Abstract

Ahmadi Culinary MSME is one of the MSMEs in Pulau Lawas Village, Bangkinang District, Kampar which has great potential in developing local community businesses by utilizing catfish which is the mainstay fish of this Regency. The aim of this activity is to help Ahmadi Culinary MSME partners in Pulau Lawas village by providing training in innovation in developing new products made from catfish in the form of grilled fish cake (otak-otak ikan) as a healthy food. The method used in this activity was counseling about the benefits of consuming fish meat and continued with training in making grilled fish cake as a new innovation in developing healthy snack products. Before the activity is carried out, participants who are MSME partners fill out a questionnaire (Pre-test) and are asked for their opinion about the product that has been made (Post-test). Data collection was carried out qualitatively and discussed in accordance with the literatures. The outreach and training activities at Ahmadi Culinary MSME ran successfully where participants were very enthusiastic about innovating to develop new products made from local ingredients in the form of grilled fish cake as a healthy snack. The increasing in partners' knowledge is 85% from initially not understanding enough, to being very understanding and able to make its product with attractive shapes, good taste and good packaging. By developing grilled fish cake products, it is hoped that partners can expand the marketing area, not only in areas around villages and districts but also up to the provincial level and even the national level. So with innovation in the development of new products in the form of grilled fish cake, Ahmadi Kuliner MSME partners can add new culinary variants, which are expected to increase the economic income of partner members.

Abstract

Artificial insemination in Bali cattle provides significant value to increase Bali cattle productivity. However, the negative impacts should not be ignored. Therefore, this community service aims to socialize the negative impacts of artificial insemination and how to prevent it on cattle. This activity was carried out in Sapit village, Suela subdistrict, East Lombok district, NTB. The form of activity is in class session, question and answer session, followed by a visit to the group's cattle housing. This activity was attended by 26 farmers representing 6 group hausing in Sapit village, 4 inseminators and 2 paramedics from the Suela sub-district health center. The evaluation results show that the community service material received a very good response from all participants. A total of 28 people (87.5%) participants stated that the topic was very useful for them. From the entire series of processes and implementation of community service, the team has discussed and evaluated various supporting factors, inhibiting factors and follow-up plans. The inhibiting factor was the bad experience of farmers because some of the cow had experienced dystocia and uterine prolapse so they were still hesitant to carry out AI on their cows. However, after being given lectures and questions and answers by the service team, farmers became more aware of how to prevent reproductive disorders in their cows. Therefore, based on the results of the evaluation carried out after the activity ended, it was found that all participants (100%) stated that they had no doubts and would continue to carry out AI on their cattle.

Abstract

The government is targeting the contribution of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) products to export commodities to reach 21.6 percent by 2024. The solutions and achievement targets to be achieved in this activity are first, observations are made on 11 MSMEs that are ready to export. Second, provide training related to increasing MSME export competency and third, provide the opportunity to take part in Export Assessments. The Export Ready MSME Strengthening Program is carried out in collaboration with the Bangka Belitung Islands Province Cooperative and MSME Service. This aim is to provide information to MSMEs about existing export opportunities, to improve participants' English language skills, to introduce digital technology, especially in digital marketing and the use of advertising videos. After the activities are carried out, training participants are expected to have better English language skills and be able to communicate confidently in an international business environment. By applying digital technology and digital marketing, it is hoped that MSMEs can expand market reach and increase product promotion through attractive advertising videos. The ability to utilize artificial intelligence technology in copywriting is also expected to provide a competitive advantage for MSMEs in creating more persuasive and interesting marketing content. This training will encourage MSMEs to prepare comprehensive business proposals and successfully obtain financial support to develop their business. By achieving these results, it is hoped that MSMEs in the Bangka Belitung Islands can be upgraded to become quality, resilient, export-oriented businesses and make a sustainable contribution to the local economy and community welfare. By holding MSME Week 2023 which focuses on the theme "Sustainable Contribution of Indonesian Youth and Women," it is hoped that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on Bangka Island will achieve the expected results.

Abstract

Strong character will help individuals in dealing with various life situations, including maintaining and developing nationalist identity. This service aims to strengthen nationalist character education by using color clip media in early childhood. Character education and nationalism are important aspects in forming the identity and nationality of a country. However, the challenges faced are how to convey the values of character and nationalism to young children who tend to be highly influenced by the environment, social media and lack of attention to character education and nationalism. The service was carried out at the Semarak Arga Makmur Integrated Islamic Elementary School with the subjects being 1st grade elementary school children. The service method used is through material development and direct practice. Service activities are carried out in several stages including preparation, implementation and reporting. Data was collected through interviews and content analysis of color media clips. The research results show that color clip media has great potential to convey the cultivation of character and nationalism in an interesting and inspiring way. The effective use of visual, musical and narrative elements from clip media can attract attention and create an enjoyable learning experience for children. The continuation of this service activity will develop clip media content that is more diverse and relevant to the cultural and social context of Indonesian society.

