Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of strengthening national character values through local wisdom, particularly in the context of implementing the Pancasila Student Profile. This study aims to describe the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile present in the Rupama (Makassar Folk Stories) collection by Zainuddin Hakim and analyze the meanings contained within. Using a descriptive qualitative method and content analysis, the research data were obtained through documentation techniques applied to the rupama texts, which were analyzed based on the six dimensions of the pancasila student profile. The results indicate that all five stories comprehensively encompass the six value dimensions, with the highest frequency found in the dimension of faith, piety, and noble character. These values are manifested through dialogue, actions, and character traits, reflecting Makassar local wisdom related to spirituality, solidarity, independence, critical reasoning, and creativity. The study concludes that Rupama serves as a rich and authentic source of local wisdom, making it an effective medium for character education to internalize the values of the Pancasila Student Profile within the educational sphere.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the orientation and expectations of communication research methods within the framework of social science. Communication is understood as a meaning-laden social process; therefore, the selection of research methods becomes a crucial factor in producing valid and relevant scientific findings. This study employs a qualitative approach using a library research design, with data sources consisting of books and scholarly journal articles that discuss communication research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative. The data were analyzed using a descriptive-qualitative technique through systematic classification and interpretation of methodological concepts. The findings indicate that communication research methods have distinct epistemological orientations, in which qualitative approaches emphasize the understanding of meaning and social context, while quantitative approaches focus on measurement and generalization of communication phenomena. The expectations of communication research methods encompass not only technical accuracy but also analytical depth, social relevance, and the ethical responsibility of the researcher. Thus, a comprehensive understanding of the orientation and expectations of communication research methods serves as an essential foundation for producing high-quality research that contributes to the development of communication studies.

Abstract

Education is a key in developing quality human resources, yet various problems persist, such as quality gaps, limited human resources, and suboptimal education management. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), the External Quality Assurance System (SPME), accreditation, monitoring, and evaluation in improving educational quality. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review. Data were obtained from various relevant scientific journals and analyzed using content analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that SPMI serves as a foundation for building a culture of quality through a continuous improvement cycle, while SPME, through accreditation, serves as external validation of the quality of educational institutions. Monitoring and evaluation are crucial instruments for controlling the implementation of standards and identifying gaps between planning and implementation. The discussion confirms that these components have a complementary relationship and form a continuous quality assurance cycle. The conclusion of this study is that the consistent integration of SPMI, SPME, accreditation, monitoring, and evaluation can improve the quality of learning, institutional governance, and graduate quality sustainably. Therefore, a quality assurance system needs to be implemented as an organizational culture in every educational institution.

Abstract

ABSTRACKThis research was undertaken with the objective of enhancing students’ academic performance in the domain of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) through the implementation of the Mind Mapping pedagogical model for fourth-grade pupils at SD Katolik I Woloan. The rationale behind this investigation stems from the comparatively inadequate student learning outcomes, as evidenced by the observation that a subset of students had not met the Minimum Mastery Criteria of Learning Objectives (KKTP) stipulated by institutional standards. The methodological approach employed in this inquiry is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which adheres to the Kemmis and McTaggart cyclical framework encompassing the phases of planning, action, observation, and reflection, and was executed over two distinct cycles. Data collection methodologies were implemented through assessments of academic achievement and systematic observations of pedagogical activities involving both educators and learners throughout the instructional process. The findings of the study indicated a progressive enhancement in student academic performance across each cycle. In the initial cycle, the collective mastery level attained was 71.36%. Subsequent to the implementation of targeted improvements in the second cycle, the mastery level exhibited an increase to 88.2%. Moreover, the integration of the Mind Mapping model also yielded beneficial effects on amplifying student engagement, fostering collaborative skills during group tasks, and enhancing students’ competencies in organizing and articulating the results of Mind Mapping activities. In light of these results, it can be inferred that the application of the Mind Mapping learning model is efficacious in advancing students’ academic outcomes in IPAS for fourth-grade learners at SD Katolik I Woloan. Abstract

