Abstract

The political landscape of the Middle East is marked by complex power dynamics, where authoritarianism has historically shaped government structures and influenced societal developments. This study aims to explore the intricate relationships between power, governance, and authoritarianism in various Middle Eastern nations. By focusing on the historical and contemporary manifestations of political authority, this research seeks to understand the strategies employed by ruling elites to maintain control, as well as the impact on political stability and citizen participation. A qualitative research methodology is utilized, involving in-depth case studies, document analysis, and interviews with political analysts and scholars specializing in Middle Eastern politics. The data gathered is analyzed using thematic analysis to uncover patterns of governance and authoritarian practices. The findings indicate that the concentration of power in the hands of a few elites, combined with limited political pluralism and restricted civic freedoms, perpetuates a cycle of authoritarian governance. Furthermore, the study highlights the role of external actors in either reinforcing or challenging these regimes. The research contributes to a deeper understanding of the resilience of authoritarianism in the region and offers insights into potential pathways for political reform.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has transformed the way consumers interact with brands, largely influenced by the proliferation of online marketing campaigns. With the increasing use of digital platforms, businesses are leveraging targeted campaigns to influence consumer behavior, which plays a crucial role in purchasing decisions. This study aims to analyze the impact of online marketing campaigns on consumer behavior in Indonesia's e-commerce market, focusing on how elements such as personalization, promotions, and social media engagement shape consumer preferences and purchasing patterns. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing surveys distributed to 400 e-commerce users across major cities in Indonesia. The data was analyzed using statistical tools to determine the correlation between the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and changes in consumer behavior. The results indicate that personalized marketing campaigns, especially those delivered via social media platforms, have a significant positive effect on consumer engagement and purchase intent, with 68% of respondents more likely to complete a purchase following exposure to tailored promotions. Additionally, discounts and limited-time offers were found to be the most effective drivers of consumer action, contributing to increased sales and brand loyalty. However, the study also identifies challenges such as consumer skepticism towards overly aggressive marketing tactics, which may lead to decreased trust in the brand. Overall, this research provides valuable insights into the strategies that can enhance consumer engagement and purchasing behavior in Indonesia’s dynamic e-commerce market, offering practical recommendations for marketers to optimize their online campaigns.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of employee retention and organizational commitment on turnover intention at PT. Fastfood Indonesia Tbk. at the KFC Ratulangi Makassar outlet. Using a quantitative survey method with 33 respondents, the data were analyzed through multiple linear regression. The results show that employee retention (B = 0.314, p < 0.05) and organizational commitment (B = 1.159, p < 0.001) significantly influence the reduction of turnover intention. The constant value of -12.106 indicates that when employee retention and organizational commitment are both zero, turnover intention is predicted to be very low. Adjusted R2 of 0.874 indicates that 87.4% of the variability in turnover intention can be explained by employee retention and organizational commitment. The company is advised to enhance retention strategies and organizational commitment to maintain workforce stability and increase productivity.
