Abstract

The aim of this research is to obtain a description of thematic learning applied to slow learner students in Inclusive Schools which includes planning, implementation and evaluation. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observation and documentation. The analysis method used has three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and verification. The results of this research show that the implementation of thematic learning for slow learner students in inclusive schools is: 1) at the planning stage the activities include preparing learning tools such as academic calendars, program calendars for children with special needs, lesson plans, learning media, teaching modules, assessment plans for slow learner children . 2) at the implementation stage, the implementation of thematic learning for slow learner students in inclusive schools has gone well and adapted to the conditions that occur among slow learner students. 3) the learning evaluation stage in the class includes formative and summative assessments. The assessment given to slow learner students is different from others. The thematic learning given to slow learner students in inclusive schools has a positive impact. Slow learner students get the opportunity to study with their peers on various themes studied.

Abstract

This research aims to determine students' initial reading difficulties, and overcome the initial reading difficulties of grade 1 students at SDN 010 Bukit Kauman, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This type of research is research that uses a qualitative research method research approach based on the philosophy of postpositivism. The instruments of this research are tests, observation sheets, interview sheets, and documentation review sheets. Data were analyzed based on Miles and Huberman's theory with a sequence of steps for data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results obtained from this research are: The results obtained from this research are the challenges of students' initial reading, the factors causing students' initial reading difficulties and teacher strategies to help students overcome students' initial reading in class 1 of SD Negeri 010 Bukit Kauman, Kuantan Singingi Regency. Students' initial reading challenges include; difficulty identifying letters, difficulty spelling words with diphthongs, consonants and affixes, stuttering and mispronouncing words. Factors causing initial reading difficulties are intellectual, contextual and psychological factors. The strategies for overcoming students' initial reading challenges are the use of learning materials, motivational counseling and individual reading sessions.

Abstract

The integration of technology in early childhood language acquisition poses both challenges and opportunities. This study investigates how digital tools can support or hinder language development among young children. The primary objective is to identify effective technological strategies that facilitate linguistic growth and to assess potential drawbacks. Methodologically, this research adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys with preschool educators and qualitative interviews with parents. Additionally, digital interaction sessions with children were analyzed to observe real-time responses and engagement levels with language-learning technologies. The findings reveal that while technology, such as interactive apps and virtual story sessions, significantly enhances vocabulary acquisition and engagement levels, excessive screen time and poorly designed content could potentially delay language development. The study highlights the importance of curated content and the role of caregivers in moderating technology use. Recommendations are provided for developing age-appropriate, linguistically enriching technological resources that can effectively support early language learning without overwhelming young learners. The research contributes to the ongoing dialogue on educational technology by delineating key factors that ensure the beneficial use of digital tools in early childhood language acquisition.

Abstract

Creativity refers to a person's mental process that gives birth to new ideas or new physical forms, or a combination of the two, which then become an important part of that individual. In this research, the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method was used. According to Arikunto et al (2019), there was an increase in creativity in class IV students at SDN Ciparay in making playdough from clay. This can be seen from the increase in the average student score from 77.41 in the first cycle to 84.69 in the second cycle, which were in the good and very good categories respectively. In addition, learning results showed an increase from 72.41% learning completeness in the first cycle to 89.66% in the second cycle, with 26 out of 29 students achieving completeness. The conclusion of this research is that the use of clay, together with verbal and audiovisual stimulus support, can effectively increase the creativity of students in class IV SDN 4 Ciparay in making playdough.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine whether or not there is an influence of using Counting Box media on students' critical thinking skills in mathematics learning about fractions. The methodology used in this research isPre-Experiment. The research design used was One-Group Pretest-Posttest. The subjects of this research were students in class III, even semester, at SD Negeri Tanjung Ilir. Data collection techniques in research are using oral tests, interviews and documentation. The results are shown from the average pretest score of 30.32. After being treated with counting box media, the average post-test score increased to 77.78. This shows that the Counting Box media has an effect on improving students' critical thinking abilities and can be used as a recommended learning media for mathematics learning.

