Abstract

This study aims to describe students' ability to identify factual texts in the Medan Tribune newspaper published in May 9, 11, 13, 22 2022 with the theme of Honda or two-wheeled vehicles. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive method. This research is said to be quantitative because the data taken will be changed in the form of numbers, namely student scores in determining or distinguishing facts and opinions in the Medan Tribune newspaper. The number of samples taken by the researchers were 36 students from class X TP1. In this study, the instrument used was a written test, namely an essay test to determine facts and opinions. The data found and collected were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistical techniques with percentages. The percentage obtained then refers to the criteria for student learning completeness which are determined individually and classically. Students are said to have completed individual learning if students get a score or achieve a minimum ability of 75%, while complete classical learning if the number of students who individually get a percentage of 75% reaches 80% or more of the total sample. The ability to identify facts and opinions from the Medan Tribune newspaper by class X students of SMK Negeri 2 Medan is categorized as classically capable. It is said to be able because the number of students who achieved individual ability 75% reached 80.55% and did not reach the classical completeness criteria, namely 19.44% because they were capable of 75%.

Abstract

This research aims to describe morphological interference and the factors that cause morphological interference. The subject in this research is a speech communties in Rajekwesi Street RT 02 RW 07 Mojokerto City. This research approach is theoritical and metodological approach. Theoritical approach are using in this research is a sociolinguistic, while method in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data obtain from listening and note technique on data card. Analysis data in this research is a matching method. The result in this research consist of Javanese morphological interference which form (a) prefix n-, m-, ny-, nge-, and ke-, (b) infix -em-, and -er-,(c) sufix -en, -an, -ne, and -no, (d) confix n – i, diper – no, ke – an, ng – no, nge – i, and di – no. There are two factors that cause morphological interference in this study, the loss of morphemes and the bilingualism of the speech participants.

Abstract

The research was carried out using Classroom Action Research (PTK) which used two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings. The research subjects were 25 students in class VIII C of Jagakarsa Middle School. The variable revealed in the research is Discussion Skills Through the Two Stay Two Stray Technique Learning Model. Data collection techniques use test instruments and non-test instruments in the form of observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results of the research show an increase in poetry writing discussion skills using the Two Stay Two Stray technique learning model in class VIII C of Jagakarsa Middle School. The percentage of students' completion in writing poetry in the pre-cycle reached 28% and was still less than the set standard for completion, namely 75%. The percentage of completion in cycle I reached 48%. This is also still less than the specified completion limit. In cycle II the percentage of completion reached 80% and had met the specified completion limit.

Abstract

This study aims to describe language errors at the semantic level and the use of code mixing contained in Tomohiro Yamashita's Instagram account @tomoyama32. This study uses a qualitative approach to descriptive data analysis. The source of the data in this study was obtained from Tomohiro Yamashita's Instagram social media account in several posts uploaded since March 3, 2020. The data collection of this research was using the listening and recording technique and documenting it in the form of screenshots. Researchers use content analysis to simplify the process of data analysis. The most common semantic language errors found were symptoms of diction selection, namely 50 error symptoms with an error percentage of 37.9%. Hypercorrection symptoms were found to be 49 error symptoms with a percentage of 37.1%. The semantic error of pleonasm symptoms found 30 error symptoms with a percentage of 22.8%. The semantic error of ambiguity symptoms contained in the caption of Tomohiro Yamashita @tomoyama32 is only 3 error symptoms with a percentage of 2.2%. The use of code mixing found with the most common word forms was found in 32 forms with a percentage of 44.4%, phrase elements in 31 forms with a percentage of 43.1%, baster elements in 8 forms with a percentage of 11.1%, clause elements in 1 form with percentage of 1.4%. The form of mixed code elements of reduplication and idioms is not found in the 40 caption data uploaded by Tomohiro so the percentage is 0%.

Abstract

Important to pay attention to the cognitive level contained in the questions in class X Indonesian textbooks published by the Ministry of Education and Research and Technology so that success in learning can be measured. This study uses a qualitative method with a content analysis approach. The purpose of this study is to describe the items contained in Indonesian language textbooks for class X published by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The theory used is cognitive level based on Anderson and Krathwohl's taxonomy. Cognitive levels based on Anderson and Krathwohl's taxonomy are divided into six classifications, namely remembering (C1), understanding (C2), applying (C3), applying (C4), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6). The results in this study were that the level of questions most commonly found in class X Indonesian textbooks was the applying level (C4) which was 27.43% and the least applying (C3) was 3.98%.

