Abstract

This study aims to explain the role of people in fostering the learning motivation of grade V students of MI NU 11 Karangayu Cepiring. This research is qualitative with a case study approach. Research data in the form of the role of parents in fostering student motivation with parent and student data sources. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. At the same time, data analysis is carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the role of parents in fostering children's learning motivation (students) included giving praise, giving attention, giving advice, giving gifts, giving punishments, and providing learning facilities. Thus, the character of children (students) to study becomes more active because they have a parent figure who can encourage and motivate them to be better.

Abstract

This study analyzes the expressive speech politeness of students and teachers at An-Nur Bululawang Vocational School, Malang Regency. This study aims to determine the form of expressive speech politeness and the function of students' expressive speech politeness toward teacher speech at school. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. This type of research is a type of pragmatic research. The data in this study are in the form of speech between students and teachers in expressive politeness at school. The data source for this research was in the form of recordings of students' and teachers' speeches, which were then transcribed in written form. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and recording techniques. Data analysis in this study used the Miles and Huberman interactive model in general, covering three stages, namely (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, and (3) data presentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) the forms of expressive speech between students and the teacher, namely declarative speech forms, imperative speech forms, and interrogative speech forms, and (2) the function of expressive speech politeness between students and teachers, namely the politeness function of expressive speech pleasure, thank you, apologize, complain, greet, praise, tease, and tease. The use of expressive politeness between students and teachers at school is used relevantly according to the context, and this expressive speech can help students convey emotional feelings to the teacher so that in the learning process, they easily achieve learning goals and can motivate students' development while at school.

Abstract

This study aims to the use of satirical language style in dakwah videos and its implications for the learning of the Indonesian language at school. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data analysis techniques. The data collection technique used in this study is the note-taking technique, namely observation, note-taking, and documentation. The research data was obtained from videos, preaching, and dialogue on the YouTube channel "Das'ad Latif." First, identify the style of satirical language used in the YouTube channel "Das'ad Latif." Second, noting the style of satirical language used in the YouTube channel “Das’ad Latif.” Third, analyze the results in depth to find accurate results. Fourth, enter the data into the analysis table. The da'wah video for the YouTube channel "Das'ad Latif" contains the use of satirical language styles, namely irony, cynicism, sarcasm, satire, and innuendo. The results of the research are 86 fragments of notes, which are the research subfocus. Irony was found in 14 passages, cynicism found in 24 passages, sarcasm found in 20 passages, satire found in 16 passages, and innuendo in 12 fragments in the period November and December 2022.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the cultivation of siri' cultural values in the formation of children's character in Lompo Riaja Village, Tanete Riaja District, Barru Regency, to describe and analyze the factors that support the cultivation of siri' cultural values in the formation of children's character in Lompo Riaja Village, Tanete Riaja District, Barru Regency. This type of research is qualitative research, whereas qualitative research is descriptive research. This research was in Lompo Riaja Village, Tanete Riaja District, Barru Regency. The choice of this research place was based on consideration because in Lompo Riaja Village, the culture of siri' has begun to fade. The research subjects were five parents and five children (sources or informants) who could provide information about problems related to the research to be carried out. The research instruments used were observation sheets, interview guidelines, and documentation. Data collection techniques were observation, interview, and documentation. The analysis techniques used in this research were data reduction, data presentation, conclusions, and verification. Based on the results of research conducted in Lompo Riaja Village, Tanete Riaja Subdistrict, Barru Regency, the results are based on the cultural value of honesty because honesty is one of the primary keys that is considered essential for parents, which will have a major impact on children's future lives. Through honesty, children can interact with their environment well, and good faith will be a guide in influencing the sea of life and leading children's lives in a better direction. The character of children based on siri' cultural values in Lompo Riaja Village, Tanete Riaja Sub-district, Barru Regency is inseparable from the various obstacles faced by parents, where environmental factors and technological developments are one of the main problems that can make children's character change following their surroundings.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial skills on the performance of SMEs in the food and beverage sector in Batu, East Java. The population in this study is food and beverage SMEs owners in the town of Batu, and the samples taken in this study are 50 respondents using non-probability sampling techniques with a purposive sampling method based on predetermined criteria. The first criterion is having more than five employees; the second criterion is the length of time the business has been running for over two years. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive and verification analysis. The data used in this research is primary data from questionnaires distributed and secondary data from websites, BPS, and journals. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis and Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) version 3.0 and SPSS version 22. This research found that the first and second hypotheses were accepted, where the entrepreneurial orientation variable had a positive and significant effect on SMEs performance, and entrepreneurial skills had a positive and significant impact on SMEs performance. The findings of this research can become a reference for business actors, academics, and the government in their relations regarding the performance of SMEs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the various forms of moral degradation in students' Manners behavior in Junior High School in Padang City, as well as the factors that influence it. This research uses a qualitative approach. The research sample was purposively selected with the consideration that the data source has relevant knowledge related to the phenomenon under study. The data collection techniques used included observation, interviews, and document analysis. Data validity was checked through triangulation of data sources. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The subjects in this study were junior high school students and teachers where this research took place. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The results of the study obtained conclusions, first, the forms of moral degradation of manners of junior high school students in Padang City, namely: Students do not respect teachers, Students say dirty words, Students interrupt other people's opinions, Do not ask permission to enter the classroom, Disturb other students when they are learning. Second, the degradation of moral manners of junior high school students in Padang City is influenced by two factors, namely Internal factors and factors from within the students themselves. External factors are school environment, family environment, community environment, and peers.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the implementation of authentic assessment in the "Kurikulum Merdeka" (independent curriculum) for the subject of Islamic cultural history at the Tsanawiyah madrasah level. The method used in this research uses qualitative research with a case study research design. This research was conducted at MAN 2 Banyuwangi with the observation, interview, and document study stages, supported by primary data using books, journal research, and relevant theories. The data collection techniques were interviews, documentation, observation, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique involved analyzing interactions through the steps of data collection, data reduction, and data presentation. This study's results indicate that the assessment implementation includes the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Assessment in the cognitive domain is in the form of written tests, oral tests, and assignments. Assessment in the affective domain is self-assessment and observation. Assessment in the psychomotor domain is in the form of assessment of performance, projects, products, and portfolios. Teachers faced obstacles in conducting authentic assessment activities, such as the complexity of instrument preparation, using numerous rubrics, too many points for each assessment, and limited time constraints.

