Fokus publishes original research or theoretical papers about teaching and learning in Guidance and Counseling study program of IKIP Siliwangi Bandung on current science issues, namely: Guidance and Counseling educator in elementary, secondary and high school level. Guidance and Counseling observers and researchers. Educational decisions maker on regional and national level. We recommend classroom action research, qualitative, descriptive, or quantitative. We may process manuscript of didactic development research (DDR) or research and development (RnD). Our publication could be research on teaching method, an experiment of teaching aid or media, and even effectiveness of lesson study. We accepted any manuscript derived from research of Guidance and Counseling in Indonesia. We will not process manuscript from research approach of school management.

Abstract

Discipline is an attitude of obedience and obedience to the rules or regulations that apply with full responsibility without any coercion from anyone. This study aims to determine the description of student discipline at MTs Negeri 4 Bogor. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive type of research. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the low discipline of students against rules at school was caused by a lack of awareness of discipline, not being able to control their own will, managing themselves and lack of attention from parents to motivate and remind them to be orderly, so they do whatever they want.Keywords: Discipline, Students

Abstract

The purpose in this study to find out the picture of student confidence in SmK Kimia Dharma Bhakti, Confidence becomes a very important factor in the development of students in school in this study using many aspects of self-confidence including objectivist, optimistic, responsible, realistic and rational. The methods in this study use quantitative deriftive methods. Participants in this study were students at SmK Kimia Dharma Bhakti as many as 99 people. The procedure in data collection uses a confidence questionnaire of 40 questions. The research conducted showed that the confidence of students in SmK Kimia Dharma Bhakti was as many as 75 students with a percentage of 76% in the moderate category while based on the category of the more dominant aspect of self-confidence there were in the rational aspect, namely 71 students with a percentage of 72%.Keywords:   Selfconfidence, SMKKimia Dharma Bhakti

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between interpersonal communication in understanding gender equality conflicts at PSGA UIN Jakarta. The subject of this study was the PSGA Team at UIN Jakarta with 4 lecturers from 4 Faculties involved. The data collection used was interviews which consisted of in-depth questions about PSGA UIN Jakarta. The data collection process was carried out using the method of visiting directly to the gender and children study room, participating in various activities carried out by the PSGA. The results of the study show that qualitatively the PSGA team always tries to make activities for students in preventing sexual violence and making a flow of handling, and handling it until it's finished, to form an anti-sexual violence task force. The biggest obstacle is that students are afraid to talk and complain about it to PSGA.Keywords:   Gender Equality, Sexual Violence, PSGA

Abstract

Learning independence plays an significant role in edification, in addition to step in as a student's ability to voluntarily carry out learning activities without depending on others. This is done patiently and leads to the achievement of the desired goals of students and also plays a role in making decisions about student learning outcomes and achievements. Therefore, a learning independence measurement tool is needed in the form of a learning independence questionnaire, while it has passed the validity test stage and the credibility test stage. The data collection for this analysis is 30 students of SMAN 1 CIANJUR grade XI. The stage that passed the validity test of the 20 expressions contained 10 questions which were shown to be correct and the validity test received a value of 0.718 while it was meaningfully classified as the outer part. Abstract

Powtoon-based animation media is a component of learning resources that can help students learning process to observe an object that contains a collection of images that are processed in such a way as to produce movement and are equipped with audio that helps students understand the material delivered easily in guidance and counseling services. The purpose of this study is to determine the product development process, determine the feasibility of the product according to experts and practitioners, determine student responses and product effectiveness. The research method used is Research and Development (RD). The participants in this study were media experts, material experts, BK practitioners and students of SMP Negeri 1 Batujajar. The results show that the product that needs to be developed in SMP Negeri 1 Batujajar students is animation based on Powtoon on students learning motivation, the product developed is very feasible to use with percentages according to media experts 100%, material experts 91,96%, and BK practitioners 93,75%, then the product developed obtained a very good student response with a percentage of 88,87% in the model trial and 90,77% in the usage trial, and the product developed was effective on student learning motivation with a pretest percentage of 85,5% and posttest 91,2%.Keywords: Animation Media, Powtoon, Learning Motivation

