Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve the poetry writing skills of Grade X Accounting 1 students at SMK Negeri 10 Surabaya through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The initial problem was indicated by students' low performance in developing ideas, selecting diction, using figurative language, and organizing coherent stanzas. The study employed the Kemmis and McTaggart classroom action research design consisting of a pre-cycle and two action cycles: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through poetry-writing performance tests and analyzed descriptively by comparing the mean scores across stages. The results showed a gradual improvement from 62.86 in the pre-cycle to 68.29 in Cycle I and 84.43 in Cycle II. The pattern demonstrates that improvement was achieved through iterative actions and refinements rather than occurring immediately. Thus, PjBL can be used as an alternative learning model to support students' creativity and poetry-writing skills.

Abstract

The effect of occupational safety and health program implementation on the performance of production dapartement employees at PT XYZ.This study aims to determine the effect of occupational safety and occupational health implementation on the performance of production employees at PT XYZ This research employs a quantitative approach, with primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to production employees of PT XYZ The variables in this study consist of occupational safety and occupational health as independent variables and employee performance as the dependent variable. The collected data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), including validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, f-test, and coefficient of determination. The results of this study are expected to indicate the extent to which the implementation of occupational safety and occupational health affects the performance of production employees. This research is expected to provide practical benefits for the company as an evaluation reference for improving the implementation of occupational safety and health and creating a safe and healthy working environment that can support the improvement of employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based decision support system to assist SDI Insan Cendikia in selecting exemplary students through a more structured, measurable, and transparent process. The previous selection process was conducted conventionally by considering several criteria, which required substantial processing time and created potential subjectivity and data-processing errors. The study applies the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine criterion priority weights and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) to normalize student scores and rank alternatives. The system was developed using PHP with the CodeIgniter 4 framework and MySQL database. The assessment criteria include academic achievement, tahfidz, discipline, and attitude and behavior. The AHP results produced priority weights of 0.4444 for academic achievement, 0.2222 for tahfidz, 0.1111 for discipline, and 0.2222 for attitude and behavior. A Consistency Ratio (CR) of 0% indicates that the pairwise comparison matrix is consistent. SAW was then applied to normalize student scores and calculate the final preference values. Black Box Testing showed that all major system functions operated successfully with a 100% success rate. The resulting system can automate score processing and produce student rankings more quickly, systematically, and transparently.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of business capital and MSME business behavior on entrepreneurial success in Jatikramat, Bekasi, both partially and simultaneously. The study used a quantitative survey approach. The population consisted of 50 MSME actors, and all members of the population were included as the sample through saturation sampling. Primary data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire, interviews, and literature review. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS through validity, reliability, classical assumption, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination analyses. The results show that business capital has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial success, with a t-value of 6.129 exceeding the t-table value of 2.012 and a significance level of 0.000. MSME business behavior also has a positive and significant effect, with a t-value of 6.076 exceeding 2.012 and a significance level of 0.000. Simultaneously, business capital and MSME business behavior significantly affect entrepreneurial success, with an F-value of 52.437 exceeding the F-table value of 3.20 and a significance level below 0.001. The R Square value of 0.691 indicates that the two independent variables jointly explain 69.1% of the variation in entrepreneurial success, while the remaining 30.9% is explained by other factors outside the study.

Abstract

This research was motivated by problems identified by the researcher in the field, namely that the early reading skills of children aged 5-6 years hat not yet developed optimally. This was indicated by the fact that some children still experienced difficulties in recognizing letter symbols, distinguishing similar letters, reading syllables, understanding the relationship between words and pictures, and reading words. This study aimed to determine the extent to which the use of a Literacy Box Media made from used Cardboard influenced the early reading skills of children at Kemala Bhayangkari 03 Alai Kindergarten, Padang City. This research employed a quantitiative approach using an experimental method ehit a Quasi-Experimental design. The population of this study consisted of Group B children at Kelama Bhayangkari 03 Alai Kindergarten, Padang. The Sampling tecnique used was Cluster Sampling, wirh class B4 as the control class and B% as the experiment class, each consisting of 14 children. Data were collected through tests, observations, and dokumentation. Data analysis tecniques included the N-Gain test, normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis testing, and effect size test. The results showed that the average N-Gain score of the experimental class was 0.73, which was categorized as high, while the control class obtained an average N-Gain score of 0.36, which was categorized as moderate. Based on the hypothesis testing results, the t-value was 6.643 with a significance value of <0.001. This result indicates that the significance value was <0.05, meaning that there was a significant difference in the early reading skills of children between the experimental and control classes. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of a literacy box media made from used cardboard had a significant effect on the early reading skills of children aged 5–6 years at Kemala Bhayangkari 03 Alai Kindergarten, Padang City.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in regional economic development, yet many business actors still face difficulties in understanding business licensing procedures. This study analyzes the implementation of the Online Single Submission Risk Based Approach (OSS-RBA) in facilitating MSME business licensing in Bengkulu City, identifies supporting and inhibiting factors, and formulates measures to improve service effectiveness. The study uses an empirical legal method with a juridical-sociological approach, supported by legislation, scholarly literature, government documents, and official service data. The analysis shows that OSS-RBA simplifies access to business legality through electronic services and the issuance of a Business Identification Number (NIB). Bengkulu City recorded 9,016 NIBs from January to early December 2024, including 8,989 micro and small enterprises. However, substantive accessibility remains constrained by digital literacy, understanding of KBLI and risk levels, infrastructure, sectoral licensing, and the need for assistance. Effective implementation therefore requires reliable digital systems, legal certainty, capable officers, and user-oriented assistance.

