Abstract

Limbah plastik merupakan suatu limbah yang dapat membuat kondisi lingkungan tercemar. Konsumsi plastik terus mengalami pertumbuhan dari peningkatan konsumsi  sebesar 4,5 juta ton pada tahun 2015 meningkat sampai 4,8 juta ton pada tahun 2016 atau pertumbuhan sebesar 5,2 %.  Permasalah yang ditimbulkan oleh  limbah plastik menjadi permasalahan yang tidak selesai karena plastik memiliki waktu urai yang cukup lama sehingga limbah plastik menumpuk setiap tahunnya. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat Desa Motilango tentang pemanfaatan limbah gelas plastik yang dapat menjadi paving block yang bernilai ekonomis serta pemanfaatan tersebut juga menjadi salah satu cara untuk mengurangi limbah gelas plastik yang ada di Desa Motilango. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini yaitu pendampingan/workshop kepada pemuda Desa Motilango agar dapat mempraktekkan pembuatan paving block setelah kegiatan selesai. Tahapan pembuatan paving block diantaranya menyiapkan bahan-bahan yang akan digunakan. Selanjutnya memanaskan plastik sampai lebur kemudian dicampur dengan pasir. Ukuran yang digunakan adalah 1:1 untuk memaksimalkan fungsi dari paving block. Selanjutnya campuran tadi dimasukkan ke dalam cetakan yang sebelumnya telah direndam ke dalam air. Hasilnya didapatkan paving block plastik berbentuk hexagonal yang kuat.

Abstract

This activity is a form of Community Service (PKM) which aims to open the horizons and insights of the community regarding the Draft Village Regulation as an important part of better village governance. The methods used in this mentoring activity include activity planning, activity preparation, activity implementation and discussion in the form of village deliberation meetings accompanied by dialogues that allow participants to explore as much knowledge as possible and find solutions to the problems of drafting village regulations faced. The results achieved in the mentoring activity for drafting Village Regulations carried out in Bontula Village, Asparaga District, namely where the activity ran smoothly and without any significant obstacles, both from the planning stage to the village deliberation. The smooth running of the activity was due to the support of all stakeholders in helping the Community Service team to carry out mentoring activities optimally. In this activity, the resource person not only delivered material related to the urgency of drafting Village Regulations in the implementation of village government, but also the technicalities of drafting Village Regulations accompanied by simulations that were focused and easy to understand by participants, so that participants in this activity could understand the theory and practice of drafting Village Regulations in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The knowledge gained by participants in this activity is expected to be a strong foundation for producing quality Village Regulations, especially in Bontula Village, Asparaga District, Gorontalo Regency.Keywords : Mentoring, Drafting, Draft Village Regulations

Abstract

Potensi Perikanan Kabupaten Gorontalo sangat melimpah terutama pada masyarakat pesisir, namun sayangnya potensi perikanan yang melimpah tidak berbanding lurus dengan kondisi gizi anak-anak masyarakat pesisir salah satunya masyarakat Desa Lopo. Meskipun memiliki potensi perikanan yang melimpah, namun kondisi ekonomi dan kesehatan anak-anak masih banyak yang mengalami kekurangan gizi. Hal tersebut memerlukan perhatian khusus untuk meningkatkan pola konsumsi ikan pada anak-anak. Kabupaten Gorontalo merupakan wilayah dengan prevalensi balita stunting tertinggi di Gorontalo pada 2022, yakni mencapai 30,8%. Naik 2,5 poin dari prevalensi balita stunting daerah tersebut pada 2021 sebesar 28,3%. Intervensi dan penanganan yang tepat terhadap faktor risiko kejadian stunting. Rendahnya tingkat konsumsi ikan untuk anak-anak pada daerah penghasil ikan merupakan permasalahan yang kerap terjadi, oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan upaya diversifikasi pada produk pangan yang gemar dikonsumsi oleh anak-anak maupun keluarga. Melalui diversifikasi pangan seperti menambahkan surimi ikan pada salah satu jenis makanan khas Gorontalo yaitu apang colo dapat menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan konsumsi ikan pada anak-anak ataupun keluarga. Melalui teknologi surimi ikan rasa dan aroma amis ikan akan berkurang, sehingga ketika dicampurkan ke dalam apang colo tidak memberikan perubahan rasa yang signifikan dan tetap disukai oleh kalangan manapun. Tujuan kegiatan PKM ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan pembuatan surimi hingga aplikasinya pada apang colo, penerapan sanitasi dan hygiene pengolahan serta pendampingan komersialisasi produk. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam menciptakan peluang usaha baru pada kelompok masyarakat nelayan secara mandiri mampu memproduksi dan memasarkan produk tersebut. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga diharapkan mampu membuka lapangan pekerjaan, meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat, serta mendukung ketersediaan pangan protein yang murah bagi masyarakat. Dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian berbasis Masyarakat Masyarakat mengetahui manfaat dan nilai gizi ikan. Masyarakat mengetahui sanitasi dan pengolahan dalam produksi produk olahan dan Memberikan pelatihan kepada masyarakat tentang diversifikasi pengolahan ikan menjadi Surimi sebagai Bahan Pembuatan Apang Colo.  Kata kunci : Apang colo, surimi ikan, Kabupaten Gorontalo, stunting