Abstract

Motivation has a very big influence in learning activities that can support students in achieving good learning outcomes, if students do not have learning motivation, students will not be optimal in carrying out learning activities. This description makes it important to understand learning motivation for students in general and in particular for class VII students at SMPN 9 Cimahi. This study aims to produce animated video media products to provide a concrete understanding of increasing learning motivation. The research method used is research development (RD) with development procedures referring to Borg Gall which are simplified by the Puslitjaknov Team into five stages. The subjects in this study included 1 material expert, 2 media experts, 1 school counselor practitioner, 10 students, and 34 students. The data obtained in this study are quantitative data that refers to the acceptability criteria of the material and the criteria of learning media which are analyzed by descriptive statistics, as well as qualitative data in the form of comments and suggestions on the product. The results obtained based on product validation from material experts reached 96%, media experts at 100%, and school counselor practitioners 96%. Meanwhile, 87% of students' responses were limited and 91% of students' responses were wider in scope. Based on the results of the study, this research can produce a product in the form of an animated video which is empirically proven to be used as a medium for guidance and counseling services. Keywords: Animated Video Media, Animaker, Learning Motivation

Abstract

The development of an information service media about website-based career selection needs to be developed, because the times are developing, the technology is growing too, so researchers develop a website media to help guidance counseling teachers in providing services to students so that it is easier to understand and implement by students. learners. The method used by the researcher is research and development, so that the researcher tests the effectiveness of a product to be developed in guidance and counseling services. The results of the research conducted at SMA N 1 Margasih showed that the development of an information service media product about website-based career selection obtained a result of 89.5% which indicates the research product has a feasibility of very good interpretation or is very suitable for use in guidance and counseling services. .Keywords:Media Development, Website, Career Selection

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of Prezi-based information services in students' career decision-making skills, in connection with Vocational High School (SMK) graduates who are prepared to become "BMW" namely work, continue education and entrepreneurship for students, then SMK students start to take career decisions seriously. This research uses research and development (R and D) methods. The subjects in this study were 10 class XII students of SMK Negeri 1 Cibinong. Product validity tests were carried out by product experts, material experts, practitioners in schools and student responses to Prezi-based information service media. The results showed that the development of Prezi-based career information service media products obtained 96% results, which means the research product has a feasibility in the very good category to be used in providing career information services. Keywords:Career Decision Making, Prezi, Information Services

Abstract

In the learning process at school, we often see students who are less able to process their emotions so that it affects their learning outcomes. Therefore, intellectual intelligence is not the only success of a child but because there are others who influence it. Including the emotional turmoil that is happening in the development of adolescent students. In the development of students, it is not only intellectual intelligence that must be improved but emotional intelligence must also be developed because adolescents must be able to adapt and manage emotions to changes that occur. In this study, researchers describe emotional intelligence. The purpose of this study was to describe the emotional intelligence of 8th grade students at MTs Persis Tarogong Garut. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The results of this study indicate that the category of emotional intelligence of 8th grade students of MTs Persis Tarogong is in the medium category.Keywords:Emotional Intelligence, Junior High School students

Abstract

Career planning is very important for vocational high school students for future success. SMK students begin to plan for the future with what they hope to make the right career decisions in the future. The purpose of this study is to improve students' career planning skills through career guidance by using E-Module media support for students. This study uses a pre-experimental method with the research design of One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Participants in this study were students of class XI SMKN 1 Cipanas. The sampling technique was simple random sampling and 36 students of class XI OTKP 2 were selected. Methods of data collection using career planning instruments. The analysis used is the Paired Sample T-Test formula. The results of the research show that career guidance with the use of E-Modules can improve career planning skills which can be seen from the significant difference from the average before guidance of 123 and the average after career guidance of 146. E-Modules can improve the career planning skills of class XI SMKN 1 Cipanas.Keywords: Career Planning, Career Guidance, E-Module Media