Abstract

Education has a strategic role in the development of Islamic civilization, including during the Umayyad Dynasty. This study aims to analyze the education curriculum implemented during that period and the role of educational institutions such as Dar Al-Arqam, Kuttab, and Mosques in shaping knowledgeable and morally upright Muslim generations. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with a literature study from various historical and Islamic education sources. The results indicate that the Umayyad curriculum emphasized strengthening faith (aqidah), teaching the Qur’an, Hadith, fiqh, Arabic language, as well as the development of morals, manners, and character of learners. Educational institutions functioned systematically and complementarily, producing Muslim generations with knowledge, moral exemplarity, and social competence. The educational values of the Umayyad period remain relevant to contemporary Islamic education, particularly in integrating religious and general knowledge, character development, and the reinforcement of morality, ethics, and social responsibility. This study provides valuable insights for developing a holistic and contextual modern Islamic education curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Scout extracurricular activities in improving the learning achievement of fourth-grade students at SDN Sukamanah 01 Jonggol. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving the principal, Scout instructors, parents, and students. The findings indicate that Scout planning is systematically integrated with the Annual Work Plan (RKT) and the Subdistrict Scout Branch program. Implementation is carried out through weekly training, General and Special Proficiency Requirements (SKU/SKK) assessments, and periodic evaluations every three months. Crucially, the study reveals a strong integration between Scout activities and Class IV academic subjects, particularly in Science and Social Studies (IPAS), Mathematics, and Indonesian Language, which directly supports cognitive achievement. Supporting factors include instructors certified in Basic Scout Leader Courses (KMD), village government support, and active parental involvement. Conversely, inhibiting factors encompass students' financial limitations, diverse developmental characteristics, and limited facilities. The study concludes that Scout extracurricular activities play a significant role in enhancing students' learning achievement by fostering discipline, responsibility, and self-confidence, provided there is strong collaboration among the school, family, and community

Abstract

Educational quality is a central concern because the quality of educational services determines the development of students and the competitiveness of human resources. This article aims to examine the concept of educational evaluation, educational quality auditing, and evaluation management as an effort to improve educational quality. The article uses a qualitative descriptive approach through library research. Data were obtained from literature used in the discussion of educational evaluation and quality assurance, then analyzed through identification, classification, interpretation, and synthesis of relevant concepts. The results show that educational evaluation is a systematic process of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information based on predetermined criteria for decision making and continuous improvement. Educational quality auditing functions to assess the conformity of educational services with established quality standards by examining inputs, processes, and outputs. Effective evaluation requires comprehensive, comparative, continuous, objective, valid, functional, and diagnostic principles. In addition, quality improvement requires management functions involving planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, and following up evaluation findings. Leadership also has an important role in optimizing school resources and building a culture of continuous improvement. Therefore, evaluation and audit should not be treated merely as administrative activities, but as integrated instruments for evidence-based decision making and sustainable quality improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of group counseling using Interest and Talent Card media based on John L. Holland's RIASEC theory in improving the growth mindset of senior high school students. The research employed a Guidance and Counseling Action Research (PTBK) design involving 8 tenth-grade students at SMA Muhammadiyah 10 who exhibited low growth mindset scores. Data were collected using Carol S. Dweck’s 16-item Mindset Instrument administered before and after the intervention. Group counseling was implemented across 3 sessions focusing on RIASEC personality exploration, growth mindset internalizing, and goal setting. The results showed a significant increase in students' growth mindset scores from the pre-intervention assessment, achieving the success criterion where 100% of participants reached the high growth mindset category. These findings confirm that group counseling with interactive career media effectively shifts students' fixed mindsets toward trainable capability beliefs.
