Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) model implemented by Quran Cordoba–BAZNAS in enhancing tajwīd literacy, tafsīr comprehension, and the motivational and emotional engagement of the public—particularly young people—with the Qur’ān. A mixed-methods design was employed: quantitatively, pre- and post-tests of tajwīd literacy (N = 200) and a five-point Likert questionnaire measuring motivational and affective outcomes; qualitatively, in-depth interviews with CSR program stakeholders, Islamic education faculty, and workshop participants. Quantitative data were analyzed using paired t-tests, while qualitative data underwent thematic analysis. Results indicate a statistically significant improvement in tajwīd scores (Δ +20.7; p < 0.01) and tafsīr comprehension, with 87% of participants reporting increased motivation for regular Qur’ān study and 92% reporting stronger emotional attachment to the Qur’ān following workshops in calligraphy, structured tadabbur, and “Quran Hour.” The partnership with higher-education institutions under the Tri Dharma framework enhanced program design, ensured academic rigor, and secured sustainable evaluation processes. In conclusion, the Cordoba–BAZNAS CSR model transcends mere mushaf distribution to function as a comprehensive Qur’ān-learning ecosystem, delivering measurable cognitive and affective outcomes. This “Educational CSR” paradigm is recommended as a best practice for publishers and religious organizations seeking to empower Qur’ān literacy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Moral decline has become a growing concern in education during the digital era, particularly among adolescents in vocational high schools. This study aims to explore the contributions of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in addressing students’ moral decline at SMK Negeri 1 Stabat. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews with 5 PAI teachers and 8 students, and documentation. The data were analyzed using techniques of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that PAI teachers contribute significantly by habituating students to pray before and after lessons, embedding Islamic values in digital behavior, teaching critical digital literacy, encouraging ethical and productive use of technology, promoting tolerance, and fostering responsibility. A key finding highlights that consistent religious habituation combined with digital literacy education helps build students’ ethical resilience. Obstacles faced include limited student understanding of social media ethics and low parental engagement. Overall, PAI teachers serve as moral guides who integrate religious principles with digital awareness to counteract moral degradation in the digital age.

Abstract

Students who are victims of abusive relationships tend to experience a decline in self-confidence due to prolonged emotional and psychological pressure. Low self-confidence can hinder their ability to make decisions, interact socially, and regulate emotions. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling using the thought stopping technique in improving the self-confidence of students affected by abusive relationships. The research used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The subjects were five students with low self-confidence levels. Data were collected using a self-confidence scale and analyzed with the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a significant increase in the experimental group after receiving group counseling with the thought stopping technique (significance value 0.043 < 0.05). Meanwhile, no change was found in the control group. Therefore, the thought stopping technique in group counseling is proven effective in increasing the self-confidence of students who are victims of abusive relationships.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of principal supervisory roles in improving educational quality. specifically analyzing the planning, implementation, and follow-up functions of supervision and their impact on educational quality enhancement. The research was conducted at SDN Kebondalem 01, Semarang Regency, which was selected due to its consistent educational quality improvement, evidenced by three consecutive years of BOSP Performance awards and significant score increases in national education reports. A qualitative descriptive case study approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews with three key informants (principal, teacher, and educational staff), non-participant observations, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's model with triangulation techniques to ensure validity. The findings reveal that effective principal supervision operates through three interconnected functions creating sustainable educational quality improvement. The planning function demonstrates systematic data-driven approaches based on education report analysis and differentiated technique selection. The implementation function integrates traditional supervision methods with digital platforms (Performance Management and E-Kinerja), employing complete supervision cycles and collaborative approaches. The follow-up function emphasizes structured reflection and strategic planning ensuring supervision continuity. Measurable impacts show significant improvements: literacy scores increased from 90 to 100, numeracy from 66.67 to 90, character development from 60.54 to 72.67, and school achievements rose from 15 to 40 across various levels over three years Theoretically, this study contributes to educational leadership literature by demonstrating how digital integration enhances traditional supervision practices in elementary school contexts. Practically, the findings provide a replicable supervision model for principals and policymakers to improve educational quality through systematic, collaborative, and technology-enhanced supervision approaches.
