KOLOKIUM: Jurnal Pendidikan Luar Sekolah was first published in April 2013 in printed and online form published since 30 April 2018 by Department of Non Formal Education, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Padang. KOLOKIUM: Jurnal Pendidikan Luar Sekolah equipped with ISSN (p): 2354-693X and ISSN (e): 2655-3163, published twice a year in April and October. KOLOKIUM: Jurnal Pendidikan Luar Sekolah education contains articles from research and/ or analytical-critical in the field non-formal education specifically edult education study, community education, training and development of human resources, counseling, and community development. The spesification purpose are intended to explore, develop and explain the knowladge of history, philosophy, principles, policies, designs, and technologies that are used and developed in non-formal education services. KOLOKIUM: Jurnal Pendidikan Luar Sekolah have a role and participates in efforts to support the preservation of scientific traditions derived from the theoretical study of researchers and the practical experience of education practitioners.

Abstract

Seribu Gonjong Tourist Village (SARUGO) which is located in Jorong Sungai Dadok, Nagari Koto Tinggi, Gunung Omeh District, Limapuluh Kota, West Sumatra is one of 50 villages that was named the best tourist village by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy. This achievement cannot be separated from the role of Pokdarwis in managing natural and cultural tourism. The Minangkabau social system, which is known to uphold a sense of togetherness, has an impact in developing programs for independence and improving the community's economy through community empowerment. Empowerment is defined as an effort to fulfill the desired needs of individuals, groups and communities, in controlling their environment so that they can fulfill their desires, including accessibility to resources related to their work and developing the potential of local resources. Based on the description above, this research has the objectives of (1) To analyze the role of the Community Empowerment-based Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) in developing natural tourism potential in Seribu Gonjong Tourism Village. The method used in this research is qualitative with a case study approach. The stages of this research method are (1) Preliminary study of the research location, (2) Collecting data and profile of the SARUGO tourist village, (3) Developing instruments, (4) Data collection, (5) Analysis of findings, (6) Triangulation data, (7) drawing conclusions, and (8) preparing articles

Abstract

In the world of education, it is categorized into two, namely education in schools and education outside of school. Out-of-school education or it can be said that non-formal education is education for the community, in this case, students who need educational services to complement the deficiencies of formal education. This research was conducted at Tridaya Tutoring with a quantitative research approach. This research method uses survey methods and correlation analysis to see the interrelationships of students' creative thinking and critical thinking variables based on cognitive stages, namely formal, transitional, and concrete thinking stages. The population of this study were class XII students at Bimbel Tridaya with a sample of 53 students. The research instrument used tests and questionnaires. Obtained pretest data showed that there was a difference in the average initial ability of students in the experimental class and control class in creative and critical thinking and the average posttest final ability of creative and critical thinking of experimental class students was better than the average control class. The improvement of students' creative and critical thinking skills in the experimental class was obtained better than that of the control class students. Learning outcomes with students' cognitive levels at the formal, transitional, and concrete stages have differences and do not have a significant influence on the development of student learning outcomes, but there is an association between students' creative and critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

The low knowledge and interest of the community to glance at the existence of Community Learning Centers (CLC) as non-formal educational institutions is often a problem for administrators to maintain the existence of non-formal education in the community. Therefore, it is necessary to assist in the management of non-formal educational institutions based on entrepreneurship and digital marketing as a self-branding effort for community learning center institutions. This activity was carried out by applying training and mentoring methods which were carried out in several stages, namely identification and survey, followed by socialization and implementation, the activity stage, and the last stage was evaluation. This activity was carried out at the Budi Utama Community Learning Center in Surabaya, and attended by managers of non-formal educational institutions throughout the city of Surabaya. The results obtained from this activity were seen through the performance of the speakers, target participants, participants' abilities after mentoring, and the implementation of post-coaching skills by the managers, and overall satisfactory results were obtained and the assisting participating institutions could implement the material well in managing their institutions. So, it can be concluded that this activity can be carried out as an effort to develop potential while increasing the income of CLC institutions so that institutions can experience financial development.

Abstract

This article discusses the perception of the deaf in using hearing aids. Based on observations, not all deaf people use hearing aids, even though they have experience using hearing aids. A descriptive quantitative approach was used to collect data, involving all members of the Deaf Organization in Padang. As a result, more than a few deaf people have a good perception of the use of hearing aids, they agree that hearing aids are very helpful for communicating and carrying out daily activities and believe hearing aids can help the development of deaf children if used early.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that there are still many training and education programs that still fail to identify the needs of the training participants themselves. This is indicated by the fact that many training participants are still unable to apply the results of the training after attending the training. Therefore, according to researchers, it is very suitable to carry out an assessment of needs-based training programs. Based on the type of training, namely needs-based training, before the training is carried out, a needs analysis must first be carried out so that the training program that will be implemented is in accordance with the needs of the training participants. The type of research is literature study research, with research techniques namely using literature review techniques on previous articles. The research results show that 1) based on the type of training program we can see that before carrying out training, it is necessary to first identify needs so that the training program to be implemented is in accordance with the needs of the community. 2) by identifying needs, the training can run as it should, and the results of the training also have benefits for the training participants.

