Abstract

The learning process should encourage students’ initiative, creativity, and independence in line with their potential and developmental stages. Economics learning in Phase E of Grade X senior high school serves as a fundamental basis for understanding core economic concepts. This study developed and evaluated the EcoLearn application, an adaptive and interactive m-learning–based medium, using the ADDIE model. A quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control groups was implemented at SMAN 4 Sidoarjo (35 students per class) and SMAN 2 Sidoarjo (40 students per class). Expert validation confirmed high feasibility (content 87.82%, media 95.71%, language 95.38%). The experimental classes showed significant improvement in conceptual understanding compared to the control classes, with N-Gain scores of 0.7775 and 0.7592 (high category). Student responses were highly positive (92.14% and 93.13%), highlighting ease of use and increased motivation, particularly for inclusive students. The findings demonstrate that EcoLearn is effective, feasible, and impactful in strengthening differentiated learning, while also supporting inclusive education for students with mild learning difficulties such as slow learners and physically disabled students.

The interactive module developed contains digital marketing learning materials, interactive evaluations, and multimedia content accessed via Android devices. The results of validation by material experts, language experts, and media experts showed that the interactive module developed was declared very feasible to use. Product trials were conducted on 40 vocational high school students who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The results of the study showed that the use of interactive modules significantly improved student learning outcomes. The research results show that the use of interactive modules significantly improves student learning outcomes. Furthermore, student responses to the interactive modules were very positive, both in terms of ease of use, appeal, and efficiency. Therefore, these interactive modules are effective in digital marketing learning to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Computational Thinking (CT) is one of the approaches in learning that can be used to train students in solving complex problems into simpler ones so that they can be solved more effectively. Research on the effectiveness of CT in learning has been widely conducted, but reflective research that explores the experiences of prospective language teachers has not been widely found. This study aims to reveal the reflections of prospective Indonesian language teachers when implementing the Computational Thinking (CT) approach in the learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach with a reflective-narrative study design. The data sources in this study are 19 prospective language teachers who are currently participating in education and training organized by a private university in Indonesia. Based on thematic analysis of the results of participant reflections, four main themes were found, namely (1) interesting experiences in implementing CT, (2) challenges and failures faced, (3) changes in mindset and learning strategies, and (4) improving the quality of learning. The results of the study show that although the implementation of CT presents cognitive challenges, the use of CT is able to form systematic mindsets, encourage self-evaluation, and improve the quality of learning design and implementation. This study recommends strengthening practice-based and reflection-based CT training in prospective teacher education.