Abstract

The focus of the problem in this study is the analysis of language errors at the morphological level in the June 17, 2023 edition of the Tribun Medan newspaper. The purpose of this study is to describe the analysis of language errors in the field of morphology in the Tribun Medan newspaper. This research method is qualitative research using a descriptive type. The data collection technique used is to read repeatedly the Tribun Medan newspaper, code any errors in the field of morphology, and record language errors in the field of morphology. This research method is qualitative research using a descriptive type. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it can be concluded that there are errors at the morphological level consisting of 10 data which include: errors in the use of words in the abbreviation of morph me-, word formation with confixes di -...-kan, word writing/placement of wrong letter writing.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the utilization of Linktree application in learning Indonesian Language Observation Report Text in class X MPLB SMK Negeri 7 Medan. The research method used is a case study with the research subjects of class X MPLB students. The research was conducted by observing the use of Linktree in facilitating access to information and learning materials. The results showed that the utilization of Linktree application can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of learning for students of class X MPLB SMK Negeri 7 Medan. With Linktree, students can easily access various sources of information, references, and links related to lessons provided by the teacher. In addition, the use of Linktree also makes it easier for students to organize and manage learning materials in a structured manner. In the growing context of distance learning, the utilization of Linktree application makes a positive contribution in facilitating the learning process of X MPLB students of SMK Negeri 7 Medan. However, an in-depth understanding of how to use Linktree optimally is needed so that its benefits can be optimized in the context of learning for X MPLB students of SMK Negeri 7 Medan. This research is expected to provide new insights into the application of technology in education and provide recommendations for further development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk wacana persuasif dalam takarir unggahan akun Instagram resmi Nadiem Makarim @nadiemmakarim. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah takarir unggahan akun Instagram resmi Nadiem Makarim @nadiemmakarim dalam durasi waktu satu bulan mulai 16 September s.d. 16 Oktober tahun 2022. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simak dan catat. Teknik dan analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis deskriptif interaktif. Teknik ini memiliki 4 komponen, yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 5 wacana persuasif yang dilihat dari sudut panjang tujuannya. Memberikan informasi (to inform) sebanyak 6 data, menimbulkan inspirasi (to inspire) sebanyak 6 data, meyakinkan (to convise) sebanyak 5 data, menghibur atau menyenangkan (to entertain) sebanyak 3 data, dan menggerakkan atau mengarahkan (to ectuate) sebanyak 8 data.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan jiwa sosial siswa Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) Gendis di Kelurahan Sari Rejo melalui cerita jenaka. Fokus utama penelitian ini untuk mengatasi berbagai masalah sosial yang dihadapi anak berusia enam tahun, seperti tidak mengakui kesalahan, kurangnya sifat berbagi, dan kebiasaan mengejek teman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, yaitu tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini 15 siswa PAUD Gendis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan cerita jenaka dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan jiwa sosial siswa. Pada siklus pertama, terlihat adanya peningkatan interaksi positif antar siswa, seperti saling membantu dan berbagi. Namun, masih terdapat beberapa siswa yang kurang responsif terhadap cerita jenaka. Pada siklus kedua, setelah dilakukan perbaikan dalam teknik penyampaian cerita dan melibatkan siswa lebih aktif, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam perilaku sosial siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the didactic values contained in the youth novel Whatever Apart from Rain by Orizuka. The source of the data in this study was the youth novel Whatever Apart from Rain by Orizuka which totaled 287 pages and was published by Gagas Media. The first print was published in 2016. This research method is a descriptive method using a qualitative approach. Instrument. This research was conducted with documentation guidelines. Data analysis techniques include reading youth novels, collecting data, underlining, describing, and concluding. The research data is in the form of didactic values: tolerance, sharing, helping others, empathy, honesty, the quality of good deeds, authenticity. The results of the research show that there are didactic values: tolerance, sharing, helping others, empathy, honesty, quality of good deeds, authenticity in youth novels Anything But Rain by Orizuka.
