Abstract

Companies must restructure the resources and capabilities to enhance performance. In a swiftly evolving competitive business environment, these resources and capabilities need to be effectively organized, integrated, and utilized. Consequently, companies should develop an entrepreneurial orientation as a strategy to guide entrepreneurial decisions and activities, focusing on how to leverage resources to convert innovation capabilities into performance. This research investigated the impact of entrepreneurial orientation on innovation capability and firm performance. This study focused on SMEs in Bali, Indonesia, with a sample size of 396. Data were gathered from managers of these SMEs, who served as the research respondents. An online questionnaire was administered through Google Forms and sent via email, resulting in 168 valid responses. Data analysis was performed using SEM PLS, with WarpsPLS 7.0 software. The results indicated a significant impact of entrepreneurial orientation on innovation capability and firm performance. Additionally, innovation capability positively and significantly influenced firm performance. The study also revealed that innovation capability mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and firm performance. When discussing innovation capabilities, refer to the routine actions involved in configuring capabilities and resources. Enhancing performance requires more than merely altering these capabilities and resources. Entrepreneurial orientation must play a crucial role in intensifying a company's innovation capabilities, which are essential for transforming into firm performance

Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the impact of scarcity messages, live commerce, and competitive arousal on impulse buying behavior. Unlike previous research that focused on consumer attitudes in traditional retail environments, this study explores the role of e-commerce applications in shaping consumer spending patterns under conditions of limited product availability and time constraints. Furthermore, it examines consumer interactions with sellers during live commerce sessions. This research employs a quantitative methodology, specifically utilizing hypothesis testing. The target population comprises residents of Kupang City who have engaged in purchases through e-commerce applications that feature live commerce sessions with restrictions on product availability and time (commonly referred to as flash sales). The sample size for this study consists of 450 respondents, selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection methods include both primary and secondary sources. Primary data is gathered through the distribution of questionnaires via Google Forms, while secondary data is obtained through literature reviews of relevant books and research studies. Additionally, observational data is collected from e-commerce platforms that conduct sales events. The data analysis is conducted using quantitative techniques, specifically employing the SEM-PLS analysis tool. The findings indicate that both scarcity messages and live commerce significantly influence impulse buying through competitive arousal; however, the effect of each variable is relatively modest. These results offer valuable insights for e-commerce messages and live streaming sessions on consumer impulsive behavior, businesses can develop more effective marketing strategies, such as leveraging flash sales or highlighting limitations in product availability and time.

Abstract

Investment in cryptocurrency offers high potential returns but is also accompanied by significant risks due to substantial price fluctuations. The volatile nature of crypto assets makes them a subject of intense interest and caution among investors. Before engaging in transactions, investors typically evaluate the potential risks and returns they may obtain, balancing the allure of high profits against the possibility of significant losses. Therefore, investors' intention to invest in crypto assets is based on these two factors: return expectations and risk perception. This study employs multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS software to examine the relationship between these variables. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, with a sample size determined to be between 45 and 90 respondents to ensure statistical validity. The questionnaire was distributed online to the crypto asset investor community in Indonesia, and respondents provided answers using a Likert scale from 1 (Strongly Disagree) to 5 (Strongly Agree). The data analysis reveals that return expectations have a positive and significant effect on investment interest in crypto assets. Additionally, risk perception also has a positive and significant effect on investment interest in crypto assets, indicating that even perceived risks do not deter investment interest, possibly due to the high return potential. Furthermore, return expectations and risk perception simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on investment interest in crypto assets, suggesting that both factors jointly influence investment intentions. These findings provide valuable insights for investors and market participants in understanding the factors influencing investment decisions in cryptocurrency, highlighting the importance of managing both expected returns and perceived risks in investment strategies.

Abstract

This study develops a Workplace Learning (WPL) model based on the Indonesian Qualification Framework (IQF) to enhance workforce competitiveness in Indonesia’s industrial sector. Addressing the existing competency gap between workforce skills and industry demands, this research integrates formal, informal, and experience-based learning approaches. Using grounded theory, data were collected from state-owned fertilizer companies, including annual reports and HR policy documents. The findings reveal that a combination of structured training, mentoring, on-the-job training, job rotation, and industry practice significantly boosts workforce competencies. Certification processes and managerial support, including career planning and competency-based recruitment, emerge as critical elements in aligning learning programs with industry needs. The developed model not only adheres to national standards but also aligns with global demands, fostering innovation, employee engagement, and long-term competitiveness. This study provides practical insights for industries and governments to design sustainable human resource development strategies. The proposed model highlights the importance of integrating WPL with national qualification frameworks, ensuring workforce adaptability and productivity in facing rapid technological advancements. Companies can leverage this model to build a more resilient and agile workforce, while policymakers may use it to bridge skill gaps and drive economic growth. By aligning education, training, and industry practices, the study contributes to improving labor mobility and promoting equitable workforce development, ultimately positioning Indonesia’s industrial sector competitively in the global market.

Abstract

This study examines the moderating effect of entrepreneurial orientation values based on Catur Paramitha on the relationship between human capital and the performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Bali. This research is motivated by inconsistencies in empirical findings regarding the influence of human capital on SME performance, highlighting the need for integrating local perspectives into the research model. The respondents of this study consist of 300 formal-sector SMEs registered with the Department of Cooperatives and SMEs of Bali Province. Primary data, including both quantitative and qualitative types, were analyzed using a structural model approach with Partial Least Square (PLS). The findings reveal that human capital significantly positively affects SME performance. Furthermore, entrepreneurial orientation values based on Catur Paramitha (encompassing the values of Maitri, Karuna, Mudita, and Upeksa) serve as a moderating variable that strengthens the relationship between human capital and SME performance. These findings not only reinforce the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory but also provide practical contributions. Implementing Catur Paramitha values can assist SMEs in becoming more humanistic, ethical, and collaborative organizations. By integrating these local values, Bali SMEs are expected to sustainably enhance their performance while preserving the uniqueness of their cultural heritage. This study also underscores the importance of local wisdom as a guiding principle for SMEs to operate ethically and with dignity, creating a competitive advantage in the global marketplace.
