Abstract

Statistics is an important subject for students in many different branches of study, including STAI Ki Ageng Pekalongan. However, many students have trouble studying statistics. This study seeks to determine the factors that contribute to problems in studying statistics at STAI Ki Ageng Pekalongan. This study employs a descriptive method combined with a quantitative approach. Data was acquired through a poll of 21 STAI Ki Ageng Pekalongan students attending statistics courses. Data were examined via descriptive statistics. The findings of this study reveal that various factors cause difficulty in studying statistics at STAI Ki Ageng Pekalongan, including 1) lack of comprehension of basic mathematical ideas, 2) difficulties comprehending statistical formulae, and calculations, 3) lack of practice with statistical issues, and 4) poor drive to learn.

Abstract

This research aims to see the influence of the Ethno-RME approach on mathematical problem solving skill as seen in the results of tests on mathematical problem solving skill of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota. The research was conducted to determine the differences in the mathematical problem solving abilities of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota who applied the Ethno-RME approach and the mathematical problem solving skill of students who applied conventional learning. This type of research is experimental research, with a Simple Random Sampling sampling technique. The population in this study were students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang City for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research subjects consisted of class VIIIA, totaling 22 people and VIIIB, totaling 22 people. The data analysis technique used is the Independent Sample T-Test and the N-Gain test with the help of SPSS 29. Based on the N-Gain Score Test for the experimental class with the Ethno-RME approach, it is 61%, including in the quite effective category, it can be concluded that the use of the approach Ethno-RME is quite effective in improving students' mathematical problem solving skill.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low mathematical communication skills seen in the learning outcomes of class VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota. This research aims to find out whether the mathematical communication abilities of class VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota who apply the Ethno-RME Approach are better than the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who apply conventional learning. This type of research is experimental research, with a Simple Random Sampling sampling technique. The population in this study were class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research subjects consisted of class VIIB, totaling 24 people and VIIC, totaling 24 people. The data analysis technique used is the T test and N gain test with the help of SPSS 26. Based on the N-Gain Score test for the experimental class with the Ethno-RME approach which is 63%, which is in the quite effective category, it can be concluded that the use of the Ethno-RME approach is sufficient effective for improving students' mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low ability to understand mathematical concepts of class VII students at SMPN 2 Kabun. One solution to overcome this problem is to use an ethnomathematics-based RME approach. The aim of this research is to determine the difference in the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who apply the ethnomathematics-based RME approach and students who apply conventional learning. This research is an experiment using a quasi experimental design. The research subjects consisted of class VII D, totaling 27 students and VII B, totaling 26 students. The sampling technique used is random sampling. The data collection techniques used were observation sheets and test questions on the ability to understand mathematical concepts. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average test results for students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in the experimental class using the ethnomathematics-based RME approach and the control class which applies conventional learning for class VII students at SMPN 2 Kabun. This can be proven through the Independent Sample T-Test, obtaining a sig(2-tailed) value of 0.007 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to analyze the mathematics learning independence of Islamic boarding school students during the Covid-19 pandemic. The sample in this study was 40 Al Imdad Bantul Islamic Boarding School students who were randomly selected. Data collection uses questionnaires and interviews. This type of research is qualitative research and is descriptive. The results of this research show that the level of independence in students' mathematics learning at the Al Imdad Islamic Boarding School during the Covid 19 pandemic has a level of independence in six indicators of students' learning independence, namely students have 82.5% self-confidence, 67.25% students are able to work alone, students are able to appreciate time 77.5%, students have a responsible nature 79.38%, students desire to compete to advance 74.22%, and students are able to make decisions 72.88%. Researchers concluded that students at the Al Imdad Islamic Boarding School did not have low levels of independence in learning mathematics.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve mathematics learning outcomes literacy and numeracy skills by using a realistic mathematics education (RME) approach, especially trigonometry comparison material of SMA Muhammadiyah Imogiri. Students of grade X E1 SMA Muhammadiyah Imogiri are the main objects involved in this research. This RME approach model is used as a strategy to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills about trigonometric comparison material. The results of this study show that applying the RME approach is very effective because students are able to apply contextual problems related to trigonometric comparisons and are able to develop their own discipline and mutual cooperation attitudes, the significance of mastering students' literacy and numeracy skills in applying and solving contextual problems in trigonometric comparisons. Based on a sample of 24 students of grade X E1, it is proven that more than 80% of students are complete and able to apply contextual problems in trigonometric comparisons, while less than 15% of students are incomplete and unable to apply contextual problems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penemuan masalah yang menjadikan kurang optimalnya proses pembelajaran matematika di sekolah, salah satunya belum optimalnya kemampuan berpikir refleksi matematis peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan pembelajaran. Untuk itu perlu dilakukannya penelitian terkait permasalahan ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan berpikir refleksi matematis siswa kelas VII MTSN 1 Kampar Kecamatan Kuok. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode penelitian metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil tes kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa ditemukan bahwa kelas unggul rata-rata memiliki kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis yang lebih baik daripada siswa reguler lainnya. Dalam menyelesaikan soal kemampuan berpikir reflektif siswa berkatogeri tinggi di kelas unggul mampu menjawab soal dengan baik dan mencapai nilai yang sempurna. Sedangkan di kelas reguler siswa yang berkategori tinggi belum mampu menjawab soal kemampuan berpikir reflektif secara keseluruhan sehingga tidak mencapai nilai sempurna.

