Abstract

The Joyful Learning method is one of the teaching methods considered enjoyable for students. This method is assumed to be more effective in increasing students' learning interest compared to the direct instruction method. Therefore, this study aims to examine whether there is a difference in the average level of students’ learning interest between those taught using the Joyful Learning method and those taught using direct instruction, as well as to measure the effect size of the method on learning interest. This study employed a Quasi-Experimental Design approach. The sample consisted of 30 fifth-grade students from class V B, which served as the experimental group. The sampling technique used in this study was saturated sampling. Data were collected using a student learning interest questionnaire. The data analysis techniques used were the independent sample t-test and Effect Size. The results of the study indicate that: (1) Based on the independent sample t-test, the result shows a t-value of 4.762, which is greater than the t-table value of 2.0017 (4.762 > 2.0017), thus Hₐ is accepted and Hₒ is rejected. This indicates a significant difference in the average learning interest in IPAS (Social Sciences) between the class using the Joyful Learning method assisted by audio-visual media and the class using direct instruction. (2) The Effect Size value was found to be 1.3, which falls under the "very large effect" category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Joyful Learning method assisted by audio-visual media has a significant impact on the learning interest of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 5 Singkawang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs for developing Android-based instructional materials for Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at the elementary school level in Pemalang Regency. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using proportional cluster random sampling, involving principals, teachers, students, and parents as respondents. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, and then analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods. The results reveal that all respondent groups expressed positive responses toward the need for developing Android-based digital learning materials. Principals and teachers believed that digital media could overcome the limitations of conventional teaching methods, while students showed high enthusiasm for interactive and flexible learning media. Parents also strongly supported the use of digital media for independent learning at home. These findings affirm that developing Android-based IPAS learning materials is seen as a strategic solution to enhance the effectiveness, engagement, and quality of IPAS learning in elementary schools. The implications of this study highlight the importance of providing digital facilities, teacher training, and active collaboration between schools and parents to build a technology-based learning ecosystem that is adaptive to the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Scramble learning model on students' learning motivation in the Indonesian Language subject of second grade of State Elementary School 136 Palembang. This research was conducted at State Elementary School 136 Palembang in the 2024/2025 academic year. The type of research used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test post-test control group design. The population in this study were all classes II.A and II.B of State Elementary School 136 Palembang. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling, for class II.A as the experimental class and class II.B as the control class. Data collection techniques used in the study were observation and questionnaires. The results of the study obtained from the average value (posttest) of the experimental class 82.19 and the control class 70.46. And for the hypothesis test using the independent sample t-Test, the tcount value = 3.477> ttable = 2.008 was obtained with a significance level (α) of 0.05, so Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. It can be concluded that "There is an influence of the Scramble learning model on students' learning motivation in the Indonesian language subject of second grade of State Elementary School 136 Palembang.

Abstract

The formation of a faithful and pious character is a fundamental aspect in the world of education that plays an important role in the formation of personality, strengthening moral and ethical foundations. This study focuses on the implementation of character education based on the Pancasila Student Profile through the approach of habituating religious activities in schools. This study aims to describe habituation based on religious activities in the character education of the Pancasila Student Profile in the dimension of faith and piety to God Almighty. This type of research uses case study research. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal and teachers and using non-participant observation techniques in the habituation of religious activities and documentation in the form of activity schedules, evaluation reports, and photos of activities. The subjects of this study were seven people, namely the principal and class teachers of phase A. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. The validity test of the data used in this study used triangulation of sources and techniques. The research findings show that habituation based on religious activities in the implementation of Pancasila Student Profile character education at SD Plus Fatimah Az-Zahro in the dimension of faith and devotion to God Almighty is carried out through five habituation approaches, namely reading the Qur'an, praying Dhuha in congregation, praying Zuhur in congregation, praying, and being fond of giving alms. The habituation approach based on religious activities in schools can strengthen the implementation of Pancasila Student Profile character education, especially in the dimension of faith and piety.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the preparedness of elementary school teachers in Jepara Regency to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into classroom learning. The method used is mixed methods with a convergent design, combining quantitative data through questionnaires and qualitative data through interviews and observations. A total of 30 elementary schools were randomly selected from 572 elementary schools, with 80 teachers as respondents. The results of the study indicate that the majority of teachers have an understanding and positive attitude towards AI, as well as high motivation to use it in learning. However, technical skills and AI utilization vary. The use of AI is still dominant in administrative aspects, while its utilization in learning activities remains limited. The main challenges faced include a lack of training, infrastructure limitations, and the need for policy support. The recommendations from this research emphasize the importance of continuous training, strengthening digital infrastructure, and collaboration between teachers, schools, and the government to ensure the successful implementation of AI in basic education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop pocket book learning media assisted by Wordwall to improve learning outcomes in natural and social science learning on harmony in ecosystems for grade V students of SDN 2 Sukosono, Jepara Regency. This development is motivated by the limitations of conventional learning media that are less interesting and less effective, as well as the complexity of natural and social science materials that require innovative and interactive media so that students more easily understand the material and are interested in learning. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires, documentation, observation, and multiplechoice tests. This study used data analysis of normality test, sampled paired T-test and N-Gain test. Based on validation from media experts of 93.6% (very feasible), material experts of 90.5% (very feasible), and the results of teacher and student responses of 100% (very feasible), it shows that the pocket book media assisted by wordwall is feasible to use. This can be seen from the results of the paired sample t-test which shows a significance value of 0.000 which means that the average post-test value increases from the previous pre-test average. The N-Gain test shows a value of 0.4 which is said to be effective in the moderate category. Based on the validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests, the Wordwall-assisted pocket book media proved effective in supporting learning. This media is expected to optimally help students' understanding of Harmony in Ecosystems material and improve learning outcomes.

