Jurnal of Ide Bahasa (e-ISSN 2685-0559 and p-ISSN 2684-673X) is published twice a year, June and December. Each issue will be published at least 5 articles. Jurnal of Ide Bahasa focuses on language, literature, and language learning with various dimensions of languages all over the world. The journal serves as a medium of ideas exchange and research findings from various traditions of learning that have interacted in a scholarly manner. The journal follows peer review policy. The paper is sent to many reviewers (the experts in the respective field) to review the paper in the light of journal guidelines and features of a quality research paper. For papers which require changes, the same reviewers will ensure that the quality of the revised paper is acceptable. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan berbahasa pada teks e-book "Dasar-Dasar Komputer" yang digunakan di SMKS Cerdas Murni Medan. Fokus utama dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi kesalahan dalam penggunaan ejaan, struktur kalimat, dan tata bahasa yang dapat memengaruhi pemahaman pembaca terhadap materi yang disajikan. Data yang digunakan berupa teks dari e-book tersebut, yang kemudian dianalisis secara rinci untuk menemukan kesalahan bahasa. Teori yang digunakan adalah tentang pentingnya penggunaan ejaan yang tepat dan struktur kalimat yang efektif dalam menyampaikan informasi secara jelas dan mudah dipahami. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi literatur. Analisis teks manual data menggunakan analisis wacana yang dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan mengklasifikasikan jenis kesalahan bahasa yang ditemukan serta menganalisis dampaknya terhadap keterbacaan dan pemahaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya beberapa kesalahan signifikan, termasuk kesalahan ejaan seperti penggunaan kata yang tidak sesuai dengan Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia (PUEBI), struktur kalimat yang terlalu panjang dan tidak efektif, serta inkonsistensi dalam penggunaan istilah teknis. Kesalahan-kesalahan ini berpotensi menghambat pemahaman terhadap materi yang diajarkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya penyampaian bahasa yang jelas dan terstruktur untuk mendukung para pembaca lebih memahami berbahasa Indonesia yang sesuai dengan kaidahnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kesalahan berbahasa yang ditemukan pada novel “Tumbal Kosan Bu Andin”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data adalah studi literatur dengan membaca, mencatat, dan mengumpulkan kesalahan pada kata frasa atau kalimat. Analisis data menggunakan analisis wacana untuk menggambarkan berbagai jenis kesalahan pada novel, termasuk kesalahan ejaan, kesalahan dalam kalimat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya kesalahan ejaan, kesalahan kalimat, kesalahan struktur kalimat, serta kohesi dan koherensi.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kesalahan berbahasa pada karya tulis ilmiah. Data yang digunakan karya tulis ilmiah yang telah diterbitkan yang terdiri 5 karya tulis ilmiah. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan terori tentang kesalahan berbahasa yang mencakup kesalahan ejaan, penulisan huruf kapital, penggunaan tanda baca, dan penulisan kata baku. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan berbahasa dalam karya tulis ilmiah. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi leteratur untuk mengumpulkan data yang akan dianalisis oleh peneliti. Metode analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis wacana untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan yang terdapat pada karya tulis ilmiah yang diteliti. Dari hasil kajian, ditemukan bahwa adanya kesalahan-kesalahan yang terdapat pada karya tulis ilmiah terhadap Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia (PUEBI) berupa kesalahan ejaan, penulisan huruf kapital, penggunaan tanda baca, dan penulisan kata baku yang ada pada karya tuis ilmiah yang diteliti.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the illocutionary speech acts in the learning process of teachers and students from Grade III Arafah at Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) Dambaan Ummat. The data sources are teachers and students’ conversations. The theory used is speech acts and illocutionary speech acts. Speech acts are part of the study of pragmatics. Pragmatics is a branch of linguistics that studies how context influences meaning in communication. Speech acts serve psychological and social functions beyond the discourse; they are actions conveyed through speech. Illocutionary acts include representative, directive, expressive, commissive, and declarative speech acts. Data collection method includes observation with video recording, interviews, documentation and transcription techniques. Technique of data analysis is noting and identifying the spontaneous utterances through video recording. The research results found 131 data: 24 instances of representative illocutionary acts, 66 instances of directive illocutionary acts, 20 instances of expressive illocutionary acts, 15 instances of commissive illocutionary acts, and six instances of declarative illocutionary acts.

Abstract

This qualitative research aimed at finding out the speech acts and the functions of expressive illocutionary theorized by Searle & Vanderveken and Leech in conversations among characters in “The Summer I Turned Pretty” TV Series. The observational method and note-taking technique were employed to collect data. To analyze the data, the researchers used the pragmatic identity method. This research used a descriptive narrative method to present the results. Therefore, the results are presented in words and sentences. The findings of this research were of 13 different acts, and four different functions from 15 data. The researchers found there are 3 data of thank, 2 data of apologize, 1 data of greeting, 1 data of congratulate, 1 data of praise, 1 data of protest, 1 data of complaint, 1 data of lament, 1 data of deplore, 1 data of condole, 1 data of compliment, 1 data of boast, and 1 data of welcome. The most dominant act is the act of thank with 3 data. This is because the speakers and the hearers used to express gratitude. Based on the functions, there are 11 data of convivial, 2 data of conflictive, 1 data of collaborative, and 1 data of competitive found. The most dominant function of expressive act is convivial. This is because the speaker and the hearer show respect and politeness.

