Abstract

Otopart Car Workshop in Sarolangun Regency still manages service reservation and customer visit services conventionally, resulting in inefficient physical queues, lack of service status transparency, and difficulty accessing services for customers who need on-site service. This study aims to design and develop a web-based information system called BengkelConnect. The system was developed using the Laravel framework with MVC architecture and MySQL database, deployed on Vercel with Supabase as the production database. Key features include online booking, real-time service status tracking, Static QRIS payment, and digital service history recording. Testing was conducted using Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Black Box Testing results showed all system functions ran without functional errors. UAT results from 11 respondents yielded a user acceptance rate of 79.55% categorized as Good.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the feasibility and practicality of developing interactive multimedia for the Retail Business Management subject for Grade XI students. The interactive multimedia was designed using an interactive and contextual approach by integrating multimedia elements such as videos, audio, images, and interactive quizzes to enhance students' active engagement in learning the Retail Business Management subject. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) development model. The study was conducted at SMK Negeri 50 Jakarta with Grade XI Retail Business students. The results of the development indicate that the learning media can improve students' learning motivation. The implementation and testing of the learning media at SMK Negeri 50 Jakarta demonstrated its effectiveness in enhancing students' learning motivation in the Retail Business Management subject. The use of this learning media is expected to address the limited availability of instructional media in schools while also increasing students' engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

This development research was motivated by fifth-grade elementary school students’ limited understanding of the digestive system and the scarcity of learning materials. The results of the needs analysis indicated that students require engaging digital media to help them understand the concepts of the digestive system. This study aims to produce a PBL-based digital learning kit that is valid, practical for teachers to use, and engaging for students. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The product consists of problem-based digital modules designed to enhance students’ motivation, enthusiasm for learning, and engagement. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires, with a pilot test conducted at SDN Lowokwaru 5. The results showed 90.6% content validity, 100% media validity, 96.6% practicality, and 98.7% appeal. Based on these results, the PBL-based digital learning kit was deemed highly valid, practical, and suitable for use in IPAS instruction.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students on the topic of length measurement units and the limited use of innovative instructional media at MI Podorejo Sumbergempol. Conventional teaching methods and the reliance on textbooks and worksheets resulted in low student engagement and difficulties in understanding abstract concepts. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the needs for developing Magic Stairs learning media, describe its design and development process, examine its implementation, and evaluate its effectiveness in improving students’ learning outcomes. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The product was validated by media experts, subject matter experts, and a classroom teacher before being implemented through small-group and large-group trials. The findings indicated that the Magic Stairs learning media was highly feasible for classroom use, with validation scores of 90.5% from the media expert, 100% from the material expert, and 98.8% from the classroom teacher. The implementation of the media significantly improved students’ mathematics achievement, as evidenced by the increase in the mean score from 25.50 in the pre-test to 97.00 in the post-test. The Paired Sample t-test revealed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between students’ achievement before and after using the media. Furthermore, the average N-Gain score of 0.9630 (96.30%) was categorized as high, confirming that the Magic Stairs learning media is effective in improving students’ understanding and learning outcomes on the topic of length measurement units.

