Abstract

Educational transformation in the digital era demands existence innovation aligned learning with the goal of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4, namely education quality. The world of education, including Islamic Religious Education, must adapt with a more learning model contextual, interactive, and collaborative because progress technology 21st century. Research This aim for describe implementation interactive multimedia- based Islamic Education learning in increase understanding moderation religious student as well as analyze the impact to achieving quality education. Research methods use approach qualitative with design studies case. Data collected through interview with teachers, students, and principal school; observation of the learning process, as well as analysis document supporters. Triangulation sources and methods used guard data validity. Research results show that using interactive media in Islamic Education learning improves involvement cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and spiritual aspects of students. Students more believe self-motivated, enthusiastic, and active in conversations and presentations. Visualization of worship through videos, animations, and simulations help people more understand draft religious moderation and internalization principle like tolerance, togetherness, and responsibility answer social.

Abstract

This study investigates high school students' responses to the implementation of the 3C3R Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in climate change education. Given the complexity of climate issues, the 3C3R model, emphasizing Content, Context, Connection, Research, Reasoning, and Reflection, was applied to foster students' critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving. A descriptive quantitative method was used, with data collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Rasch model. The Wright Map was employed to visualize the distribution of student agreement. Findings show that students responded positively to structured materials, meaningful group tasks, and opportunities to present their work. The most endorsed items highlighted teacher preparation, honest self-assessment, and active involvement in poster presentations. However, student responses also indicated limited participation in collaborative aspects like experiment design and shared responsibility during group work. These results suggest that while the 3C3R PBL model enhances cognitive and emotional engagement, additional support is needed to improve students' communication and teamwork. The study offers valuable insights for educators aiming to deepen student involvement in climate change learning

Abstract

Reading is a fundamental skill that is crucial for the academic success of elementary school students. One common obstacle experienced by third-grade students in Phase B at SDN Sumur Welut III is letter reversal, which is difficulty distinguishing between similar-looking letters like b–d and p–q. This is also often an early indicator in children with dyslexia. This obstacle not only disrupts reading fluency but also lowers students' self-confidence. This research aims to develop multisensory reading card media based on QR video as an innovative solution to help students overcome difficulties in reading similar letters related to dyslexia symptoms. The research method uses the Research and Development (R&D) model with a 4D approach, limited to the Develop stage, resulting in an initial prototype of the learning media. The developed media combines visual, auditory, and kinesthetic aspects thru the use of reading direction arrows, the selection of dyslexia-friendly fonts, and the integration of QR codes linked to word pronunciation videos. The development results show that this reading card has simple, practical, and adaptable characteristics for use both at school and at home. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of print media with simple technology, differing from previous studies that tended to focus solely on visual or fully digital aspects. Although it is still a prototype and has not been empirically tested, this medium has the potential to be an innovative alternative to support the improvement of basic literacy, particularly for students with reading difficulties, including indications of dyslexia. Abstract

Abstract: Mathematics learning in elementary schools often faces obstacles in understanding geometric concepts, especially flat shapes, due to limitations in the use of concrete and interactive media. This study aims to explore the use of flashcards in STEAM-based mathematics learning as an effort to improve fourth-grade elementary school students' understanding of the concepts of sides, angles, and straight lines. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving 14 fourth-grade students at SDN Lidah Wetan 4 Surabaya. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, documentation, and field notes, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the combination of flashcards with manipulative activities using toothpicks and plasticine within the STEAM framework was able to increase student engagement, facilitate concrete conceptual understanding, and encourage critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and mathematical communication skills. These findings confirm that simple media can be innovatively optimized to strengthen mathematics learning in line with the demands of the 21st-century curriculum. This study provides practical contributions for elementary school teachers and opens opportunities for further research on other geometry materials and different grade levels. Abstract

