Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the character values of reading fondness through third grade literacy culture. This research uses qualitative research methods and uses a case study approach. The subjects in this study were principals, teachers and third grade students. The focus of this research is application of the values of reading fondness characters through literacy culture which is divided into three stages, namely the habituation stage, the development stage, and the learning stage. The data used is the literacy program of SDN Tunggulsari 1, the data sources are the principal, homeroom teacher, and third grade students. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. To test the validity of the data, the researcher used source triangulation and technique triangulation. This study uses the Miles and Huberman model analysis technique, with components of data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the application of the character values for the love of reading was carried out through: 1) the habituation stage by reading books 15 minutes before learning began. 2) the development stage, namely the existence of a library visit schedule. 3) the learning stage, namely the use of literacy strategies to support learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the teachers strategy in dealing with Slow Learners for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 2 Ngringo. The method used in this research is qualitatitve method. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 2 Ngringo. The data in sthis study are the result of interviews with the fifth grade homeroom teacher of SD Negeri 2 Ngringo and 6 students, the results of observations of the learning process, and study documentation. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique in research is interactive analysis with the stages of data collection, data, reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The triangulation technique uses data sources. The results of this study reveal a special strategy applied by classroom teachers, namely using an individual of student-centered learning approach and a remedial approach. This individual approach is carried out with special meetings given by the teacher to those who are indicated to have learning delays (Slow Learners). So, by using this approach it is hoped that the teachers will be able to ensure that students are able to understand and process material optimally in the distant learning process. In addition, studentlearning development can also be monitored specicically for teachers to carry out the process of assessing learning development in order to achieve optimal learning goals for Slow Learners.Kata kunci: distance learning,strategy,slow learners

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the steps of using audiovisual media in thematic learning, the factors that influence the use of audiovisual media in thematic learning, and the effectiveness of thematic learning through audiovisual media. This method used a descriptive qualitative research method through a case study approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews, checklists, questionnaires and documentation studies. The research subjects were directors, teachers and students. Test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques, sources and time. The data analysis of this research used the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis technique, which consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and verification/inference. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of audiovisual media in learning 2nd theme "Menyayangi tumbuhan dan hewan" of 3rd grade of SD Ta'mirul Islam Surakarta is according to the steps in using audiovisual media. The factors that affect the use of audiovisual media in learning are divided into two. The use of audiovisual media makes learning more effective because the learning process attracts students' attention, achieves learning objectives and increases student learning success.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui minat belajar dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Panularan 06 Surakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV dan guru kelas IV SDN Panularan. Sumber data berasal dari guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar siswa cukup tinggi pada pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat belajar sangat berpengaruh pada siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the Analysis of the Role of Parents in Student Learning Assistance. This study discusses the role of parents in student learning assistance which takes place at the subject's home, namely in Karang Tengah Hamlet, Jatipuro Village, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. This study uses a type of qualitative research. This research uses a case study approach with qualitative methods. Techniques in collecting data are observation, interviews, and documentation. The subject of this study was one student at SD Negeri 02 Jatipuro. The data analysis technique used is technical triangulation. The results of the research show that the role of parents in assisting students' learning varies and plays a role in supporting children's learning processes. Parents have given the best role to help students in learning by providing assistance, motivation, role models, and facilities. The results of this study indicate that parents play a very important role in the child's learning process. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the role of parents (Mr. Mardi and Mrs. Sri Wahyuni) in assisting students in learning has shown the role of parents, namely first, carrying out the process of accompanying learning by providing several examples in solving problems and providing suggestions for trying various solution method. Second, giving encouragement to children in learning to help children produce their own ideas in the form of giving awards in the form of goods or praise. Third, set a good example by inviting children and asking them to try to implement the ideas that children convey by adjusting the child's abilities and linking them to everyday life. Fourth, provide good facilities in the form of a good room or environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the cursive writing skills of second grade students. This research applies qualitative method of research and a case analysis methodological approach. The subjects of this research is a teacher and 14 students. The cursive writing skills of second grade students at SDN Tunggulsari 1 Surakarta are the topic of this research. In this research, cursive writing skills were evaluated using eight indicators: form, letter size, distance, slope, alignment, neatness, completion of letters, use of capital letters, and use of punctuation marks. The primary data of this research obtained through interviews with homeroom teacher, second grade students and obtained by observation. The secondary data used by researcher was the study of documents and documentation. The techniques in collecting data were observation, interviews, and the study of documents. The researcher applied source triangulation to validate the data. The Miles and Huberman model analytic procedures were used in this research. The results revealed that the cursive writing skills of second grade students remained deficient. The results of the research of cursive writing abilities based on eight indicators revealed that only five students are classified as sufficient, while the remaining nine students are classified as deficient.Kata kunci: second grade students, elementary school, cursive, cursive writing skill.

