Abstract

The issue of takfir has long been one of the most sensitive topics in Islamic intellectual discourse due to its theological implications and significant social consequences. Divergent interpretations of Qur’anic verses concerning faith and disbelief across Islamic madhhabs have often generated exclusive truth claims that may threaten intra-Muslim harmony. This study aims to examine the concept of takfir through cross-madhhab Qur’anic exegesis and to identify both convergences and divergences in defining the boundaries of disbelief. This research employs a qualitative library research method using a comparative-analytical approach to representative Sunni and Shi‘i tafsir works, supported by classical and contemporary literature on Islamic theology and principles of Qur’anic interpretation. The findings reveal that scholars across madhhabs generally regard takfir as a highly restricted judgment, governed by strict conditions and a strong emphasis on prudence and ethical responsibility. Differences among madhhabs primarily arise from methodological and theological frameworks rather than from a permissive stance toward declaring others unbelievers. The study concludes that a cautious, dialogical, and moderate interpretive approach is essential in addressing takfir to promote unity and strengthen religious moderation within the Muslim community.

Abstract

This article discusses the concept of tawhid as the fundamental foundation of Islamic teachings and its implications for the personal and moral development of Muslims. The problem addressed in this study is the decline in moral awareness caused by a weak understanding of tawhid. The purpose of this article is to explain the meaning, types, and urgency of tawhid in shaping Islamic personality and ethics. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review approach, analyzing books, journal articles, and relevant scientific publications. The results show that tawhid, which includes rububiyah, uluhiyah, and asma wa sifat, plays a crucial role in guiding human behavior, strengthening moral values, and creating spiritual awareness in daily life. Therefore, a correct and comprehensive understanding of tawhid is essential for building morally upright and spiritually strong Muslim individuals.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah is an Islamic movement that has consistently promoted the spirit of tajdid through the purification of Islamic teachings and social reform since its establishment. This article aims to analyze the history and dynamics of Muhammadiyah’s thought in responding to social, religious, and national changes in Indonesia. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method by examining scholarly works, official Muhammadiyah documents, and other relevant sources. The findings indicate that Muhammadiyah’s thought has evolved dynamically through phases of purification, modernization, and the development of progressive Islam as its ideological framework. These dynamics demonstrate Muhammadiyah’s consistency in preserving Islamic purity while remaining adaptive to contemporary challenges. The study concludes that intellectual flexibility is a key factor in sustaining Muhammadiyah’s role in Indonesia’s religious and social life.

Abstract

This research analyzes the phenomenon of spiritual resilience among Muslim couples who are not blessed with children in Indonesia. Amidst social constructions that position offspring as the primary validation of marital happiness, these couples face significant challenges in the form of stigma and social pressure. Through an observational study, this research explores how the values of Sakinah, Mawaddah, and wa Rahmah are reconstructed as instruments of mental and spiritual strength. The results indicate that marital happiness in Islam is comprehensive and does not solely rely on the aspect of procreation, but rather on tranquility of the soul (sakinah), true love (mawaddah), and social devotion (rahmah).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of speaking learning through thematic vlog media based on students’ daily activities and to identify the improvement in students’ learning outcomes among tenth-grade students of SMKS 10 November Tambun Selatan. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted in two cycles consisting of four main stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results showed that the use of thematic vlog media significantly improved students’ speaking skills in both linguistic and non-linguistic aspects. In the linguistic aspect, improvements were observed in vocabulary mastery, sentence accuracy, and pronunciation, while in the non-linguistic aspect, students showed better fluency, confidence, material mastery, and attitude. The average class score increased from 63.9 in the pre-action stage to 70.3 in cycle I and 78.8 in cycle II. Moreover, the percentage of students achieving the minimum mastery criteria (KKM) rose from 19% in the pre-action to 55% in cycle I and 90% in cycle II. These findings indicate that thematic vlog media based on students’ daily activities effectively enhances students’ speaking competence and learning motivation. Therefore, vlog media can serve as an innovative and engaging alternative for teaching Indonesian language, particularly in developing students’ speaking skills at the vocational high school level.

