage of student responses to the indicator of ability to determine new knowledge scored 77.92%, the percentage of student responses to the indicator of ability to apply STEM concepts scored 72.08%, the percentage of student responses to the indicator of ability to solve problems using STEM scored 73.33%, the percentage of student responses to the indicator of ability to communicate related to STEM scored 75.83%, while the indicator of the ability to make the right decisions based on STEM scored 74.17%. Thus, it can be concluded that the student response is in the good category.  The inquiry-based STEM model can be used as one of the learning models that can improve students' STEM literacy.

Abstract

Learning of creed and morals is expected to encourage students to be actively involved in the learning process. To realize this, it is necessary to implement appropriate learning strategies. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Learning Start With a Question strategy in learning Creed and Morals at MAN. The study used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving teachers, principals, and students as data sources. The results of the study showed that teachers had designed a good Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), but implementation in the classroom was not yet fully optimal. The results of this study concluded that the Learning Start With a Question strategy was effective in increasing student activity although it required further optimization in its implementation.