Abstract

Cocoa certification is regulated through the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 314/Kpts/KB.020/10/2015 concerning Guidelines for Production, Certification, Distribution and Supervision of Cocoa Plant Seeds (Theobroma cacao L.). The general aim of cocoa certification is to create sustainable agriculture to improve the welfare of farmers and at the same time provide a guarantee for consumers that the cocoa products they consume are obtained from sustainable sources. One of the cocoa producing areas in Polewali Mandar Regency is Luyo District, there are several farmer groups that have not participated in the cocoa certification program. One of the farmer groups that has not participated in this program is the Siamasei Farmer Group. The Siamasei Farmers Group was founded in 2005 through establishment Decree Number 6/04/10/2002/KTH.147/2005. This service activity is to increase the knowledge of the farmer group members’ knowledge of the Siamasei Farmer Group members about the cocoa bean certification program from the egulation aspect, what the certification procedures are and the economic benefits of the program. The method of implementing service is training and mentoring with a chronological strategy. The first stage is questions and answers related to the problems faced by the Siamasei Farmers Group, the second stage the service team provides counseling material, then the third stage is sharing samples of certified cocoa and the fourth stage is monitoring and evaluation. The benefit and hope of this service activity is to increase the Siamasei Farmers Group’s understanding of the Cocoa bean product certification program. Apart from that, group members can increase the economic value of the cocoa bean products they produce. The expected result of this service activity is increased understanding of the Siamasei Farmers Group regarding the Cocoa bean product certification program. Apart from that, group members can increase the economic value of the cocoa bean products they produce.

Abstract

Plantation is a very important sector to meet food needs in Indonesia. However, plantations in Indonesia do not always increase over time. There are still many plantation sectors whose productivity is still low, especially in rural areas. Factors such as lack of capital and technology, lack of market access, and social problems such as land conflicts often become obstacles to the development of a productive and sustainable plantation sector. One example of a farmer group experiencing problems in water distribution is the TEGER 02 farmer group in Mangunsari Village, Semarang City, Central Java. This group has 7 hectares of land and 20 workers. However, the biggest obstacle faced is ineffective water distribution, especially during the dry season. Currently, to water 3000 𝑚2 of cultivated land, the group needs a full day involving 3 workers. Of course, the ratio between a few workers and a large area of land is inversely proportional, so it takes workers a long time to water the plantation land. To overcome this problem, a tool has been developed that can help farmers distribute water that utilizes strong internet access, the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT is very suitable to be applied to Mangunsari Village plantations. An IoT-based sprinkler that can help farmers in watering automatically which is connected to a website application so that it can be accessed directly using the farmer's smartphone. As an electricity supply, photovoltaics are used as an environmentally friendly energy source with a conservation perspective. The results of the service show that this activity makes it very easy for farmers to overcome watering problems which are difficult to control because the number of workers is not proportional to the size of the plantation land. However, adjustments to the website need to be made to produce an application that is more responsive when accessed via farmers' smartphones.

Abstract

A teacher's use of suitable methods is one way to ensure that a unit of instruction runs smoothly and students learn as intended. In other words, we should always reflect on our learning processes to identify where we went wrong and how to fix it. This way, we can make sure that our methods are effective. When it comes to collaborative learning, the teacher's stance should center on two things: modeling the necessary behaviors for effective collaboration and coming up with clear objectives for the class to work toward. The purpose of this study was to examine whether or not teachers in cluster 5 of the Boawae District were able to enhance their critical reflection skills through collaborative learning-based mentoring after taking part in all classroom activities. A qualitative descriptive method based on a case study approach was employed in this research. This study's data came from a combination of observation and joint discussion. Six educators from six different schools in cluster 5 of the Boawae District participated as subjects. Concerning teachers' ability to reflect on their own teaching practices, an issue has been brought up. Educators can discover answers or ways out of these problems by critically reflecting on themselves in light of these issues. Teachers' ability to critically reflect on their own practice improved after using collaborative learning strategies, according to this study. Teachers' ability to guide students through the learning process can be enhanced through the implementation of this collaborative learning strategy. The average percentage of results achieved by teachers after engaging in this mentoring activity is 70,0%, which proves it. The ability to effectively apply knowledge is exhibited by these educators. Educators that are adept at critical reflection can study their students' learning processes and use that knowledge to inform their own pedagogical decisions. Teachers' pedagogical choices have a significant impact on their students' achievement. As a result, 70,0% more teachers in Boawae District are now engaging in critical reflection thanks to mentoring activities based on Collaborative Learning.

