Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine whether the Picture and Picture learning model influences the beginning reading skills of Grade II students at SDN 105344 Denai Lama. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research results show that the experimental class, which used the Picture and Picture learning model, had an average score of 86.1, while the control class, which used the conventional model, had an average score of 78.4. The difference in reading ability between the experimental and control classes was analyzed using a T-test with SPSS version 29, yielding a significance value (????) < 0.05, specifically 0.003 and 0.004, indicating that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. Additionally, T_observed > T_table (3.115 > 2.02439), confirming that there was a significant difference in reading skills between students taught using the Picture and Picture model and those taught using conventional methods. Effectiveness of the Picture and Picture Model: The Picture and Picture model was proven effective in enhancing students' reading skills by fostering active engagement and increasing interest through visually presented materials. This method helped students understand reading contexts, expand vocabulary, and accelerate comprehension. Findings and Limitations: Although this research supports the effectiveness of the Picture and Picture model in improving students' reading skills, certain limitations, such as a short research duration and focus on a single dependent variable, suggest the need for further studies involving a more diverse population and a longer research period. Overall, this research concludes that the Picture and Picture learning model is an effective method for improving early-grade students' reading skills. Therefore, it can serve as an alternative teaching method to enhance students' literacy skills in schools.

Abstract

Nurul Fauziyatil Azimah (037120065) This research is a research and development (RnD) with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) which aims to determine the feasibility of animated video learning media using Doratoon. This research was conducted on fourth grade students of SDN Loji 2 in the 2024/2025 academic year. The three stages of testing carried out in this study are media experts, linguists, and material experts and the distribution of student response questionnaires to the implemented media. The results of the validation test by media experts obtained a percentage of 86% with decent criteria, language experts obtained a percentage of 100% with very feasible criteria, material experts I obtained a percentage of 100% with very feasible criteria and material experts II obtained a percentage of 88%. The results of the learner response questionnaire showed a percentage of 89.05% with a decent category. Thus it can be concluded that the animation video is feasible for students to use in the learning process of grade IV SD.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in Mathematics are caused by the learning process which is still centered on the teacher resulting in a lack of student involvement in the learning process. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Mathematics on the material of geometric nets through the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) method in fifth grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 1 Tambah Subur. The method used is classroom action research (CAR). The sample in this study was 28 fifth grade students. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The results showed that the application of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) method can improve student learning outcomes, marked by an increase in the percentage of learning completeness from 60% in cycle I to 85% in cycle II, resulting in an increase of 25%. Thus, the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning method can improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 1 Tambah Subur

Abstract

This study aims to deconstruct and conduct an in-depth analysis of the pedagogical structure of the classical text Al-Ajrumiyyah through the lens of David Ausubel’s Meaningful Learning theory. In the context of Arabic language education in Indonesia, the primary challenges are low knowledge retention and the failure to functionally apply grammatical rules in real communication issues often stemming from the dominance of rote learning methods. Utilizing a library research approach with content analysis techniques, this study explores how the systematics of the 25 chapters in Al-Ajrumiyyah reflect cognitive principles such as advance organizers, progressive differentiation, integrative reconciliation, and subsumption. The results indicate that this text is not merely a grammatical summary, but a cognitive instrument deductively structured to facilitate the stable assimilation of new information into the student's existing knowledge structure.These findings suggest that integrating meaningful learning values into the teaching of Kitab Kuning can transform the effectiveness of Arabic education, address student heterogeneity, and align Pesantren traditions with modern curricular demands. The implications of this research emphasize the need for a methodological reorientation among Arabic educators to prioritize conceptual interconnectedness over the mere accumulation of verbal information

Abstract

Digital transformation in early childhood education, particularly within the Raudhatul Athfal (RA) environment, has brought a significant paradigm shift in teaching methods and learning media. This article qualitatively explores the challenges faced by educators in integrating deep learning-based media and artificial intelligence into a curriculum historically dominated by traditional approaches. Based on an analysis of the Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs (KMA) Number 347 of 2022 concerning the Guidelines for the Implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Madrasas, this study highlights institutional autonomy in creating learning innovations relevant to 21st-century competencies. Findings indicate that although deep learning-based media offers adaptive personalization and enhanced cognitive engagement through the pillars of mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning, its implementation is hindered by low digital literacy among educators, infrastructure constraints such as limited internet access and hardware, and theological dilemmas regarding the teacher's role as a spiritual guide. This article also compares the impact of both methods on the six aspects of child development in the Child Development Achievement Standards (STPPA), concluding that a hybrid approach balancing digital stimulation with traditional social-physical interaction is the most effective strategy to achieve well-being in accordance with the principles of maqāṣid al-syarī'ah. Abstract