Abstract

Research on the Effect of phET Simulation Learning Media on Student Understanding in Physics Class XI at SMA Negeri 9 Makassar. This study aims to determine the effect of phet simulation learning media on student understanding of physics subjects in class XI at SMA Negeri 9 Makassar. The sample in this study was class XI students at SMA Negeri 9 Makassar which amounted to 36 students. Based on the results of research and data analysis regarding the comparison of statistical values, and comparison of student understanding categories has proven a positive influence on the understanding of students in class XI SMA Negeri 9 Makassar which can be seen from the results of student understanding through descriptive statistical analysis before using phET simulation learning media the average student score is still below the KKM value and after using phET simulation learning media the average student score increases above the KKM value. It is known that the value of the posttest results is 83 greater than the value of the pretest results which is 57. Furthermore, based on the results of the N-Gain test, a value of 77 is obtained which if rounded to 0.77 with a high category. Based on these results it can be concluded that there is a significant positive influence on student understanding. From the results of these data it can be concluded that through phET simulation learning media in learning can have a positive influence on student understanding in physics class XI SMA Negeri 9 Makassar.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the potential of storytelling methods using wayang media in improving the speaking skills of young children. Children at this age are at a critical developmental stage where speaking ability becomes an important aspect in the development of language and communication skills. Traditional methods of learning are often not interesting enough for children, so innovative and engaging approaches are needed. Parents' busy lives trigger a lack of interaction and communication with children, so that children are left to play alone without any assistance or two-way communication. This causes obstacles to early childhood speaking skills. The results of the research show that the storytelling method using wayang characters significantly increases children's participation in conversations, enriches their vocabulary, and improves understanding of syntax so that children's speaking skills improve.

Abstract

This research aims to examine activities related to strengthening early literacy in Early Childhood Education, namely in Kindergarten. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation studies on children aged 5-6 years at the Pertiwi Kindergarten (TK) 14.26.11 Giyanti Village, Rowokele District, Kebumen Regency. The instruments used were observation sheets, interview sheets and documentation studies related to activities to strengthen early literacy at Pertiwi Kindergarten 14.26.11 Giyanti Village through reading corner services. Reading corner services at Pertiwi Kindergarten 14.26.11 were carried out with various activities. In general, reading corner service activities can develop and strengthen early literacy skills in Pertiwi Kindergarten 14.26.11 Giyanti Village.

Abstract

Conventional learning methods should be replaced with learning approaches that are in accordance with the 21st century learning era. The application of the recommended learning model for mathematics learning in this study is the problem-based leaning learning model assisted by Parehan and quizizz media. The purpose of the study was to (1) describe the application of the problem based learning model assisted by Parehan and quizizz media in addition and subtraction material in grade IV students of SDN 2 Trucuk, and (2) describe the learning outcomes of addition and subtraction material in grade IV students of SDN 2 Trucuk through a problem based learning model assisted by Parehan and quizizz media. This research was conducted at SDN 2 Trucuk with the subject of 15 grade IV students using qualitative descriptive methods to describe the findings. Observations, tests and documentation are used by researchers to retrieve data. The application of the Parehan and quizizz media-assisted problem-based learning model in grade IV of SDN 2 Trucuk went well, It is shown by the increase in student learning outcomes from 6 (40%) students to 14 (93%) students who have scores above KKTP while the remaining only 7% of students whose scores are still below KKTP, however there needs to be a habit of using digital platforms.

Abstract

Gangguan perkembangan bahasa mengacu pada ketidakmampuan atau keterbatasan dalam menggunakan simbol linguistik untuk komunikasi verbal, atau keterlambatan kemampuan anak berbicara atau mengembangkan bahasa, tergantung pada kelompok umur, jenis kelamin, kebiasaan, dan kecerdasan Oleh karena itu, jika gangguan berbahasa tidak ditangani dengan baik, dapat menimbulkan masalah pada pemahaman membaca, keterampilan berbahasa, perilaku, dan penyesuaian psikososial sehingga berdampak pada penurunan prestasi akademik. Orang tua dan guru perlu memahami perilaku bermasalah ini karena "anak bermasalah" biasanya terlihat di kelas dan menampilkan perilaku ini dalam semua interaksi mereka dengan orang-orang di sekitar mereka. Banyak anak yang mengalami keterlambatan bahasa antara usia 24 dan 30 bulan akan pulih dalam beberapa tahun dan tidak memerlukan intervensi. Tantangannya adalah mengidentifikasi dan menggunakan informasi relevan lainnya untuk meningkatkan keputusan diagnostik bagi setiap anak dan mencegah gangguan perkembangan yang lebih parah.
