Abstract

The right learning model helps student mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning to improve. The knisley mathematics learning model is one model that can be used as a reference because the learning process is based on experience. Thus, the purpose of this study is to examine the achievement and improvement of students’ mathematical communication skills who get the Knisley Mathematics Learning Model better than students who get conventional learning. The research method used is the experimental method. The population in this study were all students of VIII grade at one of the junior high schools in East Karawang, while the sample was taken from two classes randomly using cluster random sampling, obtained by VIII K class as the experimental class and VIII A class as the control class. The design in this study used a pretest-posttest control group design with a quantitative approach. The data were processed using Microsoft Excel 2007 software and SPSS software version 21 for windows. The data analysis in this used the normality test, homogeneity test, two-mean difference test, and n-gain data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the achievement of mathematical communication skills of students who get the Knisley Mathematics Learning Model is better than students who get conventional learning, as well as the increase in mathematical communication skills of students who get the Knisley Mathematics Learning Model is higher than students who get conventional learning. This means that the Knisley Mathematics Learning Model is effective in achieving and improving junior high school students’ mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe students' understanding of the objects studied in group theory, namely objects that have meaning in a context and objects that have no meaning. Understanding objects in group theory is very important because it is an initial requirement for further study of group theory. This research is qualitative research. The subjects in this research were two students in the fourth semester of the Mathematics Education Study Program, FKIP UNS. Data was obtained from observations in lectures, lecture notes and written test results. The results of the research show that students' understanding of mathematical objects that have meaning in a context and those that do not have meaning tends to be relational understanding. Subjects can determine the outcome of a problem and can also explain the reasons for the answer. This can be seen from what students do, namely: (i). Mention one member of the set to show that the set is non-empty with an illustration, (ii). Claiming one of the members of the set is an and testing it using the definition of an identity element, (iii). Examining one by one or any member of the set and claiming the inverse element by testing it using the inverse definition

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' analytical thinking skills in learning mathematics on fraction operations. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Ponelo Kepulauan which involved 26 students. This data collection technique is in the form of essay tests and interviews totaling 8 questions. To measure students' ability to think analytically, 3 indicators are used, namely: 1) Differentiating, 2) Organizing, and 3) Connecting. The results of this study indicate that students' analytical thinking skills in learning mathematics for class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Ponelo Kepulauan are still in the moderate category because they reach a percentage of. Furthermore, the results for each indicator also belong to the medium category because it achieves a presentation of 61.54% respectively; 53.85%; 65.38%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang pengembangan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis android dengan kearifan lokal Gorontalo. Penelitian didasarkan pada keprihatinan terhadap masih rendahnya minat belajar matematika peserta didik terutama di Gorontalo. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis android yang berbeda dan belum dikembangkan oleh peneliti lain yaitu mengunakan kearifan lokal Gorontalo pada desain dan soal latihannya. Metode penelitian yang digunkan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model DDD-E yang terdiri dari decide, design, develop, dan evaluate. Hasilnya media pembelajaran matematika berbasis android dengan kearifan local Gorontalo dikembagkan dengan model DDD-E memenuhi kriteria valid dengan skor rata-rata 3,88, praktis dengan skor rata-rata 3,79 dan efektif dengan 86,66% siswa mendapatkan nilai tes minimal 70.

Abstract

This study examines cognitive error patterns in students’ linear programming (LP) formulations using a hierarchical Bayesian approach tailored for small-sample contexts. The research was conducted in the Mathematics Education program at Universitas Pekalongan, involving 12 undergraduate students who completed a structured LP problem-solving task. Errors were categorized into five theoretically grounded types: constraint omission, objective misidentification, sign reversal, variable mislabeling, and infeasibility misjudgment. A Bayesian hierarchical multinomial logistic model was employed to capture individual differences and group-level error structures, using weakly informative priors and Hamiltonian Monte Carlo sampling (30,000 iterations). Posterior estimates indicated dominant error trends in constraint omission and sign reversal among participants, with between-student variability accounting for 43% of the total variance. Posterior predictive checks and leave-one-out cross-validation confirmed model adequacy. These findings illustrate the diagnostic value of Bayesian modeling in identifying systematic misconceptions in LP learning, even with limited data, and provide actionable insights for personalized instructional support in mathematical problem-solving contexts

