Fokus publishes original research or theoretical papers about teaching and learning in Guidance and Counseling study program of IKIP Siliwangi Bandung on current science issues, namely: Guidance and Counseling educator in elementary, secondary and high school level. Guidance and Counseling observers and researchers. Educational decisions maker on regional and national level. We recommend classroom action research, qualitative, descriptive, or quantitative. We may process manuscript of didactic development research (DDR) or research and development (RnD). Our publication could be research on teaching method, an experiment of teaching aid or media, and even effectiveness of lesson study. We accepted any manuscript derived from research of Guidance and Counseling in Indonesia. We will not process manuscript from research approach of school management.

Abstract

Career awareness is very necessary to develop the potential that exists in students to help understand, plan and make career decisions of students, because the function of career awareness is very important, a career awareness measurement tool is needed, namely in the form of a career awareness questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability . The subjects of this study were 24 students of SMKNPP Cianjur class X totaling 24 students. From the results of the validity test of 30 statements, there were 3 questions that were declared valid and the validity test got a value of 0.400 which means that it is included in the moderate category meaning that the questionnaire that has been compiled tends to show the same results and if it is tested again on time and on other subjects, the results are not far away. different. Keywords:  career awareness, validity, reliability.

Abstract

Emotion is a volatile state in an individual that functions or acts as an internal adjustment to the environment to achieve individual well-being and safety. Emotion regulation is the ability of students to control, evaluate and modify their emotions. Students who have high or stable and normal emotional regulation are able to regulate their emotions and can express emotions in accordance with the norms and circumstances of the surrounding environment.The method used is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach and the subjects in this study were students of SMP Negeri 2 Pakisjaya Determination of the sample size taken using the Slovin formula as many as 120 students. The sampling technique used in this study is Proportional Random Sampling, it is intended that each population in the class can represent. The results showed that the majority of students' emotional regulation were in the moderate category, amounting to 88 (73.33%), for the high category there are 12 (10%), and the remaining 20 (16.67%) are in the low category.It was concluded that the majority of the students of SMP Negeri 2 Pakisjaya were in the moderate category and had normal and stable emotional regulation. Keywords: : Emotional Regulation, Learners

Abstract

Career decision-making is the process of determining one of two or more choices related to intentional work/further education. This research aims to find out how the Implementation of Online-based Career Guidance Services through Group Discussion Techniques in career decision making, teacher and student response, student difficulties, as well as obstacles experienced by BK teachers regarding Online-based Career Guidance services through Group Discussion Techniques in career decision making. The method study qualitative descriptive. Data obtained from results research in  form words and explanations about a phenomenon that occurs. The subjects in this study were 1 BK Teacher, and 6 students of class XII Of State High School 1 Cisarua. The data collection procedure uses questionnaires, observations and interviews. Based on the results of research shows the findings in the field including students are not fully able to make career decisions well proven by the results of career decision making. There is only 1 student who has a career decision in the high category with a percentage of 17%, while 4 people with a moderate category with a percentage of 67%, and 1 person with a low category with a percentage of 17%. However, after being given career guidance services students find it helpful in their further education decision making. Keywords: Career Guidance, Group Discussion, Career Decision Making

Abstract

Self-Confidence is an individual who can work effectively, is able to perform his duties very well and is able to take responsibility for what he does, has plans for his future. The purpose of this study was to obtain a self-confidence profile of MTs Al Bidayah students, while the method used was descriptive quantitative research method. With the questionnaire questionnaire data collection method to obtain a self-confidence profile of MTs Al Bidayah students, where the research subjects were 120 active students of MTs Al Bidayah. The results obtained in this study were 18% of students with low self-confidence, 62% of students who had moderate levels of self-confidence, 20% of students who had high levels of self-confidence. Keywords: : low self-confidence, self-identity