Abstract

The spread of Covid-19 has become a concern for both the public and the government. With the increasing rate of spread, the government is more responsive and issued various policies. One of the government's policies to suppress the spread of the corona virus is the use of masks outside the home. This requires people to always wear masks and pay attention to their respective health. In accordance with the analysis in the field, there are still many residents who do not care about the use of masks, so it is necessary to provide education about the dangers of transmitting COVID-19 if they do not use masks outside the home. The method used in this activity is the lecture method to residents and the direct distribution of masks to residents and the distribution of masks to the nearest hospital from the campus location. As a result, residents who previously did not use masks immediately use them right away so they can know the importance of using masks in suppressing the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Abstract

Community empowerment can be achieved by maximizing potential that can be managed effectively. Bontula Village is one of the villages in Asparaga District, Gorontalo Regency, and the most prominent product is corn. Because only raw corn plants are sold in the market, the yield of each plant is less than optimal in providing income for village residents. Based on the problems mentioned above, it is necessary to empower the Bontula village community to improve the economic welfare of its population by developing processed products available in the area. Apart from that, the aim of this activity is to increase the knowledge and economy (income) of the community through utilizing existing resources in the area. The use of corn-based sticks by adding balado flavor variants is oriented not only to maximizing the use of corn, but also focuses on increasing the income of village residents. This activity is carried out in stages, starting with observation, socialization, mentoring, packaging, and ending with marketing trials. After some trial marketing, corn chips were offered at nearby kiosks/stores and markets. Overall, there is a positive response from customers. This is proven by the existence of reorders made by the market. Community empowerment is very important because apart from increasing community knowledge and awareness about the use of natural resources, this activity also helps increase the level of village participation. Keywords : Community empowerment; Corn sticks; Bontula Village.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPotensi sumber daya alam di Desa Teratai, memiliki satu ikon tanaman yang hidup di perairan rawah yaitu Teratai. Tanaman Biji Teratai sering dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat desa untuk dikonsumsi layaknya makanan ringan (snack). Berdasarkan potensi sumber daya alam yang ada di Desa Teratai, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan tanaman biji teratai dengan cara mengelolah tanaman biji teratai menjadi produk makanan ringan yang lebih modern yaitu Biter Chocolate sebagai salah satu peningkatan keterampilan dan peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat desa di sekitar perairan rawah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Teratai, Kecamatan Marisa, Kabupaten Pohuwato, Gorontalo. Sasaran utama Pemberdayaan ini adalah masyarakat desa dan pengusaha mitra. Salah satu upaya diversifikasi produk pengolahan Biter Chocolate yang berbahan dasar biji teratai maka dilakukan kegiatan pemberdayaan produk olahan biji teratai, kegiatan demonstrasi pengolahan dan pemberdayaan Biter Chocolate. Demonstrasi pembuatan Biter Chocolate diberikan dengan secara partisipasif kepada seluruh peserta kegiatan. Selama kegiatan Pemberdayaan kepada peserta diberikan penyuluhan tentang keunggulan dan manfaat dari biji teratai. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah munculnya produk makanan ringan (snack) Biter Chocolate yang berbahan biji teratai sebagai usaha peningkatan ekonomi baru berbasis biji teratai, proses pendampingan usaha ini di mulai produksi,pengemasan, dan pemasaran tetap dilakukan. Kata kunci: Pemberdayaan, Potensi, Peningkatan Ekonomi

