Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of grade IV students of SDN 007 Sungai Kunjang. This is due to several factors, one of which is the lack of use of learning media used by teachers. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the use of interactive learning media based on Articulate Storyline 3 on the mathematics learning outcomes of students of number material up to 10,000 in grade IV of SDN 007 Sungai Kunjang. The research method used is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design, using the entire existing population as a research sample totaling 52 students consisting of 26 students from class IV B as the experimental class and 26 students from class IV A as the control class selected through saturated sampling techniques. The post-test results obtained from the study showed that the average score of mathematics learning outcomes in the experimental class was 77.32 while in the control class the average was 67.09. The results of data analysis with the Independent t-test obtained were the significance value (2-tailed) = 0.002. Based on the decision-making basis of the Independent t-test, if the significance value (2-tailed) < 0.05, then Hα is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus, because the significance value (2-tailed) obtained is less than 0.05, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the use of interactive learning media based on Articulate Storyline 3 on the mathematics learning outcomes of students with number material up to 10,000 in grade IV of SDN 007 Sungai Kunjang. This research contributes to the development of learning innovations in mathematics learning and the improvement of student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research examines the shortcomings of prior studies on global inclusive education trends and patterns. The main objective is to explore and visualize scientific publications on Inclusive Education for Children, as recorded in the Scopus database from 2020 to 2024, using a bibliometric approach. The methodology used is descriptive quantitative analysis through bibliometric techniques. Data were collected by conducting a literature search using the keywords "inclusive education" and "children" in Scopus. These data were then analyzed using VOSviewer software to identify publication patterns, citation trends, and dominant keywords. A significant upward trend in publication output is evident in the results, most notably seen between 2021 and 2022. Frequently occurring keywords include "inclusive education," "human," "teachers," "parents," and "childhood." The main conclusion of this study is that research related to autism spectrum disorders in children has experienced substantial growth in recent years. These findings underscore the need for stronger collaboration among countries to promote a more inclusive approach. This study also contributes to building a foundation for continued scientific research on Inclusive Education for Children.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited number of comprehensive quantitative investigations into the simultaneous relationship between parental attitudes and school literacy programs on students' reading interest at the elementary level, despite the fact that low reading interest has significant implications for students' lifelong academic potential and cognitive development. The aim of this study is to analyze the correlation between parental attitudes and school literacy initiatives, both individually and jointly, in relation to students’ reading interest at SDN Simpang Empat 3. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was used, involving 47 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed with bivariate correlation and multiple regression tests. The results show that parental attitude has a significant positive correlation with students’ reading interest (r = 0.462; p = 0.001 < 0.05), as does the school literacy movement (r = 0.422; p = 0.003 < 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables significantly contribute to students’ reading interest (R² = 0.349; p = 0.000 < 0.05), indicating that these two factors together explain 34.9% of the variation in reading interest, with the remaining influence attributed to other factors beyond the scope of this study. The main conclusion of this research is the importance of synergy between positive parental attitudes and effective implementation of school literacy programs in fostering students’ reading interest. The implications include the need to strengthen home-school collaboration and optimize literacy initiatives to support the development of a reading culture from an early age. This study also recommends further research to explore causal relationships and extend the generalizability of the findings across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of the Make a Match cooperative learning model to address low student performance in the Fiqh subject at MTs Al-Irsyad 07 Batu, where 28% of students scored below the minimum competency threshold (KKM), largely due to the density of reading material. The research aims to explore the planning, implementation, and evaluation processes of the learning model, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing its effectiveness. Adopting a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the Head of Madrasah, Deputy for Curriculum, Fiqh teachers, and students. Data were analyzed using an interactive model comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the planning process includes formulating learning objectives, selecting relevant materials, and preparing appropriate teaching strategies. Implementation occurs in three phases: preparation, instruction, and closure. Evaluation encompasses cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The study concludes that the Make a Match method fosters an engaging learning environment that enhances students’ motivation and learning skills in Fiqh. The findings suggest that employing varied and interactive instructional strategies can improve learning outcomes and create a more dynamic classroom experience. These results offer practical implications for educators seeking to enhance instructional quality and student engagement in religious education.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of religious moderation in a multicultural school context, focusing on how SMP Negeri 1 Sanggau integrates these values into its educational environment. Motivated by the growing need to cultivate inclusive and tolerant attitudes among students, the research aims to explore the application of religious moderation values and examine institutional efforts to internalize these principles in daily school life. Employing a qualitative case study design, participants were selected through purposive sampling and included Islamic Religious Education teachers, school administrators, homeroom teachers, and student representatives. Data were collected through direct observation of both curricular and extracurricular activities, unstructured interviews, and analysis of the school’s social media content. The findings reveal that the school promotes religious moderation through a universal values-based approach, specifically drawing from Diane Tillman’s Living Values Education (LVE) framework. Core values such as tolerance, peace, cooperation, and unity are not only incorporated into classroom instruction but are also embedded in school-wide practices, including interfaith celebrations, local wisdom projects, and the routine cultivation of inclusive attitudes. The study concludes that the integration of universal character values provides an effective foundation for fostering religious moderation without privileging any particular religious identity. This approach offers practical implications for the development of character education models in multicultural educational settings.

