Abstract

Neuroscience is a discourse that is always interesting to discuss with various perspectives, such as neuron studies with psychological, ecological, religious approaches and so on. The study of neurons integrated with fiqh is something new and fresh to be discussed globally. Neuroscience jurisprudence is a model of fiqh discovery using a sense, soul and mental approach as an inseparable part of the holy conscience engagement model, or also biased by the perspective of conscience satisfaction in carrying out worship. Nerve cells driven by transmitters such as adrenaline, acetylcholine, dopamine and others play an important role in stimulating neurons to integrate with each other in encouraging someone to do something. The presence of this paper by offering the formulation of neuroscience fiqh is an addition to the enthusiasm and passion for fiqh science connected to human nerve cell networks, giving rise to fiqh formulations that are very rich in aspects of taste and mentality that have so far been rarely empowered.

Abstract

This study examines the roles of the Bandar Lampung City Police and District Attorney's Office in ensuring legal certainty and public benefit. As field research, data was gathered directly from these institutions, utilizing a qualitative approach that does not involve statistical testing. Findings reveal that the Police contribute to legal certainty and economic recovery through maintaining security and public order, enforcing the law, distributing social assistance, and conducting routine patrols. The District Attorney's Office supports economic recovery through prosecution and legal assistance roles. However, challenges like limited human resources and community support hinder optimal performance. Both institutions operate under positive law (Police: Article 13 of Law No. 2 of 2002; District Attorney's Office: Article 2 of Law No. 16 of 2004) and align with Islamic principles of Fiqh Siyasah Tanfidziyah, ensuring their actions adhere to both statutory and Islamic law.

Using a qualitative approach with literature study methods, in-depth interviews, and discourse analysis, this study explores the expectations of the people towards NU as an institution that must be able to bridge tradition with modernity. The findings show that the people expect NU to maintain religious values and local wisdom while accommodating global dynamics and technological developments. The implications of this study highlight the need for innovative strategies in tradition management, religious education reform, and openness to cross-cultural dialogue to meet the challenges of the second century. In the context of preserving traditions, religious values and local wisdom are the foundation of identity that must be maintained. Abstract

This paper analyzes the thoughts of Haidar Bagir and Habib Ja'far regarding tolerance as a way of love in the context of a multicultural and multireligious Indonesian society. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a hermeneutic phenomenological approach, which focuses on analyzing the texts, lectures, and writings of the two figures. The purpose of this research is to understand how the idea of tolerance can be applied in facing the challenges of diversity in Indonesia. The results of the analysis show that Haidar Bagir emphasizes the importance of love as the foundation of tolerance, which must start from individual awareness, while Habib Ja'far invites people to prioritize compassion in interfaith interactions. Although the thoughts of both figures offer constructive solutions, challenges such as radicalization, the spread of hoaxes, and identity politics still hamper efforts to build tolerance. The conclusion of this study confirms that tolerance as a way of love is not just a concept, but a real action that must be realized in everyday life, with the support of various elements of society to create harmony in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores the role of kyai leadership as a conservative force in preserving traditional values at Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Qur’an Banjarrejo. In the face of modernization and social change, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are confronted with significant challenges to the continuity of their cultural heritage and value systems. As both spiritual and organizational leaders, kyai play a central role in maintaining the ideological stability of the pesantren through their charismatic authority, moral exemplarity, and adaptive strategies in response to change. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, this research utilizes in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Thematic analysis is used to identify patterns of conservative kyai leadership and strategies for value preservation. The findings reveal that kyai internalize salafiyah values through religious rituals, the teaching of classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning), modest lifestyles, and the selective integration of technology. Kyai function as both guardians of tradition and adaptive agents who ensure the continuity of pesantren values amid a changing social landscape. This study fills a gap in the literature on pesantren conservatism and demonstrates that kyai leadership remains relevant and effective in confronting the pressures of modernity while upholding the cultural and spiritual integrity of the pesantren.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the classical Islamic text As-Suluk al-Asasiyah to uncover its character education values relevant to Islamic religious education. The book was chosen due to its comprehensive content and limited prior academic investigation. The research seeks to identify character values, analyze their role in moral development, and evaluate their potential as a model for character education in both formal and informal Islamic institutions. A qualitative approach was employed using library research, with As-Suluk al-Asasiyah as the primary source, supported by secondary literature such as books, journals, and scholarly articles. The findings reveal four core categories of character values in the book: (1) al-imaniyah (faith-based values), which instill spiritual awareness; (2) al-jasadiyah (physical values), emphasizing hygiene and health ethics; (3) al-ubudiyah (worship values), promoting discipline in religious practices; and (4) al-ijtima’iyah (social values), fostering compassion and cooperation in society. These values are practical and align with the Islamic educational vision of forming a well-rounded, virtuous individual (insan kamil). Therefore, As-Suluk al-Asasiyah serves as a valuable reference for developing Islamic character education curricula, offering both contextual relevance and rootedness in Islamic moral traditions.