One of the essential competencies in elementary mathematics education is students' conceptual understanding of fractions. However, many students continue to experience difficulties in learning fractions because the material is often presented in a monotonous and abstract manner. This study aimed to improve elementary school students' conceptual understanding of fractions through the implementation of the Fraction Tower Challenge, an educational game-based learning medium. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design consisting of two cycles, each involving the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The participants were 18 third-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through classroom observations, documentation, and written tests administered as pre-tests and post-tests in the form of essay questions. The findings indicated that the implementation of the Fraction Tower Challenge significantly improved students' conceptual understanding of fractions. The comparison between pre-test and post-test scores in the first cycle demonstrated a substantial improvement, while the second cycle showed further progress, although the increase was less pronounced than in the first cycle. Overall, the Fraction Tower Challenge enabled students to understand fraction concepts in a more enjoyable, visual, and concrete way.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ reading comprehension skills before and after the implementation of quartet card media, as well as to determine the influence of this media on improving reading comprehension skills of fourth grade students at UPT SD Inpres 10/73 Turu Cinnae. The research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The subjects consisted of 12 students selected as the experimental group. Data were collected through reading comprehension tests and observation, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with SPSS 23. The results showed that the students’ average pretest score was 70.67 (categorized as sufficient), while the average posttest score increased to 88.58 (categorized as very good). The paired sample t-test revealed a significance value of sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest results. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of quartet card media has a positive and significant effect on improving students’ reading comprehension skills.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of Canva-based interactive animated learning media on the learning interest of fourth-grade students in the IPAS subject. A quasi-experimental design with a Posttest Only Control Group was applied, involving 30 students divided into experimental (n = 15) and control groups (n = 15). Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The results of the independent samples t-test showed a significant difference in students’ learning interest between the two groups (t = 8.402, p < 0.001). The experimental group achieved a higher mean score (M = 36.53) compared to the control group (M = 26.47). The questionnaire was valid (r > 0.361, p < 0.05) and highly reliable (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.963, indicating almost perfect internal consistency). This study contributes novelty by demonstrating that Canva, an accessible and user-friendly design platform, is effective in enhancing learning interest in primary education, differing from previous research that used specialized or less accessible media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Gamelan-Room website as a learning medium on student achievement in the topic of plane figures. This study employed a quasi-experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. The study involved two groups: a control class and an experimental class. Both groups were administered pretests and posttests to observe differences in learning outcomes before and after the intervention. The research subjects were second-grade students, with 26 students in the control class and 26 students in the experimental class. The results of the normality and homogeneity tests indicated that the data met the requirements for hypothesis testing. The results of the independent samples t-test showed that the control group’s average pretest score of 67.0 increased to 78.5 on the posttest, while the experimental group’s average pretest score of 60.5 increased to 84.0 on the posttest. The increase in learning outcomes for the experimental class was greater than that of the control class. From these research results, it can be concluded that the use of the Gamelan-Room website as a visual learning medium for the shapes and characteristics of plane figures proved to be effective in improving students’ mathematics learning outcomes compared to conventional instruction.

Abstract

The rapid progress of information and communication technology has fundamentally shaken the education system, including Islamic religious education (PAI), which for years has been attached to conventional teaching patterns. This article was prepared to examine how urgent the need is for reorienting the PAI curriculum towards digital literacy, as well as mapping the challenges and opportunities that accompany this process. Using a qualitative approach based on literature study, this research explores, compares, and assembles various relevant literature sources, ranging from journal articles, books, to education policy documents. The findings obtained confirm that reorienting the PAI curriculum towards digital literacy is no longer an option, but rather an urgent need to answer the character of digital native generation students; However, its implementation in the field is still hampered by a number of problems, including the gap in digital competence among teachers, the lack of infrastructure, the reluctance of some parties to move away from the old paradigm, the ethical and security vulnerabilities of religious content in cyberspace, the scarcity of truly credible digital teaching materials, and policy support at the educational unit level which is not yet strong enough.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of problem-solving-based Student Worksheets in improving the computational thinking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students on the topic of fractions. This study employs a pre-experimental method with a quantitative approach using a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of 23 fourth-grade students at SDN Sonokwijenan II/96. Data were collected through questionnaires as well as pretest and posttest instruments. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ computational thinking skills, with the average score increasing from 40 on the pretest to 65.32 on the posttest. The paired t-test results showed a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference. The N-Gain score was 0.42, which falls into the moderate category, and Cohen’s d effect size was 1.180, indicating a very strong effect. These findings indicate that the developed problem-solving-based worksheets meet the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and learning outcomes in fractions. These worksheets are designed to systematically integrate problem-solving stages, thereby helping students understand problems, formulate solution strategies, and evaluate the results obtained. Furthermore, the use of problem-solving-based worksheets provides a more meaningful learning experience as students are actively engaged in the learning process and encouraged to think logically and systematically when solving mathematical problems.