Abstract

Teacher competency plays a critical role in shaping student learning outcomes, particularly in the context of religious education. This study explores the professional competence of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers at MAN 2 Ponorogo and examines how their professional skills contribute to improving student achievement. The research also investigates the challenges faced by IRE teachers, the strategies they employ to address these challenges, and the impact of their competence across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains of student learning. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through classroom observations, interviews, and document analysis. The findings demonstrate that IRE teachers at MAN 2 Ponorogo meet the five key indicators of professional competence, including mastery of subject matter, pedagogical planning, instructional implementation, assessment ability, and reflective practice. However, teachers encounter several challenges, such as low student interest in religious education, managing diverse student backgrounds, and the intrusion of personal issues into the instructional process. Despite these obstacles, the professional competence of IRE teachers positively influences student learning by fostering a holistic educational experience that integrates intellectual, emotional, and behavioral development. These findings underscore the significance of sustained professional development for IRE teachers and provide valuable insights for enhancing the quality of religious education in secondary schools.

Abstract

Understanding the determinants of students’ academic achievement is critical, particularly in the context of Islamic Cultural History education at the madrasah level. This study investigates the influence of the learning environment and religiosity on the academic achievement of students at MTs Almaarif 01 Singosari. Employing a quantitative approach with a correlational design, the research involved 276 randomly selected students from grades VII, VIII, and IX. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires to assess students' perceptions of their learning environment and religiosity, while academic achievement was measured using report card scores. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that both the learning environment and religiosity significantly influence academic achievement, both jointly and independently. The learning environment emerged as the more dominant predictor, with a standardized beta coefficient of 0.280, compared to religiosity with a beta coefficient of 0.163. The model's R² value of 0.146 indicates that these two variables explain 14.6% of the variance in academic achievement, suggesting that additional unmeasured factors also contribute to students' academic performance. These findings underscore the importance of fostering both conducive learning conditions and strong religious values to support educational success. The study highlights the need for a holistic educational approach that integrates physical, social, and spiritual dimensions to create a supportive and sustainable learning ecosystem in madrasah settings.

Abstract

Student character problems in the modern era are growing due to globalization, while education still tends to emphasize cognitive aspects alone. Although character building should be central, the implementation of holistic education and integration of divine values remains suboptimal in many schools. This study aims to examine the concept and implementation of holistic education and its implications in the formation of the religious character of students at SMP Thursina International Islamic Boarding School, Malang. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling, and data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study show that the concept of holistic education is stated in the vision and mission of the institution, guided by the Qur'an that humans were created in the best form, so that holistic education is needed. The implementation of holistic education is seen from the integration of six curricula covering religious, academic, and self-development aspects, as well as the instillation of RECODING values (Religious, Caring, Open-minded, Inspiring) inside and outside the classroom. The character-building process is carried out through the habit of worship, teacher role models, the environment, and evaluation through a merit and demerit point system. It has significant implications for students' religious character in daily worship (such as congregational prayer, reading the Qur'an, Sunnah fasting), caring for others, discipline, respecting teachers and friends. This study has implications for becoming a relevant model to be applied in other Islamic educational institutions, especially in the concept of holistic education, integration of divine values in learning and students' daily lives, and evaluation is carried out using a merit and demerit point system to shape students' character.
