Abstract

The separation of parents often results in neglect of child care. This can be seen in societies where divorce often occurs. In conditions like this, problems arise as to which parent has more right to care for the child. The settlement can be carried out through a legal process with a court decision with the aim of ensuring legal certainty in the future. This research aims to find out the basic considerations of judges at the Surakarta Religious Court in determining custody of minor children to their fathers and how the legal review of legal considerations in this case is carried out. This type of research is library research which takes secondary data sources in the form of decisions of the Surakarta Religious Court. This research uses data analysts who discuss and explain the judge's considerations in determining custody of minor children in terms of Maṣlaḥah law. The results of the research show that the judge's consideration in determining custody of a minor child to his father is based on law number 23 of 2002 article 13 concerning child protection after divorce, and law number 1 of 1974 concerning marriage as well as a compilation of Islamic law articles 105 and 156 which regulates the rights of children who are not yet mumayiz, And secondly, the judge's consideration in determining custody of a minor child to the father is based on the maṣlaḥah theory, namely adhering to the five pillars of maqāṣid asy-syari’ah including the maintenance of the child's mind, religion, soul, property, all of which aims to realize justice and benefit for the child. in accordance with the objectives of the problem.

Abstract

Hadis yang awalnya berbentuk ucapan, sifat, tingkah-laku dan ketetapan Rasulullah saw, berubah saat ini menjadi kumpulan tulisan atau teks. Kondisi ini memberikan ruang para pengkaji dan peneliti hadis untuk kembali mengkaji sesuai dengan kemampuannya dalam memahami hadis. Karena dengan mengkaji hadis, kita dapat meniru dan mempraktekan ucapan, perbuatan dan ketetapan Muhammad saw. Meniru dan mempraktikkan ajaran Muhammad adalah bagian dari bentuk dakwah. Oleh karena itu penting kiranya meneliti hadis-hadis Muhammad saw, untuk mengetahui metode dakwah Nabi. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian pustaka (library research) yang bersifat kualitatif. Adapun teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data yang telah terkumpul adalah teori tematik (hadis maudhu’i). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi dakwah masa kini yaitu melalui media social yang bersifat audio visual ternyata sudah dilakukan pada masa Rasulullah swt. yang bisa diketahui melalui hadits-hadits Rasulullah swt.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pentingnya karakter pendidik dalam pendidikan menurut perspektif Al-Qur'an dan pemikiran KH. Hasyim Asy'ari. Karakter guru wajib menjadi perhatian dikarenakan pendidik akan memiliki tugas untuk memperbaiki karakter dan moral peserta didik dan pendidik akan menjadi contoh bagi peserta didiknya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kepustakaan (library research) yaitu jenis penelitian yang mengacu pada Khazana kepustakaan seperti literatur utama Al-Qur'an dan buku Asy'ari, serta literatur sekunder, untuk menegaskan peran kritis pendidik dalam membentuk karakter dan moral peserta didik. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan ada beberapa karakteristik yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang guru meliputi zuhud, istiqamah, menunjukkan kebaikan, menghindari pekerjaan rendah, bersikap adil, serta menghargai dan menghormati perbedaan. KH. Hasyim Asy'ari, sebagai tokoh penting dalam pendidikan Islam, menekankan adab dalam proses belajar mengajar melalui karyanya "Adab Al-Alim Wa Al-Muta'alim”.

Abstract

In the increasingly competitive era of globalization, the role of teachers in education is becoming increasingly crucial, especially in shaping character and improving the quality of education. Educational supervision, conducted by school principals or competent parties, aims to improve the teaching and learning process, create a conducive learning environment, and avoid setbacks in the quality of education. This article discusses the importance of supervision in education, the types of supervision, and the criteria and orientation of effective supervision. Using the literature study method, this article provides an in-depth understanding of the role of supervision in improving the quality of education through various approaches tailored to the needs of teachers and educational institutions. The results of the literature analysis show that supervision does not only function as supervision, but also as guidance that encourages the development of individuals and educational institutions as a whole.

Abstract

Sex in the Qur'an is mentioned with several variations of terms, namely mass, afda, ata, asyiru, basyiru and rafats. The six terms are kinayah which have high aesthetic value. This study will describe the wisdom of using these terms by focusing on looking at the aspects of the kinayah contained. To obtain this, the author uses the thematic interpretation method with a linguistic approach, especially balagah. The results of the study show that sex in the Qur'an is considered something sacred and has the function of continuing the lineage. Terms such as mass, afda, ata, asyiru, basyiru and rafats in the verses about sex as kinayah have their own emphases. The emphasis can be detected in the basic meaning of each term. The wisdom of using these terms includes proof of the greatness of the language of the Qur'an, affirmation of manners in conveying meaning and affirmation of sex as a form of outpouring of love and affection. This research has implications for the scientific field, especially in the fields of interpretation and literature.