Abstract

Islamic Education in the National Education System is a central topic in the development of education in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the position and role of Islamic Education in the National Education System in Indonesia based on Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System (Sisdiknas). This research uses a qualitative approach with library research method by examining various primary and secondary sources related to Islamic education and national education policy. The results of the study indicate that Islamic Education has a strong legal foundation in the National Education System and plays a strategic role in building student character. However, challenges remain in curriculum integration, teacher quality, and funding equity. Strengthening Islamic Education requires synergy between government, educational institutions, and the community to achieve national education goals. It is concluded that Islamic Education is an integral part of the National Education System and contributes significantly to the formation of a faithful, pious, and noble human being.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of basic reading literacy skills for elementary school students as a foundation for understanding various information and supporting the learning process. Reading literacy skills relate not only to the ability to read texts but also to the ability to comprehend reading, find information, evaluate reading, and develop reading habits. However, in practice, some students still experience difficulties in comprehending reading content and processing information from the texts they read. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the basic reading literacy skills of second-grade students at Sendangguwo 01 Public Elementary School, Semarang City. This study used a qualitative approach with field research. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data sources included the principal, second-grade teachers, and second-grade students at Sendangguwo 01 Public Elementary School, Semarang City. Data validity was verified through source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results indicate that the basic reading literacy skills of second-grade students at Sendangguwo 01 Public Elementary School, Semarang City have developed quite well. Most students are able to read simple texts, understand the content, find information, answer questions based on the reading, and retell the content in their own words. Factors inhibiting basic reading literacy skills include differences in student reading ability, lack of independent reading habits, difficulty understanding information in reading, and limited literacy facilities. Supporting factors for basic reading literacy skills include the role of teachers in providing guidance, developing reading habits, student interest in literacy activities, school environmental support, and family involvement.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low understanding of students on Cartesian coordinates material indicated by difficulties in determining point positions, reading coordinate pairs, and distinguishing abscissas and ordinates. This condition results in low student learning outcomes on Cartesian coordinates material. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using the Coordinate Treasure Map media as an interactive learning media in improving the understanding of Cartesian coordinates in sixth grade elementary school students. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method through a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects were 24 sixth grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Liliefors normality test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results of the study showed that the average pretest score of 64.54 increased to 80.21 in The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 6.12 > t_table = 2.07 which indicated a significant increase in understanding after the use of the media. The N-Gain analysis obtained a value of 0.40, categorized as moderate or quite effective with a percentage of 40%. The results of the questionnaire and interviews showed that students responded positively to the use of the media because it was able to increase motivation, activeness, and ease in understanding the concept of coordinates. Thus, the Coordinate Treasure Map media was effective in improving the understanding of Cartesian coordinates in sixth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas X di MAS Al-Ittihadiyah serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung, faktor penghambat, dan dampak penerapannya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif fenomenologis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa masih tergolong rendah, ditandai dengan kurangnya keaktifan, rendahnya partisipasi, dan kurangnya fokus dalam pembelajaran. Guru PAI menerapkan berbagai strategi, seperti metode ceramah yang dipadukan dengan tanya jawab, pendekatan personal, pemberian nasihat, penggunaan media pembelajaran, serta penerapan disiplin melalui sanksi yang bersifat edukatif. Faktor pendukung meliputi hubungan yang baik antara guru dan siswa, dukungan sekolah, serta tersedianya sarana pembelajaran, sedangkan faktor penghambat berasal dari rendahnya minat belajar siswa, kondisi keluarga dan ekonomi, serta pengaruh lingkungan. Penerapan strategi tersebut memberikan dampak positif secara bertahap terhadap kedisiplinan, keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran, dan pengamalan nilai-nilai keagamaan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Abstract

Kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting yang harus dimiliki peserta didik di madrasah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an siswa kelas VII di MTs Alwashliyah 16 Perbaungan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap pelaksanaan program pembelajaran Al-Qur’an di sekolah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sekolah menerapkan pemetaan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an bagi siswa baru yang dikelompokkan ke dalam beberapa tingkatan, mulai dari siswa yang belum mampu membaca Al-Qur’an hingga siswa yang telah mampu membaca dengan lagu dan tilawah. Berdasarkan pemetaan tersebut, sebagian besar siswa berada pada tingkat membaca yang cukup lancar, sedangkan siswa yang masih mengalami kesulitan mendapatkan pembinaan melalui program Klinik Al-Qur’an yang berfokus pada perbaikan tajwid, makharijul huruf, dan kelancaran membaca. Selain itu, sekolah menyelenggarakan mata pelajaran Tahsin bagi seluruh siswa kelas VII hingga IX sebagai upaya peningkatan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an secara berkelanjutan. Evaluasi kemampuan membaca dilakukan secara berkala untuk memantau perkembangan siswa. Dengan demikian, peran guru melalui pemetaan kemampuan, pembinaan dalam program Klinik Al-Qur’an , dan pembelajaran Tahsin berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an siswa di MTs 16 Perbaungan.

Abstract

Emerging adulthood is a developmental phase particularly vulnerable to mental health risk, partly driven by the intensity of social comparison on social media. This study aimed to examine the relationship between social comparison on social media and self-compassion among emerging adults. A quantitative correlational design with purposive sampling was employed, involving 377 emerging adults aged 18-25 years residing in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek) who actively use social media. Social comparison was measured using the Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Measure (INCOM) adapted by Fuad (2023), while self-compassion was measured using the Indonesian Self-Compassion Scale (SWD) adapted by Sugianto et al. (2020). Because the residual data were not normally distributed based on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, hypothesis testing was conducted using Spearman's Rho non-parametric correlation. Results showed a significant, strong negative relationship between social comparison and self-compassion (r = -.731; p = .000). Social comparison correlated strongly and negatively with all positive dimensions of self-compassion, the strongest being common humanity (r = -.663), and positively with all its negative dimensions, the strongest being self-judgment (r = .616). Significant differences in social comparison were found by gender, and in self-compassion by daily social media use duration. These findings underscore the importance of self-compassion-based psychological interventions to reduce the negative impact of social comparison among emerging-adult social media users.
