Jurnal Ide Bahasa
Jurnal of Ide Bahasa (e-ISSN 2685-0559 and p-ISSN 2684-673X) is published twice a year, June and December. Each issue will be published at least 5 articles. Jurnal of Ide Bahasa focuses on language, literature, and language learning with various dimensions of languages all over the world. The journal serves as a medium of ideas exchange and research findings from various traditions of learning that have interacted in a scholarly manner. The journal follows peer review policy. The paper is sent to many reviewers (the experts in the respective field) to review the paper in the light of journal guidelines and features of a quality research paper. For papers which require changes, the same reviewers will ensure that the quality of the revised paper is acceptable. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis wacana film “Barbie The Movie” dan keterkaitannya dengan konsep egalitarianisme serta pengaruhnya terhadap feminisme dan maskulinisme toxic. Kemudin penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis wacana kritis Fairclough untuk mengkaji struktur teks, narasi, dialog dan pesan dalam film “Barbie The Movie”. Data dalam penelitian ini disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif yang menggambarkan adegan-adegan dan dialog dalam film yang mencerminkan konsep egalitarianisme, feminisme, maskulinisme dan maskulinisme toxic. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa “Barbie The Movie” mengandung elemen egalitarianisme melalui representasi kesetaraan gender di berbagai adegan, seperti penggambaran kesetaraan hak antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Selain itu film ini tidak hanya mengeksplorasi tentang perjuangan kesetaraan gender melalui karakter Barbie, tetapi juga menggambarkan dinamika kompleks antara feminisme dan maskulinisme toxic.

This research aims to analyze the form of code mixing used in Cinta Laura and Maudy Ayunda's speech in the "Bicara Cinta" podcast, as well as identifying the factors behind the use of code mixing using sociolinguistic studies. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, considering that the data analyzed is in the form of text and not numbers. The data collection technique used in this research is the observe and observe technique. The research data is in the form of dialogue excerpts in the form of words or sentences from the podcast. The data analysis technique used is qualitative discourse analysis technique. The research results show that from the 36 quotes explained, there are four forms of code mixing identified, namely: Intra-Sentential Code-Mixing, Inter-Sentential Code-Mixing, Tag-Switching, and Intra-Word Code-Mixing. Apart from that, this research also reveals several factors that influence the use of code mixing in their speech. These factors include role factors, variety factors, speaker factors, language factors, factors and the desire to explain and interpret. This research provides deeper insight into code-mixing patterns in informal communication and can be used as a reference to learn more about the use of mixed language in further contexts and different cultures.

Social media sites like Instagram, let people communicate worldwide, share ideas and opinions, and keep up with current affairs, have become an essential part of people’s everyday life in the current digital era. However, with the increasing use of Instagram, there has been a noticeable rise in impoliteness and incivility in online communication as the anonymity that social media provides has emboldened individuals to express opinions that they might not typically voice in person encounters. This study aims to analyze the impoliteness strategies used by netizen on account tasyiiathasyia’s posting on Instagram. The design of this study is qualitative method. This study used observational method and non-participatory technique. The data was obtained on Instagram from tweets written by netizens then collected and analyzed by using Culpeper Theory (1996). The results, there are five impoliteness that discussed in this study, there are 2 data that related to bald on record impoliteness, 3 data positive impoliteness, 1 data negative impoliteness, 4 data sarcasm or mock impoliteness and no data related to withhold politeness.

Responding to the low interest among Indonesian students has prompted the government to formulate strategic policies to guarantee the future success of national education. One of the strategies is emphasizing the establishment of literacy programs at schools. This research is expected to see the execution of the program and find out the obstacles in handling the program. The subjects of this research were the literacy teams of the schools that consist of the administrators, the teachers, and the principals of the vocational schools in Padang Pariaman Regency. Ten schools, both private and public, were selected as the focus of this study. The data was collected through interviews and observations through the stages of implementing the literacy movement guidelines from Kemdikbud. The result showed that the literacy movement in Padang Pariaman regency was still at the habituation level and needed further government’ attention. The obstacles were found from the lack of the headmaster and the teams’ understanding in comprehending the movement. Hence, the government needs to do accompaniment to implement the program successfully.

Penelitian ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan bahan ajar menulis teks eksplanasi dengan teknik clustering berbantuan media komik strip digital terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode quasi eksperiman. Subjek penelitian ini melibatkan 54 siswa dari tiga sekolah menengah pertama, masing masing 1 kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data yaitu soal tes uraian menulis teks eksplanasi. Dari hasil uji t setiap kelas diperoleh nilai sig 0,000 < α(0,05). Hal ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai siswa di tiga kelompok data dengan nilai KKM (70). Begitupun dengan hasil uji t gabungan juga menyatakan bahwa nilai sig 0,000 < α (0,05). Dengan demikian, penerapan bahan ajar menulis teks eksplanasi dengan teknik clustering berbantuan media komik strip digital efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi.

