Abstract

The importance of teaching staff in innovating in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is something that must be considered, one of which is innovating in presenting teaching materials. Electronic-based teaching materials that can be easily used by students are electronic-based student worksheets (E-LKM). E-LKM represents an easily assessable resource for a student. The utilization of E-LKM by students should be in alignment with their specific needs, one of which is the role of universities in promoting the cultivation of organic food crops. Therefore, one of the steps forward involves designing an E-LKM based on the cultivation of organic food plants. This research introduces a novel approach, which will develop an E-LKM based on organic food crop cultivation which is expected to provide insight to students about the importance of cultivating organic food crops as a form of food self-sufficiency. The development of this E-LKM design based on organic food crop cultivation adapts the ADDIE development model. It can be concluded that the ADDIE Model is used in the design of developing E-LKM based on organic food crop cultivation because it has systematic steps, is presented in detail, and produces specific products. From our result, evaluation criteria encompass material validity, practicality, and readability aiming for a minimum score of 85.0-100%.

Abstract

Environmental education and conservation education play crucial roles in cultivating an environmentally subject and conservation society. The purpose of this research was to describe the implementation of religiously charged conservation education and various learning methods that can be used in conservation education. This study focused on the implementation of religiously charged conservation education and exploring diverse learning methods applicable to conservation education. The literature study method is used to analyze various reference sources and synthesize them into an idea that is contextual to the relevant issue. The results of the literature review found that integrating religious value-charged conservation education can be one of the solutions to build awareness and concern for environmental sustainability. Religious values can be the individual spirit in instilling a positive attitude toward the environment so that it will build the spirit of religious conservationists. The planning of a conservation education program can generally be divided into three stages: the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages of the program. For a Formal education setting, learning methods such as mini research, JAS, PjBL, and Field trips can be chosen as learning methods for conservation education effectively. In a non-formal education context, alternatives like extension, socialization, integration of local culture, and the like can be chosen as options for promoting conservation education.

Abstract

Print media such as encyclopedia still holds advantages in learning. As learning media, encyclopedias can be employed to convey current issues occurring in society that are broad and highly important. The high prevalence of toddlers with stunting indicates is crucial to be presented comprehensively. Encyclopedia can act as enrichment by discussing material that can broaden students' perspectives and understanding. However, limited encyclopedias have been developed. This research aims to develop an encyclopedia as a learning medium for Growth and Development material in high school. Enrichment with stunting information is aimed not only at increasing students' understanding, but also at supporting government programs related to efforts to reduce national stunting rates. The research and development method applied uses the ADDIE model which is limited to the first three stages (analysis, design, and development). The initial product is tested for suitability in six aspects, namely presentation, graphics, layout, content, language and use by 5 validators. The validity calculation uses the Aiken's V formula and the final value is 0.93. Referring to the minimum validity value for five validators, the encyclopedia that has been developed meets the valid category in all aspects and indicators. It is hoped that further research can be carried out to implement encyclopedias in learning.

Abstract

Indonesia has abundant natural resources, including tropical rainforests, biodiversity, mineral mines, waters, and coastal areas. Utilization of these resources must be carried out wisely and sustainably to ensure the welfare of future generations. This research aims to evaluate people's attitudes and behavior towards the environment, especially in river and coastal areas in Central Java, Indonesia. The research methods used are surveys, observations and interviews. The survey was carried out by distributing a questionnaire consisting of 30 questions. This statement includes awareness of protecting the coastal and river environment and real actions or behaviors that care about the surrounding environment. Data collected from the survey was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques to identify general patterns of respondents' attitudes and behavior. The research results show that people's attitudes toward environmental care are in the high category for 49% of respondents and very high for 51% of respondents. These results do not reflect some of the real actions taken by the community, especially in coastal areas. Several factors influencing environmental awareness were analyzed, including age, gender and education level. Researchers found that educational factors significantly affect attitudes towards environmental care. The results of this analysis can be used to support Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in increasing pro-environmental awareness and action and supporting sustainable development goals.

Abstract

Practicum is very important in science learning because it provides direct experience to students so that students can understand the context of natural phenomena through direct observation. This research aims to evaluate and improve the design of laboratory activities (DKL) in fruit DNA isolation practicum. This research uses a qualitative descriptive analysis design. The sampling method used was purposive sampling, namely by analyzing the DKL contained in Biology textbooks. The instrument used is an instrument development based on the Vee diagram principle. The results of the analysis show that DKL has a fairly good quality level, namely reaching a percentage of 72%, but still requires several adjustments in the form of reconstruction. The reconstruction carried out included adding verbs to learning objectives, replacing and adding equipment specifications, using standard units in measuring materials, restructuring procedures, adding units to observation tables, and data transformation using graphics. It is hoped that the results of the DKL reconstruction can provide more effective and relevant guidance for students and contribute to efforts to improve the quality of practical learning in the context of DNA isolation.
