Abstract

Abstrak. Cadangan teknis dalam asuransi merujuk pada jumlah dana yang disiapkan oleh perusahaan untuk membayar klaim dimasa mendatang, ini merupakan komponen penting dalam keuangan perusahaan asuransi untuk memastikan ketersediaan dana yang cukup saat klaim diajukan. Tujuannya untuk memastikam perusahaan memiliki dana yang memadai untuk memenuhi kewajiban klaimnya. Pada tahun 2012, Martinez-Miranda dkk mengembangkan sebuah metode yang dapat mengestimasi cadangan kalim IBNR dan RBNS secara terpisah, yaitu metode Double Chain Ladder metode yang dapat mengestimasi cadangan klaim IBNR dan RBNS secara terpisah. Hasil dari estimasi cadangan klaim IBNR dan RBNS menggunakan metode double chain ladder untuk asuransi kendaraan bermotor berdasarkan data klaim didapatkan untuk total klaim IBNR sebanyak 14,649,062. Sedangan untuk total cadangan klaim RBNS sebesar Rp. 8,818,169,058. Maka perusahaan akan menyiapkan dana tersebut untuk klaim yang akan terjadi dimasa mendatang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Double Chain Ladder merupakan metode chain ladder yang digunakan sebanyak dua kali. Metode Double chain ladder dapat digunakan untuk mengestimasi besarnya cadangan klaim IBNR dan RBNS secara terpisah, dengan menggunakan total besarnya klaim dan banyaknya klaim. Besarnya perkiraan cadangan klaim IBNR dan RBNS dapat diprediksi dengan menentukan parameter mean , inflasi , dan . Untuk menduga besarnya cadangan klaim IBNR, menggunakan data banyaknya klaim masa depan yang diestimasi dengan metode chain ladder, sedangkan RBNS menggunakan data besarnya klaim yang telah tersedia dan teramati. Besarnya dugaan cadangan klaim RBNS lebih besar daripada IBNR, ini karena besarnya klaim yang tersedia dan teramati lebih banyak daripada banyaknya klaim masa depan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka sangat penting bagi perusahaan asuransi menentukan loss reserve RBNS dan loss reserve IBNR secara terpisah karena memiliki fungsi yang berbeda. Loss reserve RBNS dapat ditentukan karena klaim masih dalam proses pembayaran. Sedangkan loss reserve IBNR perlu ditentukan karena berdampak pada total besar klaim yang harus dialokasikan oleh perusahaan asuransi untuk pembayaran klaim-klaim yang akan terjadi pada periode mendatang. Technical reserves in insurance refer to the amount of funds prepared by the company to pay future claims, this is an important component in insurance company finances to ensure the availability of sufficient funds when claims are filed. The goal is to ensure that the company has sufficient funds to fulfill its claim obligations. In 2012, Martinez-Miranda et al developed a method that can estimate IBNR and RBNS claim reserves separately, namely the Double Chain Ladder method that can estimate IBNR and RBNS claim reserves separately. Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between student attendance and mathematics learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh using a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consists of 30 tenth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Attendance data and final exam scores were collected through documentation and analyzed using Pearson correlation in SPSS. The results indicate a significant positive relationship between attendance and learning outcomes, with a Pearson correlation of 0.885 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 78.3%. Besides attendance, factors such as motivation, teaching quality, and family and environmental support also influence learning outcomes. Therefore, improving student attendance through engaging teaching strategies and collaborative support is essential for optimizing mathematics achievement.

Abstract

Siswa sering mengalami lupa pada materi yang telah diajarkan sebelumnya, sehingga dalam menerima materi selanjutnya siswa akan mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan langkah pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, respons siswa dan mengetahui ada tidaknya peningkatan daya ingat siswa setelah penerapan metode Mnemonic dalam pembelajaran matematika di Kurikulum Merdeka. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain penelitian yang diaplikasikan adalah Post-test Only Control Group. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Keterlaksanaan langkah pembelajaran dalam menerapkan metode Mnemonic mempunyai persentase keseluruhan sebesar 85,79% termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. 2) Aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika menggunakan metode Mnemonic menunjukkan persentase sebesar 93,33% termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. 3) Respons siswa pada penerapan metode Mnemonic mendapat kategori sangat baik dengan nilai persentase sebesar 79,35%. 4) Hasil uji tes daya ingat siswa menggunakan uji statistik non parametrik berupa uji Mann Whitney menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan metode Mnemonic terhadap daya ingat siswa terbukti pada nilai p-value sebesar . Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa daya ingat siswa yang diterapkan metode Mnemonic lebih baik daripada daya ingat siswa yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran lain.

