Abstract

Recently, the industrial of manufacturing has grown into industry 4.0 and its progress significantly enhanced. The activity of public-serving is to develop the ability of small companies to manufacture. Regarding it, a semi-auto welding machine is required to revolute their performance in the small industry. Further, the welding knowledge obtained by training. That is, the public serving is at CV. Manshurin.  The methods of public-serving aim to develop the small company. The first activity of it has done by upgrading the welding machine. Thus, training for employees to the welding characteristics is important. An invited trainer in a short class meeting is to deliver the information on the welding morphology and guide to operate the semi-automatic welding machine. Regarding it, the employee training has been done offline. the employee’s knowledge of the welding system increased. Further, the employee of CV. Manshurin skills are also increased. Therefore, they can operate a new welding machine (a semi-automatic welding machine). That is, those facts concluded that the employees receive the enhancement of knowledge, especially the morphology of the welding characteristic. In which, its formations are presented by a trainer who is invited to its training day. Thus, a semi-automatic welding machine improves the quality of the welding result.

Abstract

Teenagers are individuals between the ages of 12 and 18, and they are an important part of our society. Teenagers today face many challenges, including conflict problems and early marriage. Conflict can disrupt the learning process and make it difficult for students to concentrate and reach their full potential. Early marriage, on the other hand, can have broader negative consequences, including poorer health outcomes, lower employment opportunities, and lack of education. Early marriages that occur in Randupitu village are very high because many teenagers who marry are not yet old enough. This research uses the community service method with qualitative descriptive presentation. In order to clearly explain the implementation that has been carried out in the field. The research subject is the OSIS of SMPN 1 Gending which is located in Rondokuning, Randupitu, Gedning subdistrict, Probolinggo Regency. The implementation method is by holding outreach to provide motivation to students regarding the importance of education and early marriage by eliminating feelings of boredom in students. Providing motivation about the importance of education by eliminating feelings of boredom is an important achievement that can make it possible to minimize early marriage in Randupitu village. This activity emphasizes the importance of education for teenagers so they can plan a good future for their families and children. The OSIS of SMPN 1 Gending has recognized the role of teenagers in education by having principles and themselves in reducing feelings of excitement. The students know that these teenagers have a very important role in realizing the nation's ideals.

Abstract

The first thousand days of life/Golden Period / window of opportunity is a crucial phase of life. 1000 days of life starts in the womb until the child is 2 years old.  Nutritional problems that occur in this phase include anemia and stunting. The problems above are nutritional problems that need to be addressed, one of which is by understanding the urgency of 1000 HPK and balanced nutrition. This activity is aim to increase knowledge is carried out in the form of nutrition education. Before the activity, a pre-test was carried out and ended with a post-test at the end of the activity. The success of this activity is concluded by evaluating the pre-test and post-test scores. Of the 35 participants who attended, only 17 participants completed the pre-test and post-test. This was because there were participants who arrived late or did not participate in the activity until the end. The average pre-test score is 7.94 and the average post-test score is 11.24. . There was an increase in scores on the post-test of 3.3 points. Statistical analysis using the paired t-test revealed that the increase in knowledge value occurred significantly (p-value < 0.05).   This community service activity succeeded in increasing participants' knowledge with several supporting factors, including the use of appropriate media, appropriate delivery methods, and adequate time. This activity was successfully carried out and there was a significant increase in participants' knowledge. It is hoped that the increase in knowledge that occurs can change the attitudes and behavior of activity participants so that they implement a balanced nutritional diet in their daily lives.

Abstract

Agricultural fertilizers generally use chemical ingredients. Chemical fertilizers are relatively expensive, and their subsidized versions are becoming scarce. Therefore, the application of organic fertilizers can be an alternative to replace chemical fertilizers. The community of RT. 36 in Karang Joang Village is located in the Sungai Wein Protected Forest (HLSW) area, where there are many fallen leaves along the roads and in residents' yards. The residents in this area have expressed concerns about the cost of fertilizers for their agricultural needs. The aim of this activity is to help address this issue by providing a shredder to produce organic fertilizers. The activity began with a site survey, followed by community empowerment activities, which included the design and construction of a leaf shredder, socialization of tool usage and fertilizer production to the community, collection of fertilizer raw materials, and the production of organic fertilizer. The outcome of this community service activity is an increased understanding among the community of how to utilize dry leaves and the production of organic fertilizers that have been made and packaged for easy transportation and use. The conclusion drawn from this activity is that the goal of utilizing the leaf shredder to produce organic fertilizers has been achieved, thereby fulfilling the household agricultural needs in the surrounding area.

Abstract

KWT Azalea Farm has the potential or assets that can be used as a place for edu-agrotourism. However, there are still many weaknesses or deficiencies that must be fixed in order to become a mini edu-agrotourism that is worth visiting. The purpose of this activity is to improve the economy of the surrounding community through more competitive edu-agrotourism management so that it is expected that there will be an increase in income and the creation of food security. The method chosen to solve the problem is the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) approach as well as counseling, training and mentoring. The results of the activity are an increase in the understanding and knowledge of partners related to managing edu-agrotourism, managing websites and the ability to process animal waste into fertilizer. The conclusion of this activity is that partners receive benefits from the activities that have been carried out, and begin to improve to make KWT Azalea Farm a mini edu-agrotourism that is worth visiting. Product marketing begins to utilize website media by managing the website more seriously. Sheep waste has been processed into fertilizer using a flouring machine and has been successfully sold, increasing income. The hope for the future is that the potential that KWT Azalea Farm currently has can be maintained and managed well so that it can continue to provide benefits to the surrounding community.