Abstract

Untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatan kertas bekas sebagai fanel pengganti kayu, perlu dilakukan program pelatihan yang disertai pendampingan kepada masyarakat sehingga masyarakat dapat langsung mengaplikasikannya dengan hasil yang bagus. Program ini perlu dilakukan untuk menambah penghasilan, masyarakat nelayan yang berada di Pantai Ampenan selatan melalui aktifitas yang produktif, disaat tidak melaut. Program ini dilaksanakan di The Griya Lombok yang merupakan UKM yang sudah berpengalaman dan sangat terkenal di Indonesia dalam mengolah kertas bekas menjadi berbagai macam produk. Metode yang digunakan pada program ini yaitu pelatihan, praktek langsung, pendampingan dan diskusi kelompok (FGD) yang terarah sehingga peserta bisa mengaplikasikan metode daur ulang kertas menjadi fanel pengganti kayu secara langsung dilapangan,. Pada kegiatan ini dilakukan juga evaluasi melalui quisioner skala likert untuk mengetahui % tingkat pemahaman masyarakat nelayan terhadap 4 variabel yang dinilai . Hasil dari program ini yaitu, kegiatan pengabdian ini berjalan dengan sangat baik, pemahaman terhadap 4 variabel yang dinilai, semuanya mengalami peningkatan dan menghasilkan rata-rata peningkatan pemahaman yang sangat tinggi yaitu sebesar 98.96 %. Peningkatan pemahaman yang tertinggi adalah pada variable keterampilan dalam pembuatan produk dari limbah kertas (PPK) sebesar 125.00 %, dan yang terendah adalah pada variable Pemahaman limbah kertas bisa bernilai ekonomi (KPE) yaitu 70.83%.

Abstract

Tourism is an economic sector that is growing very rapidly and dynamically. Indonesia has a widespread tourism potential. Muara Enim is an area that is rich in tourism potential, some of which has been managed as a tourist destination. In developing this tourist destination, integrated tourism marketing communications is needed which is supported by strong destination branding so that it is able to compete with tourist destinations in other areas. This community service activity aims to increase understanding of tourism marketing communications with the target audience of Karang Taruna members in Pajar Bulan Village, Semende Darat Laut District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. This activity first begins with a pre-test to measure participants' knowledge before receiving the material, followed by a presentation of material regarding the basics of tourism marketing communication using lecture methods, question and answer session, and ends with a post-test to measure participants' understanding after receiving the material. This service activity succeeded in increasing public understanding of tourism marketing communications. This is evidenced by the increase in the average post-test result of 76,8 from the average score during the pre-test of 55,6. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test shows the Sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05 which means the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is proven. This result has proven that there is a significant difference between the average pre-test score and the average post-test score. This shows that tourism marketing communication training has a significant influence on increasing participants' understanding of important aspects in tourism destination marketing. It can be concluded that over all the implementation of tourism marketing communication training in Pajar Bulan Village has been successful because there has been an increase in understanding.

Abstract

New entrepreneurs in Bogor Regency have difficulty measuring their financial performance accurately. This is because novice entrepreneurs still have minimal knowledge of accounting, ignore the importance of recording financial transactions so they do not have proper financial reports according to accounting standards. The solution to this problem is to hold an accounting literacy training program and mentoring for budding entrepreneurs. The aim of this activity is to increase the knowledge of novice entrepreneurs regarding the basics of accounting and provide assistance to novice entrepreneurs in preparing their financial reports using the SI Apik cloud-based accounting application. Training was carried out at the Bogor Regency Cooperatives and UMKM Service. Starting with giving a pretest to the participants to find out the initial knowledge of accounting that the training participants have, continued with providing basic accounting material and a workshop on preparing financial reports using the SI APIK application, then ending with completing the posttest by the participants. From the pretest results, the percentage of participants who understood the basics of accounting was only 43.70%, after attending the training it increased to 97.41%, or there was an increase in knowledge of the basics of accounting among training participants by 53.71%. Meanwhile, in terms of skills in preparing financial reports using the SI APIK application, before the training was given, only 3.33% of participants knew and understood the SI APIK application, however after being given the training this increased to 90%, or there was an increase in participants' understanding and skills in making bookkeeping and preparing financial reports with SI APIK of 86.67%. Accounting training activities are able to increase participants' basic knowledge of accounting and improve participants' skills in using the SI APIK cloud-based accounting application.