Abstract

Digital literacy is an important competency in supporting the success of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). This study aims to describe the role of digital literacy in the implementation of P5 at SD Negeri Gurawan. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that digital literacy plays a role in improving critical and creative thinking skills, supporting collaboration, instilling digital ethics, encouraging learning independence, and strengthening understanding of local and global cultures. In addition, the use of digital media facilitates students in expressing ideas and works, which has an impact on strengthening the six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile. These findings indicate that digital literacy not only improves the quality of learning, but also shapes student character according to Pancasila values.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an illustrated storybook featuring Wayang Serangga for thematic learning among elementary school students.  This study uses a development method by adapting the Borg and Gall development model. The development stages carried out include needs analysis, development design, creation of the initial prototype, evaluation, and production. Data analysis was conducted using product feasibility testing based on evaluation results, which covered several important aspects: material expert validation, media expert validation, trial results with target users, and expert assessment of the students’ work. Each of these aspects plays a role in assessing the extent to which the developed product meets quality and effectiveness standards for use in the learning context. The book was evaluated as "highly feasible" by content experts with a score of 91.0%, and by media experts with a score of 84.1%. Implementation of the storybook among fifth-grade elementary students yielded a "very good" response to the media at 98.7%, a "very good" level of material comprehension at 90.7%, and a "very good" level of character values comprehension at 81.2%. The students' project outcomes were categorized as 15% "less good," 40% "good," and 45% "very good." Based on these results, the illustrated storybook featuring wayang serangga is considered appropriate for use in thematic learning for fifth-grade elementary students.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is: is there a relationship between giving homework (pr) and the learning outcomes of grade III elementary school students, is there a relationship between giving the role of parents at home and the learning outcomes of grade III elementary school students, and is there a relationship between the relationship between giving homework (pr) and the role of parents at home with the learning outcomes of grade III elementary school students. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between giving homework (pr) and the learning outcomes of grade III elementary school students, to determine the role of parents at home with the learning outcomes of grade III elementary school students and to determine the relationship between giving homework (pr) and the role of parents at home with the learning outcomes of grade III elementary school students. The method used in this study is correlation research with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires, tests and documentation, while data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis, normality tests, multiple linear regression correlations, F tests, Determinant Coefficient Tests. Based on the results of the study, it shows that there is a significant relationship between Giving Homework (PR) and the Role of Parents at Home with the Learning Outcomes of Grade III Elementary School Students. Because, the results of the multiple correlation calculation at a strong correlation level of 0.662. The F test for N = 56 with a significance level of 5% (df = N-2) obtained a result of 20.67 > 3.52, this result indicates that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Meanwhile, the contribution of the Relationship between Homework (pr) and the Role of Parents at Home with the Learning Outcomes of Grade III Elementary School Students is 44%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of flashcard media using Canva application in improving the early reading skills of first grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kadipiro. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent pre-test-post-test design. Data collection was done through pre-test and post-test and data recording. The sample of this study was 56 students divided into two classes, namely classes 1A and 1B with the number of students in each class as many as 28 students, class 1A as the control group and class 1B as the experimental group. There was a significant increase in the experimental group's average score from pre-test (61.678) to post-test (83.928). A paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference before and after the treatment. N-Gain analysis showed that flashcard media was more effective than alphabet poster media, with the experimental class having an N-Gain of 58.06 and the control class having an N-Gain of 34.88. This study concluded that flashcards using the Canva application were effective in improving students' early reading skills.