Abstract

This research is based on phenomena in the field which show the aggressive behavior of students of SMK Negeri 1 Plered Purwakarta class XI. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of aggressive behavior, the factors causing aggressive behavior in terms of age and grade level perspective. Samples who behave aggressively are students who experience problems personally. This type of research uses descriptive quantitative methods aimed at revealing individual data. The research sample amounted to 82 people taken from the total population. Information collection is carried out to obtain data related to the phenomenon of circumstances, or certain variables and the presentation of conclusions through statistical exposure, data collection methods using questionnaires. Aggressive behavior is a reaction to conditions of worry, frustration, anger by trying to hurt others. The form of aggressive behavior in responding to a condition of worry, frustration, anger by attacking an object, physically attacking, symbolically or verbally threatening and degrading others and demanding behavior. The results of the study stated that the causes of aggressive behavior were social, personal, cultural factors, weather conditions, and mass media.Keywords: Aggressive Behavior, Age, Grade Level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the picture of the motivation of achievement students of class VIII MTs Al Bidayah.The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with this type of quantitative deriftive research. The data collection method used in this study is a questionnaire that is adjusted from the indicators of Mc Clleland's achievement motivation theory (1961). The results showed that the achievement motivation of MTs. Albidayah students belonged to the high category with an average score (mean) of 86.3 and a percentage of achievement of 86.3%. The three dimensions of student motivation also showed high results, namely N-ach (mean = 57.37; achievement = 88.26%), N-aff (mean = 16.43; achievement = 82.17%), and N-pow (mean = 13.13; achievement = 87.56%). This means that students have a good enough motivation to perform when participating in learning activities in school. Keywords: : motivation, achievement, students

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of students who have self-regulated learning towards online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMPN 2 Pakisjaya, Karawang Regency. This research is based on phenomena that occur in schools. There are some students who have low self-regulated learning in online learning. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive type of research. Data collection techniques used in this research is to use observation, interviews. The subjects in this study were 3 students who had low self-regulated learning towards online learning during the covid-19 period. The results of this study found that students during the online learning process experienced difficulties in self-regulation in learning, this was seen from the aspects of metacognition, motivation and behavior. The factors that influence students' self-regulated learning are internal factors and external factors. Keywords: : Self regulated learning, Online learning, Covid-19

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical data regarding the level of student self-efficacy at MTs Nurul Hidayah. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Collecting data using a self-efficacy instrument that contains 38 statement items with a sample of 100 students in grades VII and VIII. The results showed that the level of self-efficacy of students in MTs Nurul Hidayah are in the medium category, which is between the high and low categories, most of which are quite capable and confident in their abilities. As for the aspect of the dimension of self-efficacy, the highest order of results is obtained at the 68% level dimension, followed by the generalization dimension 67%, and the last order is the strength dimension 64%. The results of this study are to determine the description of student self-efficacy at MTs Nurul Hidayah which should to be an aide for BK instructors as a work to assist with further developing understudy self-efficacy. Keywords: : Self efficacy. students

Abstract

The Covid-19 virus has changed the procedures of civilization in Indonesia, especially during the learning process. Changes in the learning process will have an impact on face-to-face and other learning modes, as well as on learning motivation, because it is certain that students can feel bored when studying online at home. This study aims to confirm the learning motivation of SMA Negeri 4 Cimahi or the concept of student learning encouragement during the COVID-19 outbreak. This study uses a qualitative description system. The data collection methods that I used in this study were interviews and recording. The results showed that this study was conducted on four students of SMA Negeri 4 Cimahi whose learning motivation is still very low, the signs include: family conditions, learning abilities, student conditions, monotonous learning, lack of motivation to learn, and teachers teaching.  Keywords: concept motivation, pandemic covid-19

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of self-confidence problems that occur in students. Self-confidence has an important role for all individuals, especially in the field of education, self-confidence is a person's basic capital in meeting their own various needs. Every student must have self-confidence to know the abilities that exist in him and develop the potential that is in him. Therefore, a confidence measurement tool is needed in the form of a confidence questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. From 50 statement items, 10 statements are obtained that are declared valid and the validity test gets a value of 0.446 which is included in the moderate category. That way self-confidence questionnaires can be used with shifting results when used with other subjects. Keywords:  Self Confidence, Validity, Reliability