Abstract

Mangunharjo Village is included in one of the areas on the west coast of the city of Semarang which has various types of mangrove trees. Lack of public knowledge about the benefits of mangrove fruit, so that ripe mangrove fruit on the tree is left alone until the fruit falls into the water. From this it is necessary to have the utilization of pedada fruit. This study aims to determine the factors that can cause bacada fruit in the Mangunharjo area to not grow back after land leveling using heavy equipment. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out by means of literature studies and interviews. The results of the research show that in the Mangunharjo area there have been no pedada fruits since the 1980s. This was due to land clearing for building buildings. The head of the mangrove processing group has also never produced mangrove fruit syrup because if you want to make mangrove fruit syrup you have to take broiler fruit from the Demak area. The head of the mangrove group had only had training in making mangrove syrup but did not produce it. There are several factors that cause the soil resulting from land leveling to be infertile or unable to be planted with plants, one of which is due to soil acidity. Abstract

Village financial management is a crucial aspect in the implementation of village autonomy that requires strict supervision to prevent corrupt practices. This community service activity aims to increase the understanding and awareness of village officials and the community about corruption prevention in village financial management. The service was carried out in Deme Dua and Bubalango Villages, East Sumalata District, North Gorontalo Regency on January 25, 2025. The method used was community education through socialization and interactive discussions. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the legal and practical aspects of corruption prevention in village financial management, including the application of the principles of transparency, accountability, and community participation. Abstract

The purpose of implementing Community Service (PkM) activities in Monggupo Village is to increase the potential sources of social welfare. Community service activities involves preparation for activities and outreach using the MPA (Methodology Participatory Assessment) technique. The results of the assessment found that the number of NSWS needing social welfare services (NSWS) found that the highest number of PPKS needing social welfare services in Monggupo Village was WPSE (Women Prone to Social Economy)  with a total number of 19. In addition, it was found that the most natural product in Monggupo Village was cassava which later became a practical ingredient in making modern cakes made from cassava. These practical activities can become community entrepreneurs with modern food concepts according to the times.

Abstract

The province of Gorontalo has experienced stunting reaching 32%, so seriousness is needed in dealing with stunting problems. Especially in Tenggela Village, Tilango District, Gorontalo Regency, there are 25 babies with stunting. The implementation method used in counseling activities records infants/toddlers affected by stunting. The counseling was attended by 25 parents who had babies/toddlers suffering from stunting, which were divided from hamlet 1 and hamlet 2. Long-term malnutrition, especially in the first 1000 days of life, can cause growth failure. Stunting that occurs if it is not balanced with catch-up growth can result in decreased growth, public health which is associated with an increased risk of morbidity, death and obstacles to growth both motoric and mental. Based on the results of an analysis of the general characteristics of toddlers obtained, higher stunting was found in toddlers aged three years when compared to toddlers aged four and two years. The incidence of stunting is also higher in toddlers who are exposed to cigarette smoke. Based on the habit of washing hands of parents before interacting with toddlers, higher stunting was found in parents who had a habit of washing hands with soap. Therefore, the influence of environmental factors and parental behavior on stunting sufferers can show the results of the analysis that not boiling drinking water, unsanitary housing conditions, and ownership of unsanitary latrines are not risk factors for stunting. Keywords: infants/toddlers, counseling, stunting