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan literasi numerasi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita aljabar. di SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Gamping Kabupaten Bantul Kelas VII. Metode yang dipakai pada penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ialah siswa kelas VII A di SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Gamping Kabupaten Bantul. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis yang dipakai yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa dengan nilai tes kemampuan literasi numerasi tertinggi dapat memenuhi 3 indikator, lalu siswa dengan nilai tes kemampuan literasi numerasi kategori sedang dapat memenuhi 2 indikator, sedangkan siswa dengan nilai tes kemampuan literasi numerasi terendah hanya memenuhi 1 indikator saja.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran audio visual berbasis edpuzzle untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang ditinjau berdasarkan validasi dan kepraktisan. Validasi diketahui berdasarkan pada penilaian validasi ahli materi dan ahli media, sedangkan kepraktisan berdasarkan nilai angket respon peserta didik. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah 2 validator ahli diantaranya : validator ahli materi dan validator ahli media dan subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII-E sebagai sampelnya. uji coba produk ini dilakukan pada skala kecil yaitu 10 peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (R & D) dengan model ADDIE. Penelitian ini hanya menggunakan empat tahapan dari model ADDIE yaitu analyze (analisis), design (desain), development (pengembangan) dan implementation (implementasi). Hasil validasi ahli materi dan ahli media memperoleh skor total 185 dengan presentase 84% dan termasuk kedalam kategori “sangat layak” dan angket respon peserta didik mendapatkan presentase nilai sebesar 77% termasuk kriteria “respon baik”. Berdasarkan validasi dan kepraktisan media pembelajaran audio visual berbasis edpuzzle dikatakan layak untuk digunakanAbstrak Bahasa Indonesia ditulis sesuai dengan format abstrak bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the formative test items for the Mathematical Logic and Sets course in the Digital Innovation Program of the Mathematics Education Study Program, FKIP UAD in terms of classical test theory. This research is descriptive research. The analysis was carried out on 20 multiple choice test items which were tested on 51 students. The analysis was carried out on the difficulty and discrimination index and reliability with the help of the ITEMAN (Item and Test Analysis) package program. The results of the analysis of the difficulty index showed that of the 20 items, there were 6 items that were difficult and 14 items that were moderate. In terms of discrimination, 18 items had good discrimination index and only 2 items had poor discrimination index. One of the causes of low discrimination index is caused by items that are too difficult. From these results, further revisions were made to the items that did not meet the good criteria. Reliability estimation using the Cronbach Alpha formula shows that the measurement results obtained through this test are reliable.

Abstract

Abstrak Bahasa Indonesia ditulis sesuai dengan format abstrak bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran flipbook dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi matriks kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sabak Auh yang layak digunakan atau sudah teruji kevalidan dan kepraktisannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah model penelitian Research and Development (R&D) yang dikemukakan oleh Sugiono dan sudah dimodifikasi sesuai dengan keperluan peneliti, yaitu: potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba produk, dan produk akhir. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data pada penelitian ini yaitu lembar validasi, lembar angket respon guru, dan lembar angket respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran flipbook dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang dikembangkan memiliki validasi nilai persentase 83,33 dengan kriteria cukup valid, dan nilai kepraktisan yang diperoleh dari angket respon guru yakni dengan nilai persentase 90,0  dengan kriteria sangat praktis, serta angket respon peserta didik dengan nilai persentase 87,39 dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Dengan demikian hasil penelitian pengembangan media pembelajaran flipbook dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi matriks kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sabak Auh dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran layak digunakan atau sudah teruji kevalidan dan kepraktisannya.Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Flipbook, Problem Based Learning