Abstract

Analytical geometry as a course that involves algebraic processes in solving problems requires students' accuracy and it is not uncommon for various errors to occur due to the varying levels of students' mathematical abilities. This study aims to describe students' errors in solving Analytical Geometry problems according to Newman's theory as viewed from their mathematical abilities. This research is a qualitative study with a descriptive approach. This research was conducted at the Mathematics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Makassar State University in the even semester of 2023/2024. The subjects in this study were students of the Mathematics Department consisting of 3 people, namely students with high mathematical abilities, students with moderate mathematical abilities, and students with low mathematical abilities. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling by setting criteria for selecting research subjects. Data were collected through written tests and interviews. As well as data analysis techniques used qualitatively by collecting data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results obtained in this study were that the errors made by students with high mathematical abilities only made mistakes in the reading and endcoding processes, while at other stages according to Newman's theory, students did not make mistakes and were able to get the correct answers. Students with moderate mathematical abilities make reading errors, comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skill errors and endcoding errors. Students with low mathematical abilities make errors at every stage, at the reading stage, students also do not understand the meaning of the question (comprehension) so that students are unable to use the correct notation (transformationi) and ultimately are unable to continue the solution process.

Abstract

Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, this study examines mathematics anxiety in mathematics education students who are prospective teachers. Based on the questionnaire results, math anxiety is divided into three levels: low, medium, and high. Based on the interview results, students with low anxiety tend to be more confident, students with moderate anxiety tend to be anxious during exams or when teaching material they have not mastered, and students with high anxiety tend to lose focus, especially when learning difficult theoretical concepts. These findings highlight the importance of providing support to students in managing their anxiety so that they can develop into competent and confident math teachers.

Abstract

Mineral water is a type of water that contains natural minerals or other dissolved substances that can provide taste and health benefits. However, the selection of the most favorite mineral water among students is still not accurate. This is what makes the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method as data processing as the selection of the most favourite mineral water and generates a ranking of the weight calculation of the mineral water selection. The SAW method is used to solve qualitative problems in the selection of mineral water, comparing one criterion to another in order to assess each brand of mineral water in the UINSU Tuntungan area and provide the results of the selection of the most favourite mineral water. This study used 100 student data, 5 brands of mineral water, and 6 criteria, namely price, taste, packaging, water quality, brand, and availability. After determining the weight value of each attribute using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), each alternative is chosen using ranking. This technique facilitates decision-making and yields the optimum outcome. When it comes to selecting mineral water, the findings of this study offer the finest option.

Abstract

Scheduling is very important in teaching activities, especially for teachers who have been certified to fulfill their teaching obligations at least 24 hours a week. So it is necessary to prepare an appropriate schedule. This research aims to optimize teacher scheduling at SMK Negeri 1 Pantai Labu using the linear programming method. The data used is data on the number of teachers and classes at SMK Negeri 1 Pantai Labu. Completion of the simplex method, determining the optimum and feasible solution is obtained if the values in the Z row are all positive. Based on the research results, it was found that the minimum number of teachers needed in 1 period (6 days) was 69 teachers, with the minimum number of teachers starting work on the second day being 5 teachers, the minimum number of teachers starting work on the third day being 6 teachers, the minimum number of teachers There were 5 teachers who started working on the fourth day and the minimum number of teachers who started working on the fifth day was 5 teachers.

Abstract

The development of e-commerce in Indonesia is getting more and more rapid, with various platforms that offer the best services for its users. This research aims to analyze and rank the best e-commerce platforms based on several key criteria, namely transaction speed, ease of use, operational costs, security, and user service support. The method used in this study is Operational Competitiveness Rating Analysis (OCRA), which evaluates alternatives based on criteria with a linear preference approach. The results of the study show that Shopee ranks first with the highest total preference, followed by Tokopedia, Lazada, Blibli, and Bukalapak. This shows that Shopee is superior in the aspects assessed compared to other platforms. Based on these findings, it is recommended for other e-commerce platforms to improve the quality of service to increase their competitiveness. This research can also be a reference for users in choosing an e-commerce platform that suits their needs

Abstract

Competition in the business world, especially land transportation equipment, is currently getting tighter with its use in people's lives, one of which is motorbikes. Its use is very easy and very helpful in everyday life, causing many people to be interested in it. This research aims to determine competitive strategies in motorbike product competition by applying mathematical methods, namely Game Theory. The research results obtained show competition between Honda motorbike products and Yamaha motorbike products with Honda's optimal strategy being product quality, while the optimal strategy for Yamaha motorbike products to compete with Honda motorbike products is model and spare parts.

Abstract

Soal-soal PISA tidak hanya menilai pemahaman konseptual tetapi juga kapasitas siswa untuk menerapkan pengetahuan dalam banyak konteks, yang mengakibatkan adanya variasi kemampuan di antara siswa yang disebabkan oleh perbedaan proses kognitif yang dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan kepribadian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kemampuan numerasi siswa dalam menjawab soal-soal PISA menurut tipe kepribadian ekstrovert dan introvert. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua siswa dari kelas VIII-A di MTs Sultan Fatah Gaji, yang direkrut dengan purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi survei tipe kepribadian dan asesmen PISA. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kualitatif, yang meliputi proses reduksi data, tampilan data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan keterampilan numerasi antara siswa ekstrovert dan introvert ketika menjawab soal-soal PISA. Siswa introvert memiliki keterampilan numerasi.
