Fokus publishes original research or theoretical papers about teaching and learning in Guidance and Counseling study program of IKIP Siliwangi Bandung on current science issues, namely: Guidance and Counseling educator in elementary, secondary and high school level. Guidance and Counseling observers and researchers. Educational decisions maker on regional and national level. We recommend classroom action research, qualitative, descriptive, or quantitative. We may process manuscript of didactic development research (DDR) or research and development (RnD). Our publication could be research on teaching method, an experiment of teaching aid or media, and even effectiveness of lesson study. We accepted any manuscript derived from research of Guidance and Counseling in Indonesia. We will not process manuscript from research approach of school management.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the number of smokers and the description of the causes of smoking behavior in adolescent students, especially class VIII MTs. This research used qualitative descriptive method involving 6 students as research samples taken from 30 students of class VIII. Data collection techniques and sample selection through the distribution of questionnaires. Based on the resulted of the research related to the description of smoking behavior in class VIII MTs in Purwarkarta, from total 30 students. the researcher can draw the conclusion that it was found that a total of 6 students (20%) smoke and 24 students (80%) did not smoke. The students who have a level of addiction to cigarettes are categorized from the number of smokers, 4 students (66%) are heavy smokers and 2 students (34%) are moderate smokers. Factors behind this include peers, curiosity, the community and family who smoke. Keywords: : Smoking behavior, MTs Students

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the implementation, response of teachers and students, difficulties, and the impact of the implementation of group counseling services through Zoom Meeting with cinematheraphy techniques on the motivation of learning students of grade XI SMA Dar El-Fikri Cianjur. Research uses techniques by taking data through observations and interviews. Interviews were conducted to counseling guidance teachers, principals, deputy principals, teachers and students. This study found that 1) group counseling services stage formation of the transition stage, the stage of activities and closure and evaluation 2) The response of teachers and students is quite good, very comfortable, enthusiastic in learning, and can support from teachers, 3) Difficulties experienced by students, namely facilities and infrastructure and home conditions; and 4) Obstacles experienced by teachers, namely time, coordination, lack of knowledge of BK teachers, infrastructure facilities.Keywords: Cinematheraphy, Counseling, Motivational Learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of those who have low self-confidence in class VII SMP N 6 CAMPAKA. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach because it describes a phenomenon, event, and occurrence that occurs factually, systematically, and accurately. The research sample used was 9 students of SMP N 6 Campaka. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire containing several questions about perceptions of the research problem. In addition to the questionnaire, there are also interview guidelines as a follow-up to the questionnaire so that the research results are more accurate. The data collected is then analyzed descriptively quantitatively. Based on the results of the analysis, there are 2% of students with a high level of self-confidence, meaning that students are able to think positively, and are active in their learning, 4% are in the low category, meaning students tend to be silent, and shy. 3% are in the medium category, students who are in the medium category tend to be open, and look relaxed. The results of this study can be concluded that self-confidence plays an important role in the continuity of learning. Keywords: Confidence, Students

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji Hubungan antara sikap Overthingking dengan keputusan terhadap karier di kalangan Mahasiswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah para Mahasiswa dengan jumlah partisipisan yang terlibat adalah 101 Mahasiswa dari 21 perguruan tinggi, Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah questioner yang terdiri dari 14 pertanyaan. Adapun proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode platform Google form. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara kuantitatif para mahasiswa mengalami Overthinking dan sulit mengambil keputusan terhadap karier, banyak berpikir menjadi sulit menentukan keputusan dan sedikit kehilangan kepercayaan dan keberanian menggambil keputusan khususnya dalam karier dalam penelitian ini hasil menunjukan pada angka ‘524 yang artinya tingkat overthiking dan keputusan terhadap karier di kalangan mahasiswa ada pada korelasi sedang hal tersebut diukur menggunakan indikator psikologis dan terkait untuk melihat korelasi sikap overthinking dengan keputusan terkait karir dikalangan mahasiswa menggunakan statistik SPSS Pearson. Kata Kunci: Overthingking, Karier, dan Kondisi Psikologis