This research aims to determine the influence of the Brain Writing Learning Model on the Drama Script Writing Skills of Class VIII Students at Sabilina Private Middle School. The population in this study was all class VIII, totaling 192 students. The sample consisted of 60 students divided into 2 classes, namely the control class with 30 students and the experimental class with 30 students. The research uses the Brain Writing learning model for drama script writing skills. This research is a type of quantitative research with experimental methods. The research design used was true group post-test. The data analysis techniques used are analysis requirements tests, normality tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of research in writing drama scripts using conventional methods are in the fair category with an average score of 67 and the results of research using the Brain Writing learning model are in the good category with an average score of 83. Based on the results of the normality test, namely the control class 0.111661 < 0.161 and experimental class 0.15383 < 0.161. Based on hypothesis testing, it is obtained that tcount > ttable is 6.0836 > 1.70113 so that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The results of this research indicate that there is quite a significant influence from the use of the Brain Writing Learning Model on the Drama Script Writing Skills of Class VIII Students at Sabilina Private Middle School for the 2023/2024 Academic Year.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Direct instruction berbantuan media video youtube dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks ulasan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Percut Sei Tuan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen two group post-test design. Populasi pada penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 berjumlah 118 siswa yang terbagi menjadi 4 kelas. Dari 118 siswa, sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu kelas VII-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang terdiri dari 30 siswa dan kelas VII-4 sebagai kelas kontrol yang terdiri dari 30 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif dengan menggunakan uji persyaratan analisis, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan menulis teks ulasan siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional berbantuan media video youtube adalah 68 tergolong ke dalam kategori cukup dan belum memenuhi (KKM) yaitu 75. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata keterampilan menulis teks ulasan siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction berbantuan media video youtube adalah 83,86 tergolong ke dalam kategori baik. Berdasarkan uji t diperoleh nilai taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 dan n=30, diperoleh ttabel = 2,042. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa thitung > ttabel yaitu, 7,69 > 2,042, sehingga hipotesis nihil (Ho) ditolak dam hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan penggunaan model pembelajaran direct instruction berbantuan media video youtube terhadap kemampuan menulis teks ulasan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Percut Sei Tuan.

This descriptive qualitative research aimed to investigate the types of adverbial clauses in the movie "Alice in Wonderland". The study focused on the dialogue and subtitles of the film. The researchers selected utterances containing adverbial clauses as the primary data source. Data collection employed an observational method with a non-participatory technique. The analysis utilized a clause-identifying method and a differentiating comparative technique. The theoretical framework applied was Huddleston and Pullum's (2002) typology of adverbial clauses. The results revealed that adverbial clauses were frequently used in the film's dialogue to add context and complexity to the narrative. From 49 identified instances of adverbial clauses, 31 were categorized as conditional, 9 as time, 2 as comparison and 7 as causal. Conditional clauses emerged as the most common type of adverbial clause used. The characters primarily used these clauses to express hypothetical situations, temporal relationships, and cause-effect connections in a way that enhanced the fantastical and whimsical nature of the story.

This descriptive qualitative research aimed to identify instances of relative clause omission in the movie Tenet by director Christopher Nolan. A theory from Hewings (2013) was applied to determine relative clauses in the data source. Observation and documentation were used as data collection methods, with the analysis conducted descriptively using words and sentences. Out of the 44 utterances that contain relative clauses, there were 20 data represented relative clause omission found in the movie's dialogues. They were categorized by subordinator: 7 utterances omitting "who", 3 utterances omitting "whom", 9 utterances omitting "that/which", 1 utterance omitting “why”, and 2 utterances omitting “when”. Only 10 data were selected as samples to narrow down the analysis. After thoroughly conducting the research, it was concluded that the omission of clauses, including relative clauses, often occurred in the context of informal conversations such as those found in movies. Although the omission made the utterances grammatically incomplete, it did not stop listeners from understanding them, as the meanings of the utterances remained the same.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan berbahasa dalam teks e-book “Buku Praktis Teknik Jaringan Komputer” yang digunakan di SMKS Cerdas Murni Tembung. Pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dengan analisis teks untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan ejaan, struktur kalimat, serta lemahnya kohesi dan koherensi dalam materi pembelajaran. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan studi literatur dimana data diperoleh melalui membaca dan mencatat. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis wacana untuk menggambarkan berbagai jenis kesalahan yang memengaruhi keterbacaan, termasuk kesalahan dalam ejaan, struktur kalimat yang tidak baku, serta hubungan antar kalimat yang kurang kuat (kohesi) dan alur logika yang tidak konsisten (koherensi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan berbahasa berdampak signifikan terhadap keterbacaan dan pemahaman siswa. Analisis mengidentifikasi berbagai kesalahan ejaan, termasuk penggunaan istilah teknis yang tidak sesuai dengan PUEBI, serta kalimat yang terlalu panjang dan bertele-tele. Kekurangan dalam struktur kalimat dan penggunaan istilah teknis ini mengurangi efektivitas pembelajaran. Selain itu, kelemahan kohesi dan koherensi antar bagian materi menyulitkan siswa dalam mengikuti alur penjelasan, menyebabkan kebingungan dalam mengaitkan informasi. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya penyampaian materi yang jelas dan terstruktur untuk mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih efektif di SMKS Cerdas Murni Tembung.
