Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji representasi kesantunan berbahasa dalam dinamika komunikasi instruksional antara guru dan siswa di jenjang sekolah dasar. Mengingat pentingnya iklim pembelajaran yang humanis, kesantunan bertutur hadir sebagai instrumen kunci untuk menjamin efektivitas transfer pengetahuan. Melalui metode studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini membedah berbagai literatur ilmiah, jurnal, dan referensi relevan menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manifestasi kesantunan guru di sekolah dasar terwujud melalui tiga pola strategis, yakni: (1) internalisasi penanda kesantunan (politeness markers) dalam perintah, (2) optimalisasi kesantunan positif untuk membangun kedekatan emosional, serta (3) penerapan strategi penyelamatan muka (face-saving) melalui penggunaan eufemisme saat mengoreksi siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pola komunikasi yang santun bertindak sebagai kurikulum tersembunyi yang vital dalam menginternalisasi nilai karakter, empati, dan kecerdasan emosional siswa sejak tahap pendidikan awal. Kata Kunci: Kesantunan Berbahasa, Komunikasi Instruksional, Sekolah Dasar, Strategi Kesantunan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the crucial role of morphological literacy in fostering critical thinking skills among elementary school students within Indonesian language learning. The phenomenon of Indonesia's low literacy rankings based on PISA data provides the background for the urgency of this research, suggesting a need for language structure teaching strategies that can stimulate cognitive development. Using the Narrative Literature Review (NLR) method through a qualitative approach, this research synthesizes various scientific literatures to dissect the correlation between morphological awareness and critical thinking sharpness. The findings show that morphological literacy particularly the mastery of affixation and reduplication serves as a cognitive foundation that enables students to deconstruct meaning beyond textual understanding. This analytical process toward word structure encourages the development of inferential and evaluative thinking skills, which are the main pillars of critical thinking. This study concludes that strengthening morphological literacy within contextual learning is a strategic instrument to enhance students' intellectual capacity in facing future information complexities.

Abstract

Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools (SDIT) carry a dual strategic mission: delivering high-quality education while simultaneously cultivating students' character grounded in Islamic values. This study aims to analyze and construct a conceptual framework for the implementation of Islamic values-based educational management in SDIT through a systematic library research approach. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, utilizing content analysis of ten selected peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2021 and 2025. The findings reveal that Islamic values-based educational management in SDIT encompasses five interrelated dimensions: (1) curriculum planning grounded in the principles of syura and tawhid; (2) instructional implementation through values integration and Islamic habituation programs; (3) application of Total Quality Management synergized with the values of amanah and ihsan; (4) spiritual-professional leadership that regards institutional roles as a divine trust (amanah); and (5) student character development through structured worship routines and teacher exemplarity. These findings affirm that Islamic values and modern management principles are not contradictory entities but can be synergistically integrated to produce a holistic, adaptive, and high-quality educational system. This study contributes to the theoretical development of Islamic educational management frameworks, offering practical guidance for practitioners and policymakers within SDIT and comparable Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) learning model on the learning outcomes of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) on creative economic activities. The main problem underlying this study is the low learning outcomes of sixth-grade students of SD Negeri 091277 Siantar Estate, where 62% of students have not achieved the Learning Objectives Achievement Criteria (KKTP) due to the learning method which is still conventional and monotonous. This type of research is quantitative with a one-group pretest-posttest design on a saturated sample of 26 students. Data collection was carried out through observation, documentation, and tests in the form of 20 multiple-choice questions that have passed validity and reliability tests. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in the average score of students, from a pretest of 43.84 (low category) to a posttest of 86.15 (good category). Hypothesis testing using Paired Sample T-Test produces a calculated t value of 13.098 which is greater than the t table of 1.708 at a significance level of 5%, so the null hypothesis is rejected. In addition, the N-Gain score of 0.7406 indicates that the use of the WordWall gamification-based CTL model is effective in the high category to improve student learning outcomes. Thus, it can be concluded that the CTL model has a positive and significant influence on the learning outcomes of sixth-grade students in science.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the stages of deep learning, understanding, applying, and reflecting in improving the quality of students' narrative writing which is still low, especially in text structure, idea development, and language accuracy due to conventional approaches that focus on the final result. Using a literature study method with a descriptive-analytical approach, data was obtained from journals, books, and relevant research through the stages of identification, selection, analysis, and synthesis. The results of the study show that the three stages significantly improve the quality of narrative writing: the understanding stage strengthens the conceptual basis, the applying stage develops skills through structured practice, and the reflecting stage allows for evaluation and revision. The integration of the three not only improves the technical aspects of writing, but also creativity, critical thinking, and metacognitive awareness, so that deep learning is proven to be effective as an innovative, student-centered strategy and supports sustainable literacy development.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS), influenced by teacher-centered practices that limited active participation. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Giving Question and Getting Answer (GQGA) learning model in improving students’ learning outcomes. A quantitative approach was used with a pre-experimental method employing a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The participants were 42 fifth-grade students at SD Madani Islamic School Riau. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments that had been validated and tested for reliability. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, and N-Gain analysis.The results showed that the average pretest score was 63, with a mastery percentage of 9.5%. After the implementation of GQGA, the posttest average increased to 87.14, with a mastery percentage of 92.9%. The Wilcoxon test result (0.000 < 0.05) indicated a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. The N-Gain value of 0.64 was categorized as moderate.These findings indicate that the GQGA learning model is effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in IPAS.