Abstract

The background of this research is competency test results employee at PT Elnusa Petrofin Bungus Teluk Kabung Padang, this is suspected because of on-the-job training. This research aims to reveal the description of on-the-job training, employee competency test results, and see the relationship between on-the-job training and competency test results employee at PT Elnusa Petrofin Bungus Teluk Kabung Padang. This research uses a quantitative approach with types correlational research. The population in this study was 608 employees (tank car crew). A sampling technique uses random sampling. A sample was drawn from a population of 85 using the Slovin method. The data collection process uses questionnaires. Data analysis techniques use percentage formulas and product correlation formulas moments. The results of this research show that: (1) on-the-job training those carried out by employees ; (2) competency test results employees at PT Elnusa Petrofin Bungus Teluk Kabung Padang ; (3) there is a significant relationship between on-the-job training with the results of employee competency tests at PT Elnusa Petrofin Bungus Teluk Kabung Padang.

Abstract

Media sosial Instagram telah menjadi platform yang berpengaruh dalam pemasaran dan interaksi sosial di era digital. Artikel ini meneliti penggunaan akun Instagram @Sidoarjokuliner sebagai contoh sukses pemasaran kuliner di Sidoarjo. Data insight menunjukkan kekonsistenan dalam unggahan juga menjadi faktor kunci dalam mempertahankan dan meningkatkan pengikut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Visual, Copywriting, dan Public Speaking pada Akun Media Sosial Instagram @Sidoarjokuliner dalam Menarik Minat Beli Konsumen di Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Teknik sampling penelitian ini  menggunakan metode non-probability sampling yaitu purposive sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 100. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan menyebarkan kuesioner melalui media sosial menggunakan pengukuran skala Likert. Teknik Analisa data penelitian ini mengguanakan aplikasi SmartPLS (Smart Partial Least Square). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa visual tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan, sedangakan copywriting dan public speaking berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap minat beli konsumen di Sidoarjo.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the less than optimal use of learning media and the difficulty of students learning Japanese grammar at the Natsuka Gakkou Japanese Language Course Institute. The aim of this research is to determine the description and relationship between the use of the takoboto media application and the ability to memorize kanji at the Natsuka Gakkou Japanese Language Course Institute in Padang. This research uses a correlational quantitative approach. The population of this study was all 23 students of the Japanese language course Natsugakkou Padang who were studying kanji for level 1 and 2 classes. The sampling technique in this research was carried out using the target sampling method, so that the total sample that the researcher took was 80% of the population, namely 18 students at the Natsuka Gakkou Japanese Language Course Institute. The data collection technique in this research is a questionnaire. The data analysis method in this research is the Spearman rank correlation method. The results of this research are: 1.) The use of the takoboto application media at the Natsuka Gakkou Padang Japanese Language Course Institute is still relatively low, this is evident from the students who were respondents in this research more often answering disagree (KS). 2.) The ability to memorize kanji at the Natsuka Gakkou Japanese Language Course Institute in Padang, there are still many students who do remedial work because they do not reach the target kanji given. In the learning process, the measure of student success can be seen from their grades and 3.) 3. There is a significant relationship between the use of the takoboto application media and the ability to memorize kanji at the Natsuka Gakkou Japanese Language Course Institute in Padang. By proving rcount from rtable, the hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low discipline of scout members at SMP Negeri 3 Padang, which was thought to be due to interest. This research aims to see a picture of interest in taking part in extracurriculars, see a picture of the discipline of scout members, and see the relationship between interest in taking part in extracurriculars and the discipline of scout members at SMP Negeri 3 Padang. This type of research is quantitative correlational. The population of this study was 24 active scout members from SMP Negeri 3 Padang. The sampling technique in this research was carried out using the target sampling method, so that the total sample taken by the researchers was 19 people. The data collection technique in this research is a questionnaire. Meanwhile, the data analysis method in this research is the Spearman Rank correlation method. The results of this research indicate that members' interest in participating in scout extracurriculars and the discipline of scout members is low and there is a relationship between interest in participating in extracurricular activities and the discipline of scout members at SMP Negeri 3 Padang. It is recommended that coaches be more creative in developing programs for scout extracurricular activities so that members' interest and discipline increases. Suggestions for future researchers are to be able to identify other variables besides interest in participating in extracurricular activities that can have an influence on the discipline of scout members. Keywords: Scouting Interests, Disciplines, Extracurriculars.

Abstract

Agriculture is part of national economic development which is based on efforts to create a prosperous, just and prosperous Indonesian society as mandated in the 1945 Constitution. To improve the economy in the agricultural sector, one thing that can be done is to form a Women's Farmers Group (KWT). The existence of KWT shows that women can also be active in agricultural activities and there is no difference from men. The method used in this research is descriptive which describes the research results but does not produce broader conclusions. Data collection techniques were obtained from observations, interviews and documentation. The object of research in this research is the Women's Farmers Group (KWT) which consists of 2 groups, namely KWT Tuah Sepakat which has 25 members and KWT Banjar Padang Sepakat which has 29 members. The existence of KWT in Batu Kambing provides real results, where farmers are able to manage their yards or yards into land for growing vegetables or secondary crops. Apart from that, it can help the family's economy because their farming results can be used for daily needs and can even be sold to other people.
