Fokus publishes original research or theoretical papers about teaching and learning in Guidance and Counseling study program of IKIP Siliwangi Bandung on current science issues, namely: Guidance and Counseling educator in elementary, secondary and high school level. Guidance and Counseling observers and researchers. Educational decisions maker on regional and national level. We recommend classroom action research, qualitative, descriptive, or quantitative. We may process manuscript of didactic development research (DDR) or research and development (RnD). Our publication could be research on teaching method, an experiment of teaching aid or media, and even effectiveness of lesson study. We accepted any manuscript derived from research of Guidance and Counseling in Indonesia. We will not process manuscript from research approach of school management.

Abstract

Career decision making is a selection process from a variety of existing career options, whichcan be taken based on self-understanding, one's personality, and self-motivation. It can includeeducation as well as entering a training program, applying for a job, upgrading a job, changingpositionsorenteringanewjob.ThereasonforthisreviewwastodecidetheviabilityofgatheringdirectionadministrationsutilizingpretendingprocedurestofurtherdeveloptheprofessionthinkingabilitiesofclassXIIatSMKCendekia.Thereweretwogroupsandaquasi-experimentalnon-equivalent control group design in this study. This exploration was directed on 20 class XIIunderstudies who were partitioned into an exploratory gathering and a benchmark group. TheinformationassortmentstrategyutilizedwasaconfidencepollalludingtoKrumboltz'shypothesis. Using SPSS version 25 and a gain score, quantitative data analysis methods wereapplied to the data. This study's n-gain test results show that the experimental group's averagevalueis58.6%,whichisconsideredmoderatelyeffective.Meanwhile,therunofthemillworthofthebenchmarkbunchinthen-gaintestwas35.9%,whichwasintheineffectiveclass.Soitmightbe assumed that pack course organizations using imagining techniques are truly feasible inadditional creatingoccupation decisiveabilitiestoreasonfor classXII atSMKCendekia.

Abstract

This study was conducted on students of Class VIII, SMPN 2 Batujajar Teaching Year 2022–2023. This study aims to improve students' attitudes of responsibility through group instruction services using problem solving techniques among students in Grade VIII, SMPN2, Batujajar. The method used in research is a mix method, or a combination method between quantitative and qualitative research. A sequential explanatory model is a method that precedes quantitative research and is followed by qualitative research. The data gathering technique used for quantitative research involves using a spread in the form of an angket that has been validated by experts. For the collection of qualitative data using the observation guidelines and interviews with the BK teacher and four students in the 8th grade.Research subjects have a total of 21 students in the experimental class and 21 students in the control class. The results of this study showed that group guidance services with problem solving techniques to improve the attitude of responsibility of students of class VIII SMPN 2 Batujajar have been implemented well.According to the results of the N-Gain test score calculation, the average N-Win score for the experimental class is 68, 1304, or 68% of the students are in the "Really Effective" group.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the profile or general picture regarding the use of Instagram which is currently popular among teenage students, as well as reducing the level of dependence experienced by teenage students. In this study, the approach used is quantitative with descriptive methods. Sampling was used by random sampling with a total sample of 106 students from one class X Mechatronics department at SMK Negeri 2 Cimahi. The aim of this research is to determine the profile of Instagram dependence among students. There are aspects that are the basis for knowing Instagram dependence, including 4 aspects, namely, Tolerance, Mood Modification, Replase, Conflict. Data collection techniques by conducting an instrument distribution in the form of a questionnaire to students who are the research sample. The research results show that students with Instagram dependence in class X mechatronics are in the High category 15%, Low category 16%, and in the Medium category 69%. After knowing the level of dependence on Instagram among students, the next step is to design programs and provide services based on the results of this research. In providing services, students are directed to carry out interviews to find out whether the services provided are acceptable to students and whether students experience a decrease in their use of Instagram. The next step is to give the posttest to students again so that a comparison can be carried out, so that it can be seen that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted so that it can be concluded that the group guidance service is declared effective

Abstract

This research was conducted because of problems in student motivation experienced by SMP Al-Tamimi students, resulting in students finding it difficult to focus on subjects or enthusiasm for learning. Therefore, students need to have learning motivation to increase their learning motivation. The subjects in this study were 10 class 1X students of SMP Al-Tamimi who had difficulty focusing on learning or increasing their enthusiasm for learning. The method that researchers use is the Research and Development (R&D) method. As for data collection in this study using a questionnaire which is calculated by the percentage description formula. The validation process was carried out with experts, namely media experts, materials and practitioners. After going through the media flyer validation process it is very feasible to be tested with an average score of 67% for media experts, 60% for material experts and 71% for practitioner experts. Questionnaire instrument for data collection as many as 28 items of learning motivation questionnaire statements. based on the results of research on class 1X students of SMP Al-Tamimi before receiving media flyer guidance services in the low category with a percentage score of 39%. And the site that has been given services with media flyers increases with a percentage score of 70% so that it can be categorized as very high. As for the results of the limited scale test with 10 subjects getting an average score of 70% in the very high category and the results of the wide scale test or sample of 33 people getting an average score of 83% in the very high category.