Abstract

Islamic education management based on the Qur'an and Hadith is a necessity in realizing holistic, authentic, and character-based governance of Islamic educational institutions. This study aims to identify the principles of Islamic education management contained in the Qur'an and Hadith, analyze their relevance to modern educational management functions, and formulate an integrative conceptual model of Islamic education management. The method employed is qualitative with a library research approach through content analysis technique and maudhui thematic method. The findings reveal that the Qur'an and Hadith contain fundamental managerial principles including amanah, 'adl, shura, tauhid, itqan, falah, and moral development, which are substantially relevant to the functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling in modern educational management. This study also successfully formulates an integrative conceptual model that places tauhid as the central axis of all managerial activities with maqashid al-syari'ah as its evaluative framework. This model proves capable of comprehensively addressing the dichotomy between Islamic normative values and contemporary managerial approaches. This research contributes to strengthening the theoretical foundation of Islamic education management and provides normative guidance for Islamic educational institution managers in building governance that is effective, integrity-based, and spiritually dimensional.

Abstract

The use of interactive learning media in early childhood education (ECE) settings remains limited in many regions, including areas far from urban centers. This condition directly impacts children's learning activeness, which should receive optimal stimulation during the golden age period. This article aims to examine various literatures regarding the types of interactive learning media, the factors behind their minimal use, and the impacts on early childhood learning activeness. The method used is a systematic literature review analyzing 18 national journal articles published between 2020 and 2025. The results show that interactive learning media, including educational videos, educational games, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR)-based multimedia, artificial intelligence (AI)-based applications, and locally-cultured media, significantly improve the activeness, motivation, and learning outcomes of early childhood. Conversely, the minimal use of interactive media results in low child engagement in the learning process, decreased learning motivation, and inhibited language and cognitive development. Contributing factors include limited teacher pedagogical competence in utilizing technology, insufficient supporting facilities and infrastructure, and low awareness of the importance of technology-based media in early childhood education. This article recommends improving teacher competence, providing adequate infrastructure, and developing learning media integrated with local cultural values as concrete efforts to improve early childhood learning activeness.

Abstract

The inadequate reading comprehension abilities of the fifth graders at SDN 37 Pangkalpinang prompted this investigation. Reasons for students' lack of interest and drive in reading activities and the prevalence of traditional, teacher-centered methods of education contribute to their low level of competence. Because of this, the purpose of this research was to analyse how fifth graders at SDN 37 Pangkalpinang fared in reading comprehension after being exposed to a constructivist learning approach centred on projects. The research was quantitative in nature and used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest. Each of the two groups the experimental and the control consisting of all thirty-two fifth graders at SDN 37 Pangkalpinang made comprised the sample. Both the pre- and post-tests included a reading comprehension exam to gather data. After making that the data was normal and homogeneous, the analysts used SPSS version 22 to run an independent samples t-test to assess their hypotheses. Results showed that the data were normally distributed, with significance values larger than 0.05, for both the experimental and control groups' pretest and posttest scores in the normalcy test. A significant value of 0.672 (> 0.05) was generated by the homogeneity test, suggesting that the data variance was homogenous. The null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted based on the findings of the hypothesis testing, which showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 (< 0.05). It follows that fifth graders at SDN 37 Pangkalpinang benefit significantly from the project-based constructivist learning methodology in terms of their reading comprehension.

Abstract

This study examines the need to reconstruct the paradigm of future education in response to increasingly complex global challenges, including technological disruption, cultural shifts, and the demands of 21st-century competencies. The problem addressed in this research is the mismatch between conventional educational approaches and the dynamic needs of global society. The objective of this study is to analyze and formulate a more adaptive, innovative, and holistic educational paradigm. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature study method, where data are collected from various relevant books, journals, and scientific publications from the last five years. The analysis is conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to identify key patterns and concepts. The findings reveal that future education must emphasize flexibility in curriculum design, integration of technology, development of critical thinking skills, and strengthening of character education based on global and local values. In addition, collaboration between stakeholders and continuous innovation in learning strategies are essential to ensure the relevance and sustainability of education systems. Therefore, restructuring the educational paradigm is crucial to prepare learners who are competent, adaptive, and competitive in the global era
