Abstract

Fort Wuna as evidence of the residential separation of the Muna noble class shows that the social stratification system still applies in Muna even though many people still have middle to lower economic conditions. This research aims to find out what challenges are faced by the Muna noble class in the modern era with middle to lower economic conditions. The theory used in this research is Everyday Form of Resistance by James C. Scott. By using ethnographic methods, it was found that the Muna aristocrats who are in the middle to lower economic conditions must always maintain traditions by performing life cycle rituals that require a lot of money. The tactics used in overcoming these problems are by way of donations from relatives and superimposing their children in the procession of life cycle rituals carried out by other noble families.

Abstract

Post-pandemic economic recovery focuses on developing the tourism sector through revitalizing tourist objects and developing tourism-based MSMEs. This can be seen by the proliferation of MSMEs by sharing superior products. On the one hand, tourism development has a positive impact by increasing regional income, especially through foreign tourist visits. But on the other hand this policy can have a negative impact on the preservation of regional languages. Therefore tourism development policies must be balanced with regional language maintenance policies. This problem can be overcome with policies to use regional languages or local terms as tourism product brands. The use of local brands for tourism products can be a means of maintaining local languages. This study aims to analyze various languages or local terms used by tourism business actors in various tourism products as a form of language conservation. The use of qualitative descriptive methods with observation, interviews and documentation techniques to identify various tourism products that use local terms as brands, brands or labels in their marketing. In addition, the background and meaning of the various local terms are also traced to obtain comprehensive data. From several districts and cities in North Maluku, many business actors and tourism managers choose to use local terms as brands or product brands because of the philosophy or story telling in these local terms.

Abstract

Technological progress is developing rapidly in various sectors, one of which is the financial sector, commonly known as financial technology (fintech). We expect financial technology, an innovation from the financial industry, to solve various financial service problems. One form of financial transaction in financial technology services is online peer-to-peer lending or online loans. Users of online loan services increase every year because of the speed and convenience offered compared to conventional online loans, including those explicitly provided for BRI customers, namely Ceria. This research aims to identify the factors, particularly cultural and social ones, that motivate individuals to use Ceria BRI online loans. The study employs a qualitative approach, gathering data through interviews, observation, and literature review. The results of this study explain that people use online loans for urgent needs and lifestyle fulfillment. Social and cultural factors also significantly influence the use of online loans among Jakarta's residents.