Abstract

This research documents the development of thematic teaching materials that integrate learning theories, Elementary School student characteristics, and local wisdom at SD Inpres 11 Konda, South Sorong Regency. This study aims to design contextual teaching materials to increase student motivation and understanding through the exploration of coastal ecosystems. The method used is an exploratory approach involving field observations, interviews, and needs analysis of existing teaching materials. The implementation results show that experiential learning is highly effective in helping students construct knowledge by linking abstract ecosystem concepts with environmental facts in their surroundings. Despite facing digital access constraints, the use of adaptive teaching materials successfully increased student engagement significantly. The conclusion of this project is that the integration of local wisdom into teaching materials can shift the learning paradigm from rote memorization to real action that fosters environmental awareness in students.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the strategic role of students from the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) in improving students' literacy and numeracy skills at the elementary school level. The urgency of this research is based on Indonesia's low ranking in the 2022 PISA survey, where literacy scores in reading (355 points) and mathematics (379 points) are far below the international average. Apart from that, the results of observations at SDN 13/I Muara Bulian show low interest in independent reading, dependence on teacher instructions, and students' fear of mathematics which is considered a "forest of formulas. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach with literature study. Data was collected through reviews of scientific articles, textbooks and relevant theories regarding the role of PGSD students as agents of change in the digital era. The results of the research show that PGSD students have a central role as innovators and learning facilitators who are able to integrate educational technology to develop students' digital literacy. The role of students. includes developing creative learning strategies to overcome students' obstacles in understanding contextual logic questions and text inference.

Abstract

Kajian tafsir Al-Qur’an di Nusantara tidak dapat dilepaskan dari konteks sosial-historis yang melingkupi lahirnya karya tafsir tersebut. Tafsir Al-Furqan karya A. Hasan merupakan salah satu tafsir penting yang muncul pada masa transisi era kolonial menuju pasca kemerdekaan, sehingga memuat respons keislaman terhadap dinamika sosial, politik, dan kebangsaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konstruksi identitas keislaman Nusantara dalam Tafsir Al-Furqan melalui penafsiran ayat-ayat sosial Surah Al-Baqarah ayat 177–243 dengan pendekatan hermeneutik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif interpretatif. Data dianalisis menggunakan hermeneutika historis-kontekstual dengan menelaah relasi antara teks Al-Qur’an, konteks sosial-historis penafsir, dan horizon pemaknaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa A. Hasan membangun identitas keislaman Nusantara yang bercorak rasional, purifikatif, dan berorientasi pada etika sosial, keadilan, serta tanggung jawab kolektif umat. Tafsir ini juga merefleksikan sikap kritis terhadap ketidakadilan kolonial sekaligus mendorong kesadaran sosial dan kebangsaan pada masa awal kemerdekaan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Tafsir Al-Furqan berperan penting dalam pembentukan identitas keislaman Nusantara yang kontekstual, dinamis, dan berakar pada nilai-nilai sosial Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

Qur’anic interpretation cannot be separated from the social and cultural context in which it is produced. Within the tradition of Nusantara tafsir, Tafsir Al-Qur’an Al-Karim written by Mahmud Yunus demonstrates a distinctive integration of Indonesian local values into the understanding of Qur’anic verses. This study aims to examine the forms and characteristics of local elements found in this tafsir and to analyze their relevance to the development of contextual Qur’anic interpretation in Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, while data analysis is conducted through content analysis of the tafsir text. The findings reveal that local elements are reflected in the use of accessible Indonesian language, social examples drawn from local community life, indigenous religious practices, and an educational approach tailored to Indonesian society. These features make the tafsir contextual and easily understood. In conclusion, Mahmud Yunus’s tafsir represents a Nusantara model of Qur’anic interpretation that successfully harmonizes the universal message of the Qur’an with local cultural realities.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di sekolah dasar tidak hanya berorientasi pada penguasaan pengetahuan, tetapi juga pada pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis sebagai dasar pembentukan karakter dan kesadaran kewarganegaraan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pembelajaran mendalam yang dibantu media Wordwall dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada hasil belajar siswa kelas lima di SD Negeri Pamulang 01. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimental dalam bentuk desain kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan pembelajaran mendalam yang dibantu media Wordwall dan kelas kontrol yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan tes hasil belajar Pendidikan Pancasila yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan statistik inferensial melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji t untuk menentukan perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar antara kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran mendalam yang dibantu media Wordwall memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa. Siswa di kelas eksperimen menunjukkan kemampuan analitis, evaluasi, dan penalaran yang lebih baik dibandingkan siswa di kelas kontrol. Lebih lanjut, penggunaan Wordwall dapat meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan, dan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam dan media Wordwall efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila yang bermakna, kontekstual, dan berpusat pada siswa, serta berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.
