This study is experimental research utilizing a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and using class XI F-6 as the experimental class and XI F-10 as the control class. Data collection techniques were carried out using questionnaire instruments, pretest and posttest. Data analysis included assumption test such as normality and homogeneity tests before hypothesis testing is carried out using the independent sample T-test. The results show that (1) differentiated learning has a significant influence on the learning motivation as indicated by the acquisition of a significance value (Sig. 2 tailed) 0,001 < 0,05; (2) differentiated learning has a significant influence on the learning outcomes as evidenced by the acquisition of a significance value (Sig. 2 tailed) with an average posttest value of 0,000 < 0,05. This research can contribute to the development of education related to the topic of differentiated learning. In addition, this research provides novelty in improving the quality of Economic learning through adjusting learning method based on student’s interests, needs, and learning readiness to improve motivation and learning outcomes. Researchers hope that future research can be expanded by using other factors to improve the influence of differentiated learning on motivation and learning outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of love of money and locus of control on the financial management of students in the Faculty of Economics and Business, Tanjungpura University. The method used in this study is quantitative with a purposive sampling technique. The research sample consists of 50 students from the 2021 batch of the Faculty of Economics and Business, from the Accounting, Management, and Development Economics study programs, which were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires (Google Form) that have passed validity and reliability tests. The results of this study show that there is a negative influence of the love of money variable on students' financial management, meaning that the higher the effect of love of money, the lower the students' financial management. On the other hand, the locus of control variable shows a positive influence on students' financial management, meaning that the higher the locus of control, the higher the level of financial management.

Abstract

The use of computers in education and instruction is on the high side now given the recent crop of digital learners in this digital era. Technological-based learning is a way of pacifying the today’s technology-hungry learners. Therefore, this study was aimed at developing and testing the efficacy of Digital Concept Maps Package (DCMP) for online Economics instruction in senior secondary schools. The study was a research and development study that used quasi experimental pretest-posttest non equivalent control group design. The population of the study was 986 SS2 Economics students in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu state. The sample of the study consisted of 201 SS2 Economics students from six secondary schools in the zone. The instrument for data collection was Economics Achievement Test (EAT). The EAT was face validated by seven experts from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. EAT has a reliability index 0.72 using Kuder – Richardson (K-R). The experts also validated the developed DCMP using a Validation Rating Scale (VRS). The data analysis was done using Mean, Standard Deviation and ANCOVA. The findings of the study showed that experts’ validation ratings of DCMP were very high and that the students’ mean achievement score in DCMP group was significantly higher than that of their counterparts taught with lecture method in the control group. The researchers concluded that DCMP is very effective in enhancing students’ achievement in Economics. The implication of the findings is that both Economics teachers and students need to start using DCMP for online instruction in Economics for better students’ achievement.

Abstract

Gender has been identified as a predictor of mental health (stress, anxiety, depression) among university students. This study determined gender influence on the prevalence of financial stress, anxiety, and depression among undergraduate students studying Economics education in South-East public universities. The study employed ex post facto design. The population studied was 1,116 Economics education undergraduate students. The sample consisted of 294 respondents, which was gotten using Yamene’s (1967) sample size determination formula and selected using a multi-stage sampling technique. The study was guided by 3 research questions and 3 hypotheses. Financial Stress, Anxiety, and Depression Scale (FSADS) was used in gathering data. The reliability estimate of the instrument was 0.96 gotten using Cronbach Alpha. Research questions and hypotheses were tested using mean and t-tests at 0.05 level of significance respectively. The finding showed that students’ gender did not influence the prevalence of financial stress, anxiety, and depression among Economics education undergraduate students. It was recommended among other things that; improvement in the fund given to the students by their sponsors should be for all students because the financial challenges faced by the students are not gender-based.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how Risk taking Propensity, Internal Locus of Control, Perceived Barriers, and Received Support influence Entrepreneurial Intention through Attitude Towards Entrepreneurship on students in Banjarmasin. In In this research, the method used is a quantitative method with SEM-PLS analysis to determine the phenomenon being studied. This research questionnaire was built based on a literature review and modified from previous research. The respondents for this research were 310 active students at universities in South Kalimantan. The research results reveal that Risk Taking Propensity and Internal Locus of Control contribute positively and significantly to Attitude Towards Entrepreneurship. Then Attitude Towards Entrepreneurship, RTP, and RS contribute positively and significantly to Entrepreneurial Intention. Meanwhile, Internal Locus of Control and Perceived Barriers do not contribute positively and significantly to Entrepreneurial Intention. This is the first step for students to realize that PB needs to be watched out for, students also need to be aware of the presence of Internal Locus of Control and Perceived Barriers and Internal Locus of Control need to be reconstructed so that they have an impact on entrepreneurial intentions.

Abstract

This research aims to 1) determine the impact of self-efficacy on learning independence, 2) determine the impact of learning motivation on learning independence, and 3) determine the impact of self-efficacy and learning motivation on learning independence. This research applies a quantitative research approach through research methods ex post facto. The population in this study was all class XI students at SMA Negeri 7 Manado for the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 106 students. The sampling method applied is proportional random sampling. The data analysis techniques used by researchers are classical assumption tests such as normality tests, multicollinearity tests, and heteroscedasticity tests, as well as hypothesis tests such as multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The results of this research are 1) Self-efficacy has a positive and significant impact on learning independence, 2) Learning motivation has a positive and significant impact on learning independence, and 3) Self-efficacy and learning motivation together have a significant impact on learning independence. The results of the coefficient of determination test show that self-efficacy and learning motivation contribute 59.3% to learning independence, while another 40.7% is explained by other variables not examined in this research.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model in increasing students' self-confidence and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in Economics at SMA Negeri 1 Demak. Addressing challenges such as low self-confidence and limited critical thinking often associated with traditional teacher-centered methods, the research compares the CTL approach with Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group, the study involved 72 eleventh-grade students who were equally divided into an experimental group (employing CTL) and a control group (using PBL). Data was collected through direct observation of self-confidence indicators as well as pretest-posttest tests to measure HOTS based on aspects of analysis, evaluation, and creation. Statistical analysis, including observation sheet results, N-Gain score calculations, and Independent Sample t-Test, revealed significant improvements in both self-confidence and higher-order thinking skills among students in the CTL group compared to those in the control group. The findings indicate that the CTL model not only increases cognitive engagement but also fosters a more interactive and supportive classroom environment, ultimately enhancing academic performance in Economics. These findings support the adoption of the CTL model as an effective learning strategy in improving Economics subject outcomes at the high school level.