Abstract

This article aims to explore Puritan ideology in modern Islamic boarding schools by using monotheism material by Shalih ibn Fauzan as teaching material and educational model. Analytical descriptive qualitative research method with research objects at three Khalafi/modern Islamic boarding schools, including the Darunna'im Modern Islamic Boarding School, LaTansa modern cottage, and Darel Azhar's modern cottage. Through document collection techniques, observation, and interviews. The analysis techniques include data reduction, data display, inference, and verification. The research results show that there is a Puritan ideology in Islamic boarding schools. There are at least three typologies of purification: (1) Islamic boarding schools in the Radical Puritan typology, (2) Islamic boarding schools with a modernist Puritan typology, and (3) adherents of accommodationism. Shalih ibn Fauzan's opinion regarding other assumptions regarding the Islamic boarding school typology in the Radical Puritan typology can be seen from the way Padang responds to several religious issues that exist in society. Modernist Puritans can be used as a reference in responding to developments and phenomena that occur in non-rigid societies. Meanwhile, the accommodationist Puritan group is more adaptable and adaptable in responding to various religious traditions. Tauhid education must be comprehensive, including tauhîd rubûbiyah, ulûhiyah, and asmâ' and shifât, because it will form a Muslim character who loves the science of Kauni as has been practiced in the three Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the urgency of developing Islamic educational institutions. This type of research is qualitative with a Library Research approach. The research data is in the form of data about the urgency of educational management, Islamic educational institutions from primary sources in educational form management books, Islamic educational institutional development books, and relevant journals. Data collection techniques were carried out using documentation studies. The researchers' data sources were obtained from books and journals about the urgency of educational management in Islamic educational institutions. Data analysis uses Content Analysis. Based on the research results, it was found that educational management has a very important urgency in developing educational institutions. The urgency of educational management in developing educational institutions includes Improving the Quality of Education, Resource Efficiency, Planning Strategy, Providing an Optimal Learning Environment, Human Resource Development, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement, which are called Educational Goals. Thus, educational management is a very important foundation in developing educational institutions so that they can provide quality, efficient education in line with the demands of the times. Thus, this conclusion shows that Islamic education management in developing educational institutions can make a positive contribution to creating better educational institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between academic supervision by the Headmaster in improving teacher performance and the relationship between managerial supervision by the Headmaster in increasing Headmaster competence. This research is a quantitative research using ex-post-fact research methods. The population of this study was Headmaster of vocational schools in East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency and supervisors. The sample collection technique used random sampling techniques. The samples used in the research were 20 headmasters and 20 vocational school supervisors in the East OKU district. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The data source uses primary data. Data analysis uses prerequisite test analysis and hypothesis testing using the product-moment correlation test. Based on the results of the data analysis, the results showed that there was a significant relationship between academic supervision by the Headmaster and teacher performance. This can be seen from the correlation coefficient of the two variables, namely 0.020. Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between managerial supervision by the supervisor and the competence of the Headmaster, which can be seen from the correlation coefficient of the two variables, namely 0.596. The relationship and link between supervisory supervision, Headmaster competence, Headmaster supervision, and teacher performance are very important in maintaining and improving the education quality in a school. Thus, healthy relationships and good links between supervisory supervision, Headmaster competence, Headmaster supervision, and teacher performance are very important to achieving better quality education in a school.