Abstract

Penelitianl ini bertujuanl untuk menghasilkan bahan ajarl berupa LKS berbasis RME yang valid, praktis dan lefektif pada materi lingkaran untuk siswa MTs Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Bangkinangl Kota dan mengetahui penggunaan LKS tersebut dapat memberikan efek potensial terhadap pembelajaran yang bermakna bagil siswa. Metodel yang digunakan yaitu metode pengembangan dengan model Plomp denganl tahap analisis pendahuluan, tahapl pengembangan, dan tahap penilaian. Subjek penelitian ini adalah lsiswa kelas l8 MTs Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Bangkinangl Kota. lMetode pengumpulan data yangl digunakan adalahl angket, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini lyaitu mendapatkan sebuah LKS berbasis RME materi lingkaran yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Kevalidan LKS berdasarkan materi, media, dan bahasa. Berdasarlkan materi lLKS yang dikembangkan telah sesuail dengan karakteristik lRME. Berdasarkanl media LKS sudah tersusun denganl baik. Sedangkan berdasarkan lbahasa, LKSl telah menggunakan bahasa yang lbaik dan benar ldimana tidak lada siswal yang salahl pengertian dan mempunyai penafsiranl ganda ketika membacanya. Kepraktisan dan lkevalidan LKS tampak dari lsiswa dapatl menggunakan LKS tersebut denganl baik.

Abstract

Mutu pendidikan sekolah sangat ditentukan oleh mutu kegiatan belajar mengajar. Salah satu faktor penting yang dapat menentukan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas adalah penerapan model pembelajaran di suatu sekolah. Namun kenyataannya proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru masih belum berjalan secara maksimal khususnya pada mata pelajaran matematika, Hal ini ditemukan melalui penelitian yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIIIA SMP Negeri 1 Galis terdapat siswa yang mempelajari teorema phytagoras seringkali kesulitan memahami hubungan sisi miring (hipotenusa) dan dua sudut siku-siku, sehingga siswa cenderung menghafal rumus pythagoras. Maka dari itu, pemahaman konsep matematika siswa membutuhkan perbaikan dan peningkatan oleh guru melalui penerapan model pembelajaran koopertif dengan bantuan media aplikasi quizwhizzer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan upaya peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran koopertif dengan bantuan media aplikasi quizwhizzer pada materi teorema phytagoras. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Dengan Metode penelitian adalah quasi-experimental two groub posttest only. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengamatan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran diperoleh skor rata-rata 3,384 berada dalam kategori baik, pengamatan aktivitas siswa diperoleh aktivitas siswa dalam kategori aktif, respon siswa menunjukka bahwa 95,45% siswa merespon positif, dan hasil posttest pada kedua kelas tersebut adalah berdistribusi normal karena masing-masing kelas kontrol dan kelas eskperimen memiliki nilai sig dan . Kemudian kedua data tersebut memiliki varians yang homogen, hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil uji homogenitas menggunakan Microsoft Exel 2010 diperoleh nilai 0,235908 0,479803. Artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII setelah diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional dan kooperatif berbantuan quizwhizzer. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan bantuan media aplikasi quizwhizzer pada materi teorema phytagoras, dikatakan efektif karena mencapai 4 indikator yaitu : Kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran efektif, aktvitas siswa yang dilakkan efektif, respon siswa menyatakan positif dan ketuntasan hasil posttest siswa.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students' low understanding of concepts. Based on the results of observations and interviews, it was found that there was a lack of variety in learning models and media as well as students' low comprehension and memory. This research aims to determine the influence of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model assisted by PUBBADAR media on the understanding of mathematical concepts of fifth grade students at SD 1 Getas Pejaten. The research population was all 38 class V students. This research is in the form of quantitative research using an experimental method, namely Pre-Experimental in the form of One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Data analysis took the form of a normality test and hypothesis test (Paired Sample T-Test) using the SPSS application. The normality test results produce a sig value. pretest reached 0.811 while the sig. posttest reached 0.349 which shows that the sig. pretest > 0.05 and sig value. posttest > 0.05. It can be said that the pretest posttest data is normally distributed. The results of the paired sample t-test show that there is a difference in the average pretest score, namely 57.92 and posttest 80.52. Meanwhile, the results of the paired sample t-test are 0.000 or 0.000 < 0.05. It can be said that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that the application of the TGT model assisted by PUBBADAR media has an effect on the conceptual understanding of class V students at SD 1 Getas Pejaten.
