Abstract

This study discusses the effect of live music on customer satisfaction and increased sales at Bento Kopi Cafe. This cafe is located in Cimahi, and has utilized live music as an attraction for customers. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the influence of live music on customer satisfaction and its impact on increasing sales. The method used is descriptive quantitative, with data collection through questionnaires to 100 respondents. With the sampling technique carried out by purposive sampling method with the condition that customers have come on a day with live music and a day without live music. The data collection technique used in this research is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study is linear regression.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the factors that influence the success of E-commerce businesses in micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the fashion sector in the city of Bandung, with a case study on Wordgroot. Data was collected through interviews with 105 respondents using a 5 Likert scale-based questionnaire. The results of the analysis show that E-commerce has a positive and significant influence on the performance of MSMEs, which is explained by the R² value of 76.2%. E-commerce has been proven to increase operational efficiency, product validity and expand markets. This research identifies that digital literacy, product innovation and infrastructure support and government policies are important factors in ensuring the sustainability of digital-based businesses. Thus, adopting E-commerce is the main strategy for MSMEs to increase competitiveness in the modern era. Keywords: E-commerce, MSMEs, business performance, digitalization, fashion sector

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of innovation and ability on competitive advantage, mediated by creativity, at Brand Ice Cream & Tea XYZ in Cikarang. XYZ is a fictitious name used to maintain the confidentiality of the real business studied in this research. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire with 74 respondents selected purposively. The results show that innovation significantly affects competitive advantage, both directly and through creativity as a mediating variable. However, ability only affects creativity and does not have a direct impact on competitive advantage. The survey also revealed significant dissatisfaction among respondents regarding the impact of innovation and ability on the competitive position of Brand Ice Cream & Tea XYZ in Cikarang. This indicates the need for improvements in innovation, ability, and product differentiation to strengthen market position and competitiveness amidst the growing number of competitors. This study contributes to understanding the dynamics of competitive advantage in the food and beverage industry.

Abstract

Digital transformation has fundamentally changed the financial services sector, demanding the presence of skilled digital talent capable of adapting to and leveraging technologies such as Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. This research aims to explore the role of higher education in developing the digital talent necessary to accelerate digital transformation in this sector. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive research design with a literature review approach. The literature review was conducted by collecting articles from reputable international journals indexed in Scopus that align with the research objectives over the past five years (2019-2024) using the Publish or Perish (PoP) application. Content analysis was then performed to identify the challenges and opportunities in creating a relevant curriculum for developing digital talent in the financial services sector in Indonesia through higher education, as well as how this can support the acceleration of digital transformation. The results indicate that collaboration between higher education and industry, along with government policy support, is crucial for creating a competitive and innovative financial ecosystem. This research recommends the development of educational programs that emphasize digital skills and adaptive capabilities to meet the ever-evolving market needs.

Abstract

With the advancement of the economy and technology, the business world is also experiencing rapid growth with the emergence of various companies striving to create products and services to meet customer needs when making purchasing decisions. The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the influence of word of mouth and location on purchasing decisions at MM Food Court Tabalong. The research method used in this study employs a quantitative descriptive approach; the population and sample consist of 56 respondents selected through random sampling techniques. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires, and the data analysis utilized statistical tests. The results of the study indicate that word of mouth and location have an influence on purchasing decisions, with the magnitude of the influence being 28.2%, and the remaining 71.8% attributed to variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

Digital marketing has become a key element in marketing strategies for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the impact of digital marketing on the success of MSME businesses, especially in increasing sales and brand awareness. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of digital marketing strategies including the use of social media, e-commerce, and search engine optimization (SEO) significantly contributes to increasing MSME revenue and competitiveness. In addition, digital marketing also makes it easier for MSMEs to reach wider consumers and increase interaction with customers. Thus, the adoption of appropriate digital marketing can be a determining factor for the success of MSMEs in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of Customer Satisfaction and Brand Trust on Customer Retention of Telkomsel prepaid card products among visitors to Grapari Graha Merah Putih Medan. This research used a purposive sampling method with 200 respondents using Telkomsel prepaid cards. The data collection technique used was distributing questionnaires whose measurements used an Ordinal scale and were processed statistically using multiple regression analysis and processed with the SPSS 30.0 for Windows program. Data analysis uses the F test and t test for hypothesis testing and multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that: (1) Customer Satisfaction partially has an influence of 32.4% on Customer Retention, (2) Brand Trust partially has an influence of 38% on Customer Retention and Customer Satisfaction, Brand Trust simultaneously influences Customer Retention. The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.628, which means that Customer Satisfaction and Brand Trust have an influence of 62.8% on Customer Retention, the remaining 38.2% is influenced by other variables not included in the research.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of workload and work-life balance on competitive advantage, with digital skills serving as a mediating variable. Utilizing a quantitative approach with causal design, data were collected and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) methodology. The findings reveal that both workload and work-life balance significantly influence competitive advantage. Moreover, digital skills partially mediate these relationships, with work-life balance showing a stronger mediation effect compared to workload. These results highlight the importance of managing workload, fostering work-life balance, and enhancing employees' digital skills as strategic measures to improve organizational competitiveness in a rapidly evolving business environment. This study provides insights for Homedoki Company to develop effective strategies aimed at enhancing employee well-being and sustaining market competitiveness.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of digital skills and career development on employee performance with ability as a mediator at PT KSB Indonesia. Using a non-probability simple random sampling method, 86 respondents were surveyed. The research utilized the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method (SmartPLS 3.0 software) for data analysis. The results indicate that digital skills and career development significantly improve employee performance and ability. Furthermore, ability mediates the relationship between digital skills, career development, and employee performance, strengthening the overall impact. This study highlights the importance of designing effective digital skills and career development programs to enhance employee performance at PT KSB Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of emotional intelligence and the learning environment on the level of learning comprehension, with ability serving as a mediating variable. The primary focus of this research is on the management students from the 2022 cohort at Pelita Bangsa University. In the digital era and online learning environment, achieving a deep understanding of course material has become a major challenge for students. It is believed that strong emotional intelligence and a supportive learning environment can enhance learning effectiveness and comprehension. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, employing purposive sampling to select 117 respondents. Data was collected through a questionnaire that measured emotional intelligence, learning environment, ability, and learning comprehension. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that both emotional intelligence and the learning environment significantly influence learning comprehension through the mediation of ability. The findings offer valuable insights into how emotional and environmental factors, when supported by ability, can improve the quality of student learning at Pelita Bangsa University. This study also highlights the importance of developing students' adaptive abilities to enhance their understanding of material in the era of online learning.