Abstract

The background of this research is the current pandemic of covid-19 that affected giving service classical guidance in the school. The aim of this research is to know the application of classical guidance services through sociodrama techniques on aggression behavior. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The instruments of this research used data from observation, interviews, and documentation. The subject premier of this research is teacher of guidance and counseling, and students of SMP Negeri 4 Cipatat grade Eight. The secondary subject of this research is the data from the school, such as from the Head School of SMP Negeri 4 Cipatat, the homeroom teacher, and the teacher of guidance and counseling. The results showed that after the giving activity of service classical guidance online through sociodrama technic to the aggression behavior of students, it works well. It can be seen from the capability of the teacher guidance and counseling in applying all stages in the service of classical guidance, starting from the beginning of implementation until finishing or evaluating. Keywords: Classical Guidance, Sociodrama Technic, Aggression Behavior

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the description of students' self-efficacy towards online learning during the covid-19 pandemic. Students who have high self-efficacy will have a passion for learning and be able to survive when facing many school assignments. The phenomenon that occurs during learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, there are some students who experience low self-efficacy. This can be seen from the lack of enthusiasm in learning, easily stressed when many tasks and tend not to do school assignments that have been given. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with the type descriptive research. Data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation studies. The results obtained showed that three students of class XI had low self-efficacy towards learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.Keywords: Student, Self efficacy, Online learning, Covid-19

Abstract

Emotional intelligence is needed by students to face, change and strengthen unpleasant conditions to be natural to face. The components contained in emotional intelligence are: self-awareness, controlling emotions, self-motivation, empathy and social relationships. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of students' emotional intelligence at SMK Kimia Dharma Bhakti. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The sample of this research is 100 students of SMK Kimia Dharma Bhakti. The data collection procedure uses a 24 item emotional intelligence questionnaire. Analysis and processing of emotional intelligence data with the Exel program from Microsoft office, and based on the results of the study show that not all of them have high emotional intelligence. It is proven by the results of the emotional intelligence questionnaire, there are only 18 people who have emotional intelligence in the high category with a percentage of 18%, while 69 people in the medium category with a proportion of 69%, and 13 people in the low category with a percentage of 13%.Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, student

Abstract

Online Career Guidance Services Using Google Class Room and Google Meet for Student Career Independence at YUPPI Soreang Madrasah Aliyah 2020/2021 Academic Year. This study aims to find out how the Implementation, Response and Barriers of Career Guidance services using the Google Class Room and Google Meet applications towards the career independence of students at Madrasah Aliyah YUPPI Soreang Academic Year 2020/2021. The counselee's independence development service which is the basis of the service, guides students in developing the counselee's talents and abilities. The stage of service implementation is to prepare services and mediap applications that will be used in service delivery. Conducted in the form of a service that uses a reality approach, data collection is carried out using qualitative descriptive research. Conducted in 5 meetings, covering four stages of implementation consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted at Madasah Aliyah YUPPI Soreang. The results showed an increase in changes in student behavior activities to become more independent. These results show that online Career Guidance Services using Google Classroom and Google Meet towards student career independence at MA YUPPI Soreang for the 2020/2021 Academic Year have become more independent than before.Keywords: Career Guidance, GoogleClassroom and Meet Applications, Career Independence

Abstract

Online group guidance services are a process of assistance carried out by BK teachers or counselors to students or counselees using online media. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation, student and teacher responses, the difficulties encountered and the obstacles that occurred in the implementation of group guidance services conducted online. The research method used in this study is to use a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study consisted of a primary subject, namely one BK teacher and 4 students, and a secondary subject consisting of the principal and one homeroom teacher. The results of the study indicate that online group guidance services using discussion techniques can help students improve their self-control and students can be wiser in language on social media and can better manage the time when to do assignments and when is the right time to play social media.Keywords: Self-Control of Social Media Users, Group Guidance, Discussion Techniques

Abstract

Today's procrastination is a weakness for students. Environmental temptations make students negligent in carrying out their duties. Procrastination has become an obstacle to student learning progress. How to anticipate procrastination through group guidance services through Zoom Meetings with Self Management Techniques at MTs al Bidayah. The research was conducted with a qualitative approach, data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data processing techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and giving conclusions. The conclusion of the study is that the counselor encourages the counselee to be involved in the group, explains the rules for keeping secrets, creates internal readiness, facilitates to discuss and explore problems. The results of the evaluation showed a change by increasing the obedience of the task. Student responses are positive. The difficulties are students' distrust, family barriers, zoom and signal techniques. Constraints during guidance are counselors who are not categorized as strata 1, counselor communication with the principal, teacher cooperation with counselors, students do not always follow guidance, parents are indifferent to children. Some obstacles are overcome, others require gradual solutions.Keywords: Zoom Meeting, Self Management Technique, Academic Procrastination.