Abstract

The United States is a major power country that has a long track record of cooperation with Indonesia. On the other hand, Indonesia as a country that currently continues to support Palestinian independence can also be a sensitive issue for relations between the two countries. The aim of this service activity is to provide education about Indonesia-United States relations and to dispel sensitive issues occurring between the United States and Middle Eastern countries which are considered to be an obstacle to build good relations between Indonesia and the United States. This community service aims to increase people to people contact and provide education regarding bilateral relations between Indonesia and the United States. This activity will be carried out in May 2024 using three methods, preparation and delivery of educational material, question and answer session, and reporting. After carrying out this activity, International Relations study program students became more concerned about increasing people to people contact through increasing understanding of the differences between the two countries, democratic values, and opportunities for prosperity for both countries. Apart from that, students understand the functions and duties of diplomats as representing, promoting, protecting, negotiating and reporting. Students also understand the strategic interests of Indonesia and the United States. Also, there is a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Indonesia and the US and an action plan for Indonesia and America for 2024-2028. Including the implementation of shared values ​​and partnerships between Indonesia and the United States. Such as assistance in developing the quality of education in Indonesia, humanitarian assistance, and cultural development between the two countries.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)  are important for economic development for several reasons including being the leading employer and contributing to the growth of villages and towns. However many MSMEs are hard to grow due to limited capital, skills, and lack of support. This community service project was done together with Hani Jahit, a home industry of clothes production located in the village of Bacem, Blitar Regency. Hani Jahit faces capital limitations where the sewing machine in use is no longer suitable. There is no order in the production area and there is a failure in the management in functioning the business. Also, there is no record of income and expenses. The main objective of this community service program was to make a positive contribution to the productivity of the partner business with the view of improving its growth and development. The strategies used were to survey the partner and offer training and support in production, financial, and marketing. In addition, the team of community services offered a new sewing machine of better quality than the previous one, rearranged the place of production, and placed a business sign. By so doing, through this community service undertaking, Hani Jahit increased production by twofold. The fact is this outcome proves that the interventions used by the Abdimas team helped to promote business growth.

Abstract

The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has an important role in increasing the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including Nurisfood, a cooking spice producer in Sleman, Yogyakarta. Despite experiencing rapid growth, Nurisfood still faces several major challenges, such as limitations in accounting systems and digital marketing strategies. This Community Service Activity aims to overcome these problems with web-based Accounting Information Systems (AIS) and Cost Accounting and COGS training and digital marketing strategy training. With this intervention, it is hoped that Nurisfood can improve operational efficiency, expand the market, and increase turnover, so that it can compete in the industrial era 4.0. The approach used is through training activities carried out in four sessions for Accounting Information Systems (AIS) and Cost Accounting including the delivery of concepts and materials, discussions, training in calculating Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and evaluation while digital marketing training includes digital marketing socialization and product photography training using smartphones. The results obtained are in the form of increased knowledge and skills of partners in managing businesses, as well as the application of more effective technology in daily operational activities in the use of AIS, Cost Accounting and quality product photos.

Abstract

Batik craftsmen in Cibuluh Batik Village, Bogor have not been able to analyze the production costs incurred, so that in calculating the cost of production they are not accurate. Inaccurate calculation of the cost of production of batik results in the determination of the selling price being inaccurate and uncompetitive in the market. With this problem, lecturers and students of the Accounting Expertise Field at the Accounting Department of the Jakarta State Polytechnic in partnership with the Cibuluh batik group held training and assistance in calculating the cost of production of batik. This activity is to increase the knowledge of Cibuluh batik craftsmen in the field of accounting and improve their skills in calculating the cost of production. In addition, providing assistance so that they can determine the selling price of batik correctly. The training began by providing basic cost accounting material, then an introduction to the CostMate application and a workshop on calculating the cost of production of batik using the CostMate application. The training ended with the collection of participant performance results on cases given during the training and filling out a training success questionnaire. The training was responded to very well by the participants. From the results of the performance assessment of the given case, all work groups have been able to complete the calculation of the cost of production using the CostMate application with accurate results and on time. And from the results of filling out the questionnaire, 100% of training participants stated that they were able to calculate the cost of batik production independently with the help of the CostMate application. All participants stated that the training held was interesting and useful to support their batik business. The training and mentoring of the cost of production carried out had a positive impact on increasing the competence and satisfaction of training participants. Training in calculating the cost of production with the CostMate application was able to improve the competence of participants in calculating the cost of production and the selling price of batik.

Abstract

The "Bukit Indah" farmer group in Simoro village is an economically/socially productive partner group, because no solution has been implemented to overcome overproduction of chayote. The potential waste from chayote is in the form of fruit waste. This waste is very abundant and most of it is left to rot. The decomposition of this waste causes an unpleasant odor and in the long term will reduce environmental quality. The aim of this service is for the team and partners to collaborate in processing chayote which exceeds production into functional food for under-five and stunted children. Implementation Method: Conduct surveys and identify farmer groups that have the potential to be involved in this program. Establishing partnerships with farmer groups who are willing to participate, the farmer group that has the potential to become a partner is the "Bukit Indah" farmer group in Simoro village. The results of the activity obtained understanding of farmer groups and female cadres in processing agricultural products into food with nutritional value and becoming an innovation in handling the problem of stunting children, increasing cadres' skills in processing chayote into food products, and processing it themselves with the materials provided and intervening with children target toddlers, the intervention was carried out for 20 days with administration 2 days apart, and after the intervention, the average weight and height of the toddlers before the intervention were 10,275  kg and 78,7  cm respectively and after the intervention it was 10,845  kg and 78,951  cm. Training on innovation of food products from chayote in community service activities can overcome stunting and provide solutions to malnutrition among under-aged children.
