Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines efforts to inculcate Asthabrata values as local wisdom to strengthen leadership attitudes in learning. The objectives of this study are 1) to describe the Astabrata values as local wisdom 2) to describe the efforts to inculcate Asthabrata values to strengthen leadership attitudes in history learning. The methodology used in this study is a literature study. Based on the literature study, the authors found that in Asthabrata's values as Javanese local wisdom, there are eight characteristics that must be possessed by a leader. These eight attributes are based on the disposition of the Eight gods, namely Indra, Yama, Surya, Candra, Bhayu, Kuwera, Baruna and Agni. For the Javanese people, these Asthabrata values have been applied since a long time ago, especially when the kingdoms were still standing in the archipelago. Therefore, it would be better if these values are applied in the present. Attitude strengthening efforts can be integrated through Asthabrata values by utilizing historical learning. So, efforts to instill Asthabrata values as local wisdom can be used to strengthen leadership attitudes in students.

Abstract

The existence of a leader is related to the aspects of role models, protection, and decision making. Leaders stand at the forefront of creating the realization of community welfare. The public's initial perception of the figure who is believed to be an ideal leader is often broken by the pattern of policies taken after the election of the figure as a leader. This also applies at the village to provincial levels of government. This social portrait is quite risky because it saves a latent danger in the form of people's disappointment with the leader. Writing this article aims to (1) describe the ideal leader figure coveted by the community and (2) explain the importance of leadership aspects that are able to answer the challenges of the times. This writing is done in descriptive analytical with literature study. The results were obtained: (1) There are aspects that are missed consistently in the community, such as integrity, fairness, and responsibility. The characteristics of positive leaders are able to create public optimism in looking at the future. (2) Leadership based on the foundation of virtuous character is needed in dealing with the dynamics of a rapidly changing era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the struggle of General Sudirman in the Gerilya War to foster  character education in high school students. The Gerilya War, which became the strategy of the  Indonesian struggle led by General Sudirman, had a leadership concept to emulate together.  For the freedom fighters of the Republic of Indonesia, Sudirman was not only a commander, but  also a symbol of resistance to colonialism. He is also known as a wise open-minded leader and  can always find a solution to every problem he faces. Through a literature study approach, this  research tries to explain the concept of leadership that exists in the figure of General Sudirman  with the character education of students in high school. Based on the results of the analysis that  the Gerilya War Struggle led by General Sudirman has heroic values, both from his biography  and leadership character from gerilya warfare. This leadership character must exist in the next  generation, especially for high school students. It is hoped that the next generation will have an  unyielding, courageous, optimistic spirit in facing the challenges of world globalization, so it is  necessary to instill a tough character that comes from the leadership of General Sudirman in  liberating the State of Indonesia.