Abstract

Keluarga memiliki fungsi utama dalam membentuk kepribadian dan kesejahteraan anak, mencakup aspek edukatif, sosial, protektif, dan afektif. Namun, kondisi broken home—ketika struktur dan fungsi keluarga mengalami keretakan, baik akibat perceraian, konflik berkepanjangan, atau ketidakhadiran salah satu orang tua—dapat merusak sistem dukungan tersebut. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya broken home dan dampaknya terhadap perkembangan psikologis serta sosial anak. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kualitatif berbasis kajian literatur dari berbagai sumber akademik, termasuk jurnal dan buku ilmiah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penyebab utama broken home meliputi tersumbatnya komunikasi dalam keluarga, sikap egois, tekanan ekonomi, rendahnya tingkat pendidikan orang tua, kesibukan yang mengganggu interaksi, dan intervensi pihak ketiga. Dampak dari kondisi ini terlihat dalam bentuk perilaku agresif, penurunan prestasi akademik, kenakalan remaja, serta gangguan psikologis yang lebih dalam seperti depresi dan gangguan identitas. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya peran keluarga dalam menjaga stabilitas emosional dan moral anak. Rekomendasi ditujukan bagi para orang tua, pendidik, dan pembuat kebijakan untuk mencegah dan menangani kondisi broken home secara sistemik melalui pendidikan keluarga, konseling, dan intervensi sosial berbasis komunitas.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation model of religious moderation at MAN 1 Yogyakarta in responding to the challenges of the post-truth era, marked by widespread disinformation and shifts in religious values. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research focuses on strategic design, institutional support, and the impact of the program on students’ character development. The values of moderation are integrated into the curriculum, extracurricular activities, and school culture to shape students who are critical, tolerant, and inclusive. The findings indicate that MAN 1 Yogyakarta has successfully internalized moderation through innovative programs such as SANDI MAS, the Islamic History Tour, and interfaith dialogue. These programs have had a positive impact on improving students’ cognitive understanding, affective attitudes, and social behavior. The model reflects a transformative learning approach that strengthens critical religious literacy and pluralistic values in addressing contemporary ideological challenges. This study recommends that other Islamic educational institutions adopt an integrative approach that combines pedagogical, cultural, and personal dimensions to foster a moderate, tolerant, and diversity-oriented generation.

Abstract

Classical Islamic education played a central role in shaping the scientific architecture and social structure of Muslim societies from the 7th to the 13th century CE. Examining this period is essential for tracing the epistemological roots and institutional dynamics that continue to influence contemporary Islamic educational systems. This study employs a conceptual-analytical approach and a historical-critical method to investigate both formal institutions (madrasah) and informal ones (ḥalaqah, maktab, bookshops), including the characteristics of their curricula, modes of knowledge transmission, and the authority of teachers. The main findings reveal a dualism between the academic freedom of informal systems and the scholarly authoritarianism of standardized madrasah affiliated with state power. While informal education offered autonomy and flexibility in the pursuit of knowledge, both systems ultimately contributed to epistemological conservatism due to the dominance of textual authority and limited space for innovation. The implications suggest that the epistemic and political structures of classical Islamic education fostered a scholarly culture that was passive and resistant to interdisciplinarity. This study is limited in its geographical scope and does not fully address the dynamics of contemporary praxis. Therefore, a reconstruction of the Islamic educational system is needed—one that balances the authority of revelation and reason, and fosters a scientific ethos, intellectual freedom, and more transformative scholarly dialogue.

Abstract

This study examines and contextualizes the servant leadership model exemplified by Umar ibn al-Khattab and its application in the management of modern Islamic schools (madrasahs). The research aims to identify key leadership values justice, simplicity, participation, accountability, and exemplary behavior and formulate a practical model for their integration into Islamic Education Management (Manajemen Pendidikan Islam/MPI). Using a descriptive qualitative approach grounded in a naturalistic paradigm, the study combines literature review and case studies conducted in two South Sumatran madrasahs to explore how these values manifest in real-world managerial practices. Data were gathered through library research, participant observation, in depth interviews, and document analysis, with thematic coding and triangulation ensuring the validity of findings. The results reveal that Umar’s leadership principles are operationalized in madrasahs through equitable evaluation policies, modest resource allocation, participatory planning, transparent accountability, and moral role modeling by school leaders. These practices enhance institutional integrity, improve governance efficiency, and strengthen moral-spiritual culture within educational environments. The study contributes theoretically by linking classical Islamic leadership philosophy with contemporary managerial frameworks and practically by offering a values-based model applicable to policy development and leadership training. While the limited sample restricts generalizability, this research lays the groundwork for future studies employing mixed or action research to assess the measurable impact of Umar-inspired leadership on institutional performance. Ultimately, the findings affirm that revitalizing Islamic servant leadership offers a strategic pathway toward ethical, participatory, and sustainable educational governance in the era of Education 5.0.

Abstract

This study analyzes the “good practice” learning model at SD Muhammadiyah Sarilamak through Pierre Bourdieu’s habitus theory to explain how Islamic educational practices cultivate students’ moral and behavioral dispositions. Employing a qualitative descriptive–analytical design, the research integrates observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis to explore how pedagogical programs such as the “One Thousand Daily Infaq,” “Friday Garbage Alms,” “Library Visit,” “Cheerful Friday,” and “Market Day” operationalize the interrelations among habitus, capital, and arena. The findings reveal that teachers act as agents who mobilize cultural, social, and symbolic capital to internalize Islamic virtues through repetitive, embodied practices that shape students’ enduring moral habitus. Theoretically, this study extends Bourdieu’s framework to Islamic education by demonstrating that moral development is a sociocultural process of embodied learning rather than a cognitive transfer of values. Practically, the “good practice” model provides a replicable paradigm for integrating character education into daily school culture, emphasizing community-based, value-oriented learning that supports ethical and social transformation. The study’s limitation lies in its single-site qualitative scope, indicating the need for comparative research across diverse educational settings to assess variations in habitus formation. Overall, this analysis confirms that SD Muhammadiyah Sarilamak’s learning model exemplifies how Islamic education can systematically construct moral subjectivity through the dialectical interaction of habitus, capital, and field, offering both theoretical enrichment and practical insights for moral pedagogy in the 21st century.