Abstract

This research aimed to identify the grammatical cohesion in the “Tim Ferriss” podcast. The researchers adhered to the theory of Halliday and Hassan regarding grammatical cohesion. There are four types of grammatical cohesion introduced by Halliday and Hassan (1976). The research design was qualitative. The observational method and note-taking technique were employed to collect the research data. There were several steps in collected data, the researchers watched the entire interviewing podcast, then the researchers took notes and transcribed the spoken discourse. Next, the researchers highlighted the data base on the theory. In analyzing the data, this research used referential identity method and a coding process in the analysis of data. There several steps in analyzing data, the researchers read carefully the highlighted data. Next, the researchers coded data by marking and give number to data based on the research questions. Then researchers reduced the extensive data by selecting the main data. Finally, the researchers analyzed and identify the selected main data base on the research theory. The results of this research were clarified and displayed informally in the form of words to sentences. The results revealed the reference was the frequently utilized in the podcast due to the speaker and the hearer commonly refer to persons, things, proximity and describe comparisons between instances or elements in the discourse.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis konten di platform TikTok menggunakan pendekatan Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) Teun A. van Dijk untuk memahami bagaimana bahasa, kekuasaan, dan ideologi direpresentasikan serta dampaknya terhadap audiens. Dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis tiga konten utama yang membahas isu kesehatan dan pendidikan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi konten berdasarkan popularitas tagar yang relevan dan dianalisis melalui tiga dimensi AWK: teks, kognisi sosial, dan konteks sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahasa informal dan gaya khas anak muda dalam konten TikTok efektif menyampaikan pesan serius seperti bahaya konsumsi minuman manis, kritik terhadap sistem pendidikan, dan risiko gagal ginjal. Strategi penyampaian, termasuk penggunaan statistik mencengangkan dan cerita pribadi yang relatable, mampu menarik perhatian audiens dan meningkatkan kesadaran mereka terhadap isu-isu tersebut. Dalam dimensi kognisi sosial, narasi membentuk skema baru terkait gaya hidup sehat dan kritik terhadap sistem pendidikan, sementara dalam konteks sosial, kreator memanfaatkan kekuasaan sebagai penyampai informasi untuk memengaruhi perilaku audiens. Penelitian ini mengungkap bahwa TikTok memiliki potensi besar sebagai media penyampaian pesan sosial yang efektif dan relevan dengan perubahan tren perolehan informasi masyarakat. Penelitian ini berkontribusi bagi media untuk lebih memperhatikan adaptasi strategi penyampaian informasi sesuai preferensi masyarakat di era digital, khususnya melalui platform berbasis video pendek. Abstract

This research aims to resolve the conflict between tradition and modernity as well as gender injustice expressed in the novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini. Using a discourse approach, this research describes how the characters struggle to maintain their identity and cultural values ​​in the midst of modernization, as well as resistance to traditional norms that limit women's freedom in Balinese society. In the context of this novel, the conflict between tradition and modernity is reflected through character characterization, plot development, and use of language. This research also detects resistance and gender emancipation efforts made by the characters in the novel. It is hoped that the research results can provide a theoretical contribution in expanding understanding of the dynamics between the conflict between tradition and modernity in Bali as well as contribute to the study of Indonesian literature by providing an in-depth analysis of a contemporary literary work.

Abstract

This research aims to save one example of cultural heritage, namely the folklore of the Green Princess of Deli Malays through digitalization in the form of digital comics. The methods used in this study include literature studies, data collection, analysis of story structure and cultural values, and the creation of digital comics by paying attention to literary elements and cultural authenticity. The expected results of this study are to contribute to the preservation and redistribution of the folklore of the Green Princess of Deli Malays. By producing interesting and quality digital comics, it is hoped that it can attract the interest of the younger generation to learn and appreciate local cultural heritage. Furthermore, this study will also show the potential of digital technology in preserving culture and encouraging digital literary creativity. This research is important in strengthening local cultural identity, increasing cultural literacy of the younger generation, and maintaining the sustainability of cultural heritage for the future.

Abstract

This study raises the urgency of preserving regional literature, especially thelegend of the "Gajah Puteh" from Central Aceh which is starting to be forgottenand has received less attention. With the decline in interest in this literarywork, it is important for researchers to maintain the sustainability andexistence of this cultural heritage. The main objective of the study is to utilizethe digitalization of literature to revive the legend of the "White Elephant" andincrease public appreciation of regional literature. Through a digitalizationapproach, this study aims to create output in the form of digital comics as aninteresting and accessible media for the younger generation, as well as thegeneral public. Digital comics were chosen as a tool to convey the legend in amore interesting and relevant way in a modern context. Thus, it is hoped thatdigital comics can be an effective means of reintroducing the legend of the"Gajah Puteh" to the public, especially in Tanah Gayo, and to arouse interest inlocal literature.Keywords: The Legend of the "Gajah Puteh", moral, digitalization.
