Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Character Education Strengthening Policy (PPK) at SDN Bunsalak Jago Praya, Central Lombok. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The results show that the implementation of the Character Education Strengthening Policy (PPK) at SDN Bunsalak Jago is carried out through three main stages: interpretation, organization, and implementation. In the interpretation stage, the school translates the PPK policy into various programs and regulations that support the character development of students. The organization stage is carried out by developing a systematic and planned implementation structure. Furthermore, the implementation stage is supported by the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure. The character values ​​developed include religiosity, nationalism, independence, discipline, cooperation, mutual cooperation, and integrity. The implementation of the PPK policy at the school is realized through the integration of character values ​​in learning activities, school culture, and various extracurricular activities. The implementation of this policy involves collaboration between the school, parents, and the community to create a mutually supportive relationship in an effort to shape a generation with character and quality for the future of the nation.

Abstract

Leadership is a decisive element in directing organizational performance, especially in student organizations that rely on member participation. This article aims to describe the chairman’s leadership practices, identify the problems that arise, analyze their causes, and explain the solutions implemented along with recommendations for improvement. The study uses a qualitative approach with data collected through observation and interviews. The findings indicate that the chairman’s leadership style tends to be democratic, as shown by member involvement in discussion and decision-making. Nevertheless, implementation still faces several issues, including uneven member participation, unstable internal coordination, and imbalanced task distribution. These problems are influenced by differences in member commitment, inconsistent communication, and suboptimal supervision. The solutions implemented include strengthening coordination, clarifying task division, and improving communication among administrators. The article recommends participative leadership supported by firm supervision, continuous member development, and systematic evaluation to improve organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in the IPAS subject at SD Negeri Selomerto, where learning was still dominated by conventional methods. The research aimed to determine the effect of using Augmented Reality (AR) media based on Assemblr Edu on students' learning outcomes in the topic of Cultural Diversity and Local Wisdom. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 52 students divided into an experimental class and a control class, each comprising 26 students. Data were collected through observation, tests (pretest and posttest), and documentation. Data analysis included validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, homogeneity testing, Independent Sample t-Test, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the experimental class achieved a higher average posttest score (89.81) than the control class (74.04). The N-Gain score of the experimental class was 0.7546 (high category), while the control class obtained 0.3799 (moderate category). The Independent Sample t-Test revealed a t-value of 6.122, which was greater than the t-table value of 2.009, with a significance value of less than 0.05. These findings indicate a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups. Therefore, the use of Augmented Reality (AR) media based on Assemblr Edu is proven to be effective in improving IPAS learning outcomes among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Selomerto.