Pendidikan dasar berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter dan kemampuan berpikir siswa. Namun, kenyataannya di SDN Mundu 2 Kecamatan Karangampel, hasil belajar dan keaktifan siswa dalam pelajaran IPA masih rendah. Berdasarkan observasi, sebagian besar siswa belum mencapai KKM dan kurang aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Masalah ini menjadi urgensi karena rendahnya partisipasi siswa dapat berdampak pada pemahaman dan pencapaian akademik jangka panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa IPA kelas IV. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang terdiri dari tiga siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa di setiap siklus. Keaktifan siswa meningkat dari 66,67% pada siklus I menjadi 89% pada siklus II, dan hasil belajar meningkat dari 65,8% menjadi 94,74%. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa model CTL efektif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa IPA kelas IV. Penerapan model CTL mampu menghadirkan pembelajaran yang bermakna dan kontekstual bagi siswa.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism is a crucial factor in improving the quality of education while shaping student character. In the context of modern education, teacher professionalism is measured not only by pedagogical and academic competencies, but also by moral integrity and exemplary behavior demonstrated in educational practices. This study aims to analyze the concept of teacher professionalism based on integrity and exemplary behavior and its implications for student character formation. This research used a qualitative approach using a literature review method of various indexed national journals over the past four years. The results of the study indicate that teacher integrity is the foundation for building trust, professional ethics, and the quality of learning. Meanwhile, teacher exemplary behavior serves as an effective medium for internalizing character values ​​in students. Teacher professionalism built through integrity and exemplary behavior can create a positive learning environment, improve the quality of pedagogical interactions, and strengthen character education in schools. Therefore, strengthening teacher professionalism needs to be directed at developing balanced competencies between pedagogical, moral, and social aspects. Abstract

Language Style in the Novel Seporsi Mie Ayam Sebelum Mati by Brian Khrisna. This study aims to describe the language styles found in the novel Seporsi Mie Ayam Sebelum Mati by Brian Khrisna. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a library study method. The research data are in the form of narrative excerpts and dialogues containing elements of language styles in the novel. The data source for this research is the text of the novel Seporsi Mie Ayam Sebelum Mati. Data collection was carried out through reading and note-taking techniques with the stages of identification and classification. The research instrument was the researcher herself who was assisted by a data recording sheet based on the language style categories according to Keraf. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that this novel contains various language styles, namely language styles based on sentence structure such as climax, repetition, antithesis, and rhetoric, as well as language styles based on meaning such as metaphor, simile, personification, hyperbole, litotes, irony, and sarcasm. The use of these language styles serves to strengthen expression, build an emotional atmosphere, and enrich the beauty of the language in the novel.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of educational values in the Ratib Al-Attas activities at MI Al-Awwal Palembang. The background of this research is based on the importance of strengthening students' character through religious habituation activities in Islamic educational institutions. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of Ratib Al-Attas activities contains various educational values, including religious values, discipline, social values, and moral values. These values are instilled through routine activities, teacher guidance, and student participation. Supporting factors include institutional support, teacher involvement, and student enthusiasm, while inhibiting factors include limited time and variations in student understanding. Overall, this activity contributes positively to shaping students' character and spiritual awareness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of students’ moral values through the implementation of the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) within the Merdeka Curriculum. The background of this study is based on the importance of character education in the midst of globalization and technological advancements that influence students’ behavior, as well as the declining trend of moral values among students. Therefore, educational strategies are needed that not only focus on cognitive aspects but also foster students’ character and moral values (Hidayat, 2023). The research method used in this study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA model to examine various relevant sources related to the implementation of P5 and the development of students’ moral values. The data were obtained from 12 SINTA-indexed scientific journal articles and 3 relevant reference books, published between 2020 and 2025 through a systematic process of identification, selection, and analysis (Lestari, 2022). The results indicate that P5 activities play an important and effective role in developing students’ moral values, such as responsibility, cooperation, teamwork, social awareness, tolerance, and creativity. Project-based learning in P5 provides students with direct experiences through contextual, collaborative, and experiential learning, enabling moral values to be not only understood conceptually but also internalized in daily life (Wahyudi, 2022; Putra, 2024; Sani et al., 2025; Febrianti & Muhsinin, 2025). However, the implementation of P5 still faces several challenges, such as limited teacher understanding and readiness, as well as inadequate school facilities (Sari, 2023; Diski et al., 2025). Therefore, the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) can serve as an effective strategy for strengthening students’ character education, but it requires optimal support from various stakeholders to ensure its successful implementation.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of regional languages on the use of Indonesian among elementary school students. The background of this research is the strong dominance of regional languages as students’ first language, which often affects their use of Indonesian as a second language in formal learning contexts. This study aims to analyze the forms of interference and identify the factors influencing students’ language use. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a literature study method, which involves analyzing and synthesizing relevant sources such as journals, books, and official documents. The findings indicate that regional languages significantly affect students’ Indonesian usage in several linguistic aspects, including phonology, morphology, syntax, and vocabulary. Common forms of interference include code-mixing, inaccurate sentence structures, and pronunciation influenced by regional accents. However, regional languages also play a positive role as a bridge in understanding learning materials, especially at the early stages of education. Therefore, balanced language management is needed in the learning process. Teachers play a crucial role in guiding students to use Indonesian properly while still appreciating their regional language as part of cultural identity. This study highlights the importance of contextual and bilingual learning strategies to support students’ language development effectively.
