Abstract

Critical thinking skills are a requirement that needs to be possessed in 21st-century learning. The development of e-modules based on the latest technology that can improve students' critical thinking skills is very important. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of STEM-based learning e-modules on business and energy to improve critical thinking skills in high school students. Development research using 4D design. The purposive area sampling method resulted in 3 schools, namely SMAN 3 Jember, small and large group trials, distribution school trials, namely SMAN Mumbulsari and SMAN Jenggawah. The test subjects were class X high school students. The results of this research are that STEM-based learning e-modules are declared effective for improving critical thinking skills based on the N-gain value in small group trials of 0.68 in the medium category, large group trials of 0.72 in the high category, and school trials. spread of 0.65 in the medium category. The overall average N-gain value is categorized as moderate.

Abstract

The individuals within the university community, encompassed in the academic society, constitute a vital component of the nation that functions as supporters of Pancasila values. Indonesia as a nation that acknowledges God, emphasizes humanity, unity, democracy, and social justice, regards Pancasila as a valuable foundation. This research aims to elucidate how Pancasila should be actualized within the educational environment, particularly from a legal perspective, focusing on IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. The research question is: "How is the actualization of Pancasila in the legal perspective within the university environment?" This study adopts a qualitative research approach, utilizing data collection methods such as interviews and documentation. The findings indicate that the societal order, especially within the university environment, needs to reflect Pancasila's values in daily life. As students equipped with knowledge and technology, coupled with a profound intellectual sense, they can leverage their capabilities and the support provided by the academic institution to collectively achieve shared goals.

Abstract

This research aims to find an easy way to use green screens in making learning videos to make it easier for educators to convey learning. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive research. This research took data from lecturers or teachers at IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. Data analysis through data collection through interviews and observations to the practice of making learning videos using a green screen. Learning video making activities use the video making stages from pre-production from story idea, synopsis, treatment script and full script. The production stage is the process of recording learning videos using a green screen background and collecting data in the form of images and writing. The third stage of post-production includes the editing stage, where the videos that have been taken are put together and everything that doesn't need to be removed by also editing the background using greenscreen to become the desired background.

Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of describing several things, namely (1) describing and explaining language errors from the use of capital letters in writing Reader's Letters in the 2023 edition of Hidayatullah Magazine, (2) describing and explaining language errors in writing words in Reader's Letters in the Magazine Hidayatullah 2023 edition, (3) describes and explains language errors in the use of punctuation marks in the Reader's Letter in the 2023 edition of Hidayatullah Magazine. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research design. The data for this research is in the form of Reader Letters in the 2023 edition of Suara Hidayatullah magazine. The method in this research is the observation method. This data was collected through observation. The data collection technique used was reading and note-taking. In collecting data, the researcher read the Reader's Letter and then observed language errors according to the spelling level, especially errors in the use of capital letters, errors in writing words, and errors in the use of punctuation marks. To maintain the validity of the data, data triangulation activities were carried out. Data analysis activities start from the data review stage, data identification and classification stage, and data evaluation stage.

Abstract

Merdeka Belajar as launched by Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology drive some stakeholders to adapt the learning environment to optimizing the quality of graduate in all level. The aim of this article is to examine entrepreneurship-based curriculum development in vocational high school which is related to the definition of the entrepreneurship curriculum, the basis for its preparation entrepreneurship curriculum, entrepreneurship curriculum development design and entrepreneurial values included in the entrepreneurship curriculum. Entrepreneurship curriculum development is becoming a thing which is important in order to reduce unemployment in the country and increase people's prosperity. Vocational school is a strategic place for developing an entrepreneurship-based curriculum since at this stage, students already have complete thinking abilities so that very potential for them to absorb and apply entrepreneurial values in their learning experiences.

Abstract

As educational leadership increasingly recognizes the pivotal role of coaching competence, this study delves into the nuanced landscape of coaching competencies exhibited by a cohort of 2022 school principal candidates. Amidst the expectations for exemplary instructional leadership, this study reveals a disconcerting reality – school principal candidates exhibit coaching competence only at a fair level, falling short of the desired excellence. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative research design, the authors scrutinized the coaching competence of a diverse cohort of principal candidates through questionnaires and in-depth interviews. Results illuminate specific challenges in coaching, ranging from limited practical application of coaching skills to gaps in mentorship opportunities. Despite the fair level of competence, the study identifies untapped opportunities for improvement, suggesting tailored training and professional development initiatives. The findings not only contribute to the current discourse on coaching competence but also underscore the critical need for targeted interventions to elevate the proficiency of school principal candidates in navigating the complexities of educational leadership.

Abstract

The purpose of the research includes: 1) describing the steps for implementing flipped classroom learning schoology apps based on Civics teaching and learning; 2) identify the affects interest in learning and the quality of Civics learning. Research design used was classroom action research (CAR) involving 32 students in Civics & English subjects. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, pre- and post-tests, as well as questionnaires. The data analysis used is theme-analysis. The results of this research showed that: 1) there are several steps in implementing the flipped classroom learning model based on schoology apps, including pre-action, action, and post-action stages; 2) there are several effects emerges: the positive results resulting from implementing this learning model include increasing motivation, students' interest in learning and learning outcomes in Civics subjects. Further research on how Student responses to the implementation of the flipped classroom based on schoology apps are recommended for carried out to improve the application of this learning model.

Abstract

Textbooks have a wide range of complex issues, from outdated information to cultural biases. Identifying these drawbacks provides a useful lens through which to assess the usefulness and suitability of textbook-based instruction in contemporary classrooms. The objectives of this research are to know the weaknesses associated with the use of textbooks and to know does the function of the textbook works as it should or not. This research uses the quantitative design and uses the questionnaire with the Likert Scale. The respondents are twenty-five teachers. The result of this research is completed and included in the “Good” Categories with a total score / Y x 100, or 1622 / 22500 x 100. That is 72,1 %. Fewer weaknesses are identified in the textbook. So, it can be concluded that weaknesses associated with the use of textbooks are a few and the function of the textbook works as it should.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the role of Muhammadiyah education in social transformation that influences people’s lives. The approach used is literature study. Capitalism in the educational context is often associated with the exploitation of business opportunities, whic often leads to unethical practices, such as the use of educational funds for personal gain or institutional interests. The aim of this research is to find a solution to overcome the problem of capitalization in education, which has had an impact on the high dropout rate among students. economic empowwerment efforts are important in this context, where education funding is often subsidized to overcome the challenge of high costs in providing education.

Abstract

Learning using the new paradigm currently provides freedom for teachers to design learning and assessments that can be adapted to the characteristics of students. One of them is differentiated learning. This research aims to find out how far students' abilities have increased in studying science material through the application of differentiated learning. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects in this research involved 30 class V students at SDN Putat Jaya IV. This research was carried out through 2 cycles. Based on the research results, the average pre-test score was 49 (20% completeness). In the post-test scores in cycle I, an average score of 66 was obtained (60% completeness). Cycle II obtained an average score of 80 (77% completeness). Based on the results of these values, it can be concluded that there is an increase in science learning outcomes by implementing differentiated learning.