Abstract

Character education, particularly in the domain of discipline, constitutes a fundamental and indispensable dimension that must be systematically internalized among elementary school students from an early developmental stage. Nevertheless, empirical observations continue to reveal persistent manifestations of disciplinary deficiencies among learners, as evidenced by chronic tardiness, violations of school regulations, and a lack of accountability in fulfilling assigned academic responsibilities. In light of these challenges, the role of the teacher emerges as a pivotal and strategic agent in cultivating disciplinary character through the instructional framework of Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn). This study aims to provide a comprehensive and in-depth description of the teacher’s multifaceted role in shaping students’ disciplinary character via PPKn instruction within the primary education context. Employing a library research methodology, the present study conducts a critical analysis and systematic synthesis of diverse scholarly sources, including reputable peer reviewed journals, academic monographs, scientific articles, and prior empirical investigations pertinent to the research theme. The findings of this literature review underscore that teachers function in multiple strategic capacities as moral exemplars, intellectual and affective mentors, intrinsic motivators, and consistent supervisors in the effective instillation and reinforcement of disciplinary attitudes among students.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of implementing Canva-based interactive slideware media on improving Science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at MI Ma’arif Mojosari. The research was motivated by the low learning outcomes and limited use of interactive digital learning media in Science instruction. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. The population consisted of 54 fifth-grade students, divided into an experimental class and a control class, each comprising 27 students. Data were collected through observation, tests (pretest and posttest), and documentation, then analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, and N-Gain tests. The results indicated that the average score of the experimental class increased from 60.7 on the pretest to 83.7 on the posttest, while the control class increased from 58.7 to 71.0. The independent sample t-test showed a significance value of < 0.001, indicating a significant effect of Canva-based interactive slideware media on students’ Science learning outcomes. Furthermore, the N-Gain score of the experimental class was 0.5996 (moderate category), higher than the control class score of 0.2902 (low category). Therefore, Canva-based interactive slideware media was proven effective in improving Science learning outcomes and can be used as an innovative learning medium in elementary education.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the independent learning skills of elementary school students in the era of artificial intelligence (AI) through the utilization of the Dola AI virtual assistant platform. The main issue underlying this activity is the growing phenomenon of the "shortcut mentality" among students, where generative AI technology is often misused merely to obtain instant answers without engaging in a deeper understanding of the subject matter. The implementation methods include interactive socialization sessions on digital literacy for students and teachers, technical training on device operation, and intensive mentoring in using Dola AI as a time management and school task scheduling tool. The results of the activity indicate a significant improvement in indicators of task discipline and students’ self-organization skills. Students who previously relied heavily on parental instructions and verbal reminders began to demonstrate personal initiative in managing their daily study schedules through the smart notification features provided by Dola AI. Post-activity evaluation revealed a shift in students’ perception of technology—from merely a “question-answering machine” to a productivity assistant that supports the learning process. The conclusion of this activity emphasizes that directing AI utilization toward task management, rather than automatic content provision, proves effective in shielding students from the influence of instant culture and in building a foundation of independence and character from an early stage in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the cultivation of the character value of mutual cooperation in elementary school students through various learning strategies and school activities based on a literature review study. The research is motivated by the declining spirit of mutual cooperation among students due to technological developments and changes in social behavior in the modern era. The method used in this study is a literature review by analyzing 10 scientific articles obtained through Google Scholar. The reviewed articles discuss the cultivation of the character of mutual cooperation in elementary school students through habituation methods, collaborative learning, P5 projects, traditional games, environmental cleanliness activities, and the utilization of digital technology. The data analysis technique was carried out through the stages of article collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the cultivation of mutual cooperation values can be carried out effectively through habituation activities such as classroom duties, group work, community service, and Clean Friday activities, as well as through collaborative projects and traditional games that directly involve student cooperation. In addition, teacher role modeling, school support, and a conducive learning environment are important factors in the success of forming the character of mutual cooperation. This study concludes that the cultivation of mutual cooperation values needs to be carried out systematically, consistently, and sustainably in order to shape students’ character with attitudes of cooperation, responsibility, social concern, and a spirit of togetherness in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative pre-experimental study that aims to determine the effect of the Index Card Match learning model on students' understanding of the concept of plane figures before and after being given treatment. The research design used is a one group pretest–posttest design. The population in this study were all fourth-grade students of SD Inpres 7/83 Malimongeng with a sample of 20 students selected using saturated sampling techniques. The data collection technique used a written test in the form of descriptions to measure students'understanding of the concept of plane figures before and after treatment. The data analysis technique used descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis showed that the average pretest score of 53.30 was in the low category, while the average posttest score of 75.55 was in the high category. The results of the inferential statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed that the significance value was 0.001 <0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the application of the Index Card Match learning method on the understanding of the concept of plane figures of fourth-grade students of SD Inpres 7/83 Malimongeng, Bone Regency.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low ability of seventh-grade students at MTs Al Madani in writing descriptive texts, caused by limited vocabulary mastery, difficulties in developing ideas, and the use of less innovative learning methods. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Game-Based Learning model assisted by the Quizizz application in improving the descriptive text writing skills of seventh-grade students at MTS Al Madani. This study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 23 students selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through tests, namely pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test and N-Gain calculation. The results showed that the average pretest score of 58.04 increased to 76.09 in the posttest. The Wilcoxon test result showed a significance value of < 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. In addition, the N-Gain score of 0.4193 was categorized as moderate improvement. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Game-Based Learning model assisted by Quizizz is effective in improving students’ descriptive text writing skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the regional potential promotion approach in improving the English speaking skills of prospective teacher students and whether there was a relationship between the improvement in English speaking skills that occurred with students' interest in entrepreneurship. This study was a quantitative study with a True Experimental Design model of one group pretest-posttest design conducted on a population of 76 second-semester students divided into three classes at a Private Islamic University in Central Java, Indonesia. Samples of two classes were taken by random sampling, data collection using English speaking skills assessment instruments and an entrepreneurial interest questionnaire with data analysis including homogeneity test, normality test, average difference test, improvement test and correlation test. The results of the study showed a large t-value of 5.71 with a t-table of 2.003 (α 0.05), an N-Gain value of 0.35 with moderate improvement criteria in the experimental class and a control class of 0.039 with low improvement criteria, the results of the Pearson Product Moment value obtained were 0.73 with strong relationship criteria.
