Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of ISM Code Implementation and Crew Competence on Safety Awareness and its effect on Work Accident Prevention among crew members at PT Asia Maritim Temas. The main issue faced is the low level of safety awareness and the high number of work-related accidents among crew members, which affects the operational safety of the vessels. This research employs a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, involving 155 ship officers selected through saturated sampling. Data collection was done using questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using SmartPLS to examine the direct and indirect effects between the variables. The results show that ISM Code Implementation has a significant effect on Safety Awareness and Work Accident Prevention (t-value = 3.750), while Crew Competence also has a significant effect on Safety Awareness and Work Accident Prevention. Both variables also have an indirect effect on Work Accident Prevention through Safety Awareness. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the ISM Code and the enhancement of crew competence can improve safety awareness, which in turn can prevent work accidents on board. It is recommended to strengthen the implementation of ISM Code and safety training programs for crew members. Future research could explore this topic in more depth using a qualitative approach to better understand the challenges and perceptions of crew members regarding the implementation of safety measures

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how Teamwork and Person-Environment Fit influence Turnover Intention mediated by Organisational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in Sinar Mas Land particularly customer care division. Data was obtained by distributing a closed questionnaire filled up by 117 participnats, and the data processing was then conducted using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with a software SmartPLS 3.0. The result shows that Teamwork does not negatively affect Turnover Intention but positively contribute to OCB. Meanwhile, Person-Environment Fit has a negatif effect toward Turnover Intention and a positif effect toward OCB. There is a  reduction in the intention of turning over influenced by OCB. Moreover, OCB also functions as a mediator between Person- Teamwork and Person-Environment Fit toward Turnover Intention. These findings urge to strengthen Teamwork and employee-environment in order to enhance the development of OCB in Sinar Mas Land Customer Care

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Safety Equipment and ship Maintenance on risk mitigation and its implications for the safety of navigation of Non-Convention Vessel Standard (NCVS) ships in West Kalimantan. The main issue addressed in this study is how the completeness and readiness of Safety Equipment, as well as the quality of ship maintenance, can minimize potential risks and support navigational safety. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The population of the study consists of all NCVS crew members in the West Kalimantan region, specifically the Rasau Jaya-Teluk Batang route, with a sample size of 140 respondents selected using saturated sampling. The data were analyzed using a closed-ended Likert scale questionnaire. Hypothesis testing was performed using SmartPLS 4 software to examine the relationships and effects between variables. The results indicate that Safety Equipment and ship Maintenance have a significant impact on risk mitigation and indirectly contribute positively to navigational safety. These findings have important implications for NCVS operational management, emphasizing the need for closer attention to the compliance of Safety Equipment standards and the regular preventive maintenance schedules to improve navigational safety in the West Kalimantan work area

Abstract

This study aims to describe leadership support, work environment, work morale, and the quality of public services at the Population and Civil Registration Office of West Tanjung Jabung Regency. It also analyzes the influence of leadership support and the work environment on the quality of public services, both directly and indirectly through work morale. The study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population was 12,264 people served by the Population and Civil Registration Office of West Tanjung Jabung Regency, with a sample of 100 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results showed that leadership support and the work environment had a positive and significant effect on employee work morale. Work morale was proven to play an important role as a mediating variable that strengthens the influence of leadership support and the work environment on the quality of public services. These findings confirm that the optimization of public services is not only determined by the procedural system, but also by managerial support and a conducive work environment. This research is expected to provide a practical contribution to the Population and Civil Registration Office of West Tanjung Jabung Regency in improving the quality of services, while enriching academic studies on the relationship between leadership, work environment, work enthusiasm, and the quality of public services

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and training on employee performance through motivation as an intervening variable at the Environmental Service Office of Jambi Province. The research population consists of all 101 Civil Servants (PNS) at the Environmental Service Office of Jambi Province. The sampling technique used the census method, in which the entire population was included as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results show that competence has a positive and significant effect on motivation and employee performance. Training also has a positive and significant effect on motivation and employee performance. Furthermore, motivation is proven to act as an intervening variable that strengthens the influence of competence and training on performance. Thus, the higher the competence and the better the training provided, the greater the employee motivation, which ultimately leads to improved employee performance

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Influence of Information Security, Perceived Ease of Use of the Mobile Banking Application by Users and Brand Image on the Decision to Use the Neo Bank Mobile Banking Application through Trust as an Intervening Variable. The research method used is a quantitative causal survey method, where the variables used in this study include 3 (three) independent variables, namely perceived ease of use, information security and brand image, while the dependent variable is the Decision to Use with a total of 183 respondents. Data analysis used in this study is the Partial Least Square (PLS) method using SmartPLS 3. The results of the study indicate that information security, ease of use, brand image, and trust have a significant positive effect on the decision to use the application. Information security and ease of use not only increase the decision to use directly, but also through increasing user trust. Similarly, a positive brand image is able to build trust, which in turn encourages the decision to use. Trust is proven to be an important factor that mediates the influence of these variables, so that the higher the level of security, ease, and brand image, the greater the tendency of users to use the application actively and continuously

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of safety culture and ship engine maintenance on accident prevention, which in turn affects maritime safety at PT Indo Container Lines. This research uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional research design. The sample used in this study consists of 107 crew members of PT Indo Container Lines, selected using the Slovin formula to determine a representative sample size. The data collected includes primary data obtained through questionnaires and interviews, as well as secondary data from the company's reports on safety and ship maintenance. The collected data was analyzed using SmartPLS software to test the relationships between the variables involved. The results of the study show that safety culture has a positive and significant impact on accident prevention, which in turn leads to improved maritime safety. These findings indicate that a strong safety culture, including awareness and safe behavior, plays a key role in reducing the risk of accidents during voyages. Additionally, ship engine maintenance was found to have a positive and significant impact on accident prevention, with well-maintained engines reducing the potential for technical failures that could jeopardize maritime safety. Accident prevention, driven by good engine maintenance and an applied safety culture, contributes to the overall enhancement of maritime safety. This study recommends that PT Indo Container Lines continue to strengthen the safety culture among its crew and enhance ship engine maintenance to support better maritime safety. By creating a safer work environment and ensuring that ships operate in optimal conditions, PT Indo Container Lines can reduce the risk of accidents and significantly improve maritime safety in the future