Abstract

The background of this research is the high conformity of truant behavior in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Cipeundeuy. The purpose of this study was to find out the conformity of truant behavior before being given service, the implementation of the service and the effectiveness of group guidance services using the Cinematherapy technique to reduce the conformity of truant behavior in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Cipeundeuy. In this study using the Mix Methode with the explanatory sequential design. This design is the use of two quantitative and qualitative research methods sequentially (sequence). The population of this study was 100 students using a purposive sampling technique, namely 8 students who had a high conformity category based on the results of the pre-test. Quantitative data were collected using a conformity questionnaire for truant behavior, then for qualitative data using observation and interview techniques. The results of this study indicate that the majority are in the medium category, namely 72%, and the implementation of group guidance services using cinematherapy techniques is effective in reducing truant behavior conformity, which originally was in the high category to become low after being given group guidance services using cinematherapy techniques for two meetings.

Abstract

The study aims to find out the influence of audio-visual media in the form of cinematic video to provide information services regarding understanding puberty in girls at SMPN 1 Majalaya which is described into problem formula; 1) The process of developing audio-visual media as an information service; 2) eligibility test of the developed audio visual media; 3) student response to the resulting audio visual media and 4) knowing the effectiveness of the product. The type of research used is a research development or often called Research and Development (R&D). Research and Development research is a research method used to make a product and validate the product so that it is tested by expert validators, namely media experts, material experts and practitioners. The subjects in this study 6 students for limited trials and 10 students for extensive trials all are girls of class VII SMPN 1 Majalaya and have been sampled using purposive sampling that is undergoing puberty. Based on the test results from validators that audio visual media in the form of video information services has an average percentage of 94%, and according to criteria it has been determined that the product is well worth using after the revised results. The results of observation and interviews to teachers and students show a high degree of enthusiasm for the development of video media of this information service to the understanding of puberty. It is related to self-awareness consisting of three aspects: emotional intelligence, personal values and self-evaluation

Abstract

Home room technique group guidance is the creation of a family atmosphere in group guidance services so that students are comfortable and not awkward when discussing. Comfort in a family atmosphere makes the topic of sexuality education no longer taboo to discuss. This study aims to improve the understanding of sexuality education in order to prevent the occurrence of risky sexual behavior of adolescents who are dating. This research method is a mixed method explanatory design. The sample of the study was 8 students of grade VIII of PGRI Ganjar Sabar Junior High School. The results of this study show that through the implementation of group guidance of home room techniques, it can improve the sexuality education of learners. Evidenced by the results of the t test which obtained a significance value of 2 tailed, which is 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance using psychodrama techniques to increase the self-efficacy of class VIII MTS students. This study uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach. The total population in this study was 120 students of class VIII MTS Nurul Hidayah Miftahurroja with a sample of 12 students as the experimental group and 12 students as the control group. The research instrument used a questionnaire and observation sheet. Self-efficacy data were collected using a pretest-posttest questionnaire. The hypothesis test is seen from the results of the Independent sample t-test and to measure service effectiveness with the gain test. The results showed that there was effectiveness in group guidance using psychodrama techniques to increase students' self-efficacy from the results of the hypothesis test with a Sig (2-tailed) value found in Equal variance assumed worth 0.000 with a significance level of 0.05 (α=5%) . The results of the self-efficacy gain test obtained an n-gain score of 0.7750 in the high category and a percent n-gain of 77.5% in the effective category. Thus the gain results show that group counseling with the psychodrama technique is effectively used in increasing student self-efficacy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of group counseling services with cognitive restructuring techniques in reducing student academic stress which refers to the inability of students to cope with academic stress experienced. Academic stress according to Gadzella & Masten (2005) is the perception of an individual with academic stressors and how they react to academic stressors including reactions to physical, emotional, behavioral and cognitive. The research method used is a mix method design The Explanatory sequence Design using the One Group Pretest-posttest Design. 94 students majoring in fashion at SMKN 3 Cimahi became subjects and 9 students who had been selected as research samples. Sampling according to predetermined criteria according to purposive sampling technique. Purposive Sampling according to Sugoyono (2019) is a sampling technique with predetermined criteria. The measuring instrument used is the academic stress instrument with a reliability test result of 0.878. Paired t test results in a Sig(2-tailed) value containing 0.000<0.05, which means that the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected, indicating that group counseling using cognitive restructuring techniques has an impact on lowering academic stress in class X students at the Fashion Department of SMKN 3 Cimahi. It is therefore concluded that group guidance services using cognitive restructuring techniques can lower student academic stress.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of group counseling services using role playing techniques in reducing burnout in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Cipatat. The variables in this study were group guidance with role playing techniques and learning burnout. The burnout theory used is based on the theory of Maslach and Jackson (1981). The research method used is a mixed method with an explanatory sequential design. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study was 10 class VIII students. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires (pretest and posttest) and analyzed by T-test while qualitative data were collected through observation and interviews which were analyzed using data reduction. The results of the quantitative data showed that there was a decrease in student learning burnout through group guidance services. role playing technique with a significance value (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05. So it can be concluded that group guidance services with role playing techniques are effective in reducing learning burnout for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Cipatat. From the results of qualitative data, it shows that there are obstacles from students and counseling teachers.