Abstract

This research aims to describe online learning planning, implementation of online learning, and evaluation of online learning. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The data in this study were the results of interviews with homeroom teachers of grades I-VI at SD Negeri Sumber IV Surakarta, observations of the learning process, and documentation studies. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study is interactive analysis with the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Triangulation technique using data sources. The results of this study are that learning management at SD Negeri Sumber IV includes learning planning with the result that learning planning at the school is preparing learning tools including annual programs, semester programs, syllabus, and learning implementation plans, but the lesson plans are still incomplete in the activities section. learning. Teaching materials are also prepared such as textbooks and learning videos from YouTube, learning media using WhatsApp Group, Google Classroom,  Google Meet, and Zoom.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the critical thinking skills of students in science learning in class IV. The method used in this research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kayugeritan for the 2021/2022 academic year. The data obtained from this study came from the results of tests on students' critical thinking skills in science learning. Test the validity of the data in this study using content validity. The data analysis technique used in this research is using the theory of Miles and Huberman which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are the critical thinking skills of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kayugeritan are different. There are 20 students who are declared skilled in critical thinking and 7 students who are not yet skilled in critical thinking. Based on the indicators of critical thinking skills, there are still students who have not met these indicators.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to ascertain how the School Literacy Movement was implemented in SD Negeri Bumi I No. 67 Surakarta, how students learned early reading skills during the School Literacy Movement activity in grade I, and how those students' early reading skills changed before and after the School Literacy Movement's implementation. The research method used is a case study approach. Sources of data used in this study were principals, teachers, and grade I students of SD Negeri Bumi I No. 67 Surakarta. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Validity test using time triangulation and technique triangulation. Data analysis techniques using Miles and Huberman with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results obtained were the assessment of the successful implementation of the School Literacy Movement at SD Negeri Bumi I No. 67 Surakarta is quite good. Performance of the School Literacy Movement in class I SD Negeri Bumi I No. 67 Surakarta is in the development stage. There are 3 activities of the School Literacy Movement in forming early reading skills at SD Negeri Bumi I Surakarta, namely reading literacy, numeracy literacy, and literacy. Reading literacy activities have many roles in forming initial reading skills because in practice they can fulfill the indicators of beginner reading skills. This program can be used to develop student qualities and positive habits.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research was (1) vocabulary mastery wuth speaking skills, (2) selft-confident  with speaking skill, (3) vocabulary mastery and self-confident with the speaking skills elementary school at grade 5TH  Ahmad Yani Cluster, Cilacap Selatan District, Cilacap City. This study uses a quantitative correlation reaearch ,ethod. Sampling using cluster random sampling with a population  elemtary school at grade 5TH students Ahmad Yani Cluster. The data analysis techniques used simple correlastion analysis and multiple correlastion assisted by Ms.Excel. The result of the simple correlation analysis indicate that the hypothesis states that there is a significant and positive reliationship between vocabulary mastery with speaking skilss. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude of vocabulary mastery and speaking skills ry1 (0.798), the coefficient of the correlation was tested with the t test, the result tcount (11.011)> ttable (1.995) showing a significant correlation between the self confident and speaking skils ry2 (0.9129), the coefficient of the correlation was tested with the t test, the rusult tcount (18.580)> ttable (1.995) showing a significant correlation between both the vocabulary mastery and self-confident together with speaking skills ry12 (0.856). the coefficient the F test obtained Fcount = 92.907real level α = 0.05, with df = 68 obtained Ftable = 3.131, then Fcount > Ftable.