The quality of learning processes and outcomes of elementary school students is often constrained by the use of conventional teaching methods that are not supported by appropriate learning media. Considerg that elementary school students are at the concrete operational stage, visual learning media are essential to facilitate meaningful learning. This study aims to review the influence of pictorial media on the learning process and learning outcomes of elementary school students. The research employed a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected from nationally accredited SINTA journal articles relevant to the use of pictorial media in elementary school learning. Documentation techniques were used to select articles based on relevance and completeness. The data were analyzed by identifying research objectives, methods, and findings, followed by systematic synthesis. The results indicate that pictorial media positively influence learning processes, including increased learning interest, student engagement, and understanding. In addition, pictorial media contribute to improved learning outcomes, particularly in early reading skills, reading comprehension, and writing abilities. Therefore, pictorial media are effective instructional tools for improving the quality of elementary school learning

Abstract

In the increasingly complex world of organizations and professions, the integration of Islamic values is crucial to ensure that organizational goals are not solely focused on achieving results but also on moral and spiritual aspects. This paper aims to identify Islamic ethical principles relevant to organizational and professional life, as well as how their implementation can be applied in the modern workplace. The study reveals the challenges faced in applying Islamic values within organizations and professions and provides strategies to overcome these challenges. Islamic life guidelines such as trustworthiness (amanah), honesty, justice, and contributions to the common good serve as the main foundation that can be applied in organizational and professional life to foster integrity and ethics aligned with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode outdoor activities terhadap aktivitas belajar siswa kelas IV pada mata pelajaran IPA dan IPS di SDN 16 Sungai Rotan, Muara Enim. Permasalahan muncul dari minimnya penerapan metode pembelajaran di luar kelas yang menyebabkan kejenuhan dan rendahnya aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh penerapan metode outdoor activities terhadap peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain pretest-posttest, melibatkan 21 siswa sebagai sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk dan uji hipotesis dengan paired t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa secara signifikan setelah penerapan outdoor activities, terbukti dari kenaikan skor obsrvasi dan angket yang berarti secara statistik (p<0,05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penggunaan metode outdoor activities secara efektif dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan, motivasi, dan aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga memberikan alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan menyenangkan di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Low student learning motivation in remote elementary schools is often caused by geographical barriers and sociocultural conflicts, as seen in the enrollment decline at SD YPPK Kambrau, Kambrau District, West Papua, from 73 students (2024) to 65 (2025). This study analyzes the role of the school principal as educational administrator in enhancing learning motivation through integration of Papuan local wisdom. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach and intrinsic case study, data were collected via in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving the principal, two teachers, and parents. Findings reveal four key administrative functions: (1) participatory planning based on motivation analysis, (2) adaptive instruction aligning academic schedules with customary seasons, (3) development-oriented evaluation, and (4) transforming environmental obstacles into contextual learning opportunities. The novelty lies in a contextual transformational leadership model integrating Papuan customs, fulfilling students’ psychological needs according to Self-Determination Theory (autonomy, competence, relatedness). Implications emphasize that educational administration effectiveness in 3T regions depends on managerial flexibility and respect for local wisdom, supporting SDGs Goal 4 and the context-based Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Nutritional problems that occur in Indonesia, including stunting or malnutrition, are a major challenge that can affect the quality of life, especially in elementary school children. Stunting is a health problem that often occurs in children, which is characterized by characteristics such as height below standard (shorter than their age), weight below standard, weak body immunity, slow bone growth reflecting chronic malnutrition that occurs which has an impact on physical and cognitive development in children. These symptoms occur due to a lack of balanced nutritional fulfillment during pregnancy and after childbirth so that the fulfillment of nutritional adequacy is not enough so that breast milk given to children under 2 years old is very vulnerable to stunting.
