Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of fathering on dating intimacy in young adult women. This research examines the relationship between fathering and intimacy. Therefore, the goal of this study is to provide an empirical overview of the extent of fathering's influence on intimacy in young adulthood in Medan City. In this section, the researcher will outline the conclusions in the form of a research summary, as well as methodological and practical suggestions for further research. Based on the analysis of the data obtained in this study, several things can be concluded as follows: This study shows the value of the coefficient of determination or R square on the quarter life crisis variable on subjective well-being of 0.042, which means that the influence of the independent variable (Fathering) on the dependent variable (Intimacy) is 4.2%. Based on the descriptive data of the study, it can be seen that the fathering scale has an empirical mean of 81.64, where this result is obtained through the calculation of the score given by respondents from the measuring instrument and the hypothetical mean of 70. Therefore, because the empirical mean result of fathering is above the hypothetical mean, overall the fathering of early adult women in Medan City is quite high. Based on the descriptive data of the study, it can be seen that the intimacy scale has an empirical mean of 107.04, where this result is obtained through the calculation of the score given by respondents from the measuring instrument and the hypothetical mean of 82.5. Therefore, because the empirical mean result of intimacy is above the hypothetical mean, overall the intimacy of early adult women in Medan City is quite high.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Pengaruh Parental Pressure Terhadap Self-Regulated Learning Pada Mahasiswa Yang Sedang Mengerjakan Skripsi Di Kota Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa akhir yang berada di kota Medan. Menurut data BPS tahun 2022, jumlah mahasiswa di Kota Medan sebanyak 268.044 orang dari Perguruan Tinggi Swasta dan dari Perguruan tinggi Negeri Kota Medan. teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengenai pengaruh parental pressure terhadap self-regulated learning pada mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi di Kota Medan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan parental pressure terhadap self-regulated learning dengan nilai R Square sebesar 0,662, yang berarti 66,2% variasi self-regulated learning dapat dijelaskan oleh parental pressure, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Hasil uji t menunjukkan nilai t hitung sebesar 26,931 dengan signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05), sehingga pengaruh parental pressure terhadap kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengatur proses belajar mandiri selama mengerjakan skripsi adalah signifikan.Self-regulated learning pada mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi berada pada kategorisasi yang tinggi, yaitu sebanyak 345 orang (92,7%). Sedangkan responden dengan tingkat self-regulated learning sedang berjumlah 27 orang (7,3%), serta tidak terdapat responden yang masuk dalam kategori rendah. Begitu juga dengan parental pressure yang terbanyak berada pada kategori sedang sebanyak 316 orang (84,9%), kategori tinggi sebanyak 47 orang (12,6%), dan kategori rendah sebanyak 9 orang (24%).

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the marketing channels of smallholder fresh fruit bunches (FFB) of oil palm in Negeri Lama, Labuhanbatu Regency. The study focuses on the distribution structure, marketing functions performed by each actor, and the efficiency and profitability for farmers within two main marketing channels. To approach this problem, marketing efficiency theory, marketing margin, and market structure concepts are employed. Data were collected through questionnaires and in-depth interviews with farmers, agents, and RAMs, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results show that the majority of farmers (80%) market through indirect channels involving intermediaries, while only a small portion (20%) sell directly to the mills. Marketing functions such as transportation, packing, and sorting are mostly handled by agents and RAMs rather than farmers. This study concludes that direct marketing channels provide higher profit margins but require stronger logistics and better fruit quality. Therefore, strengthening farmer capacity and improving logistics infrastructure are key to enhancing marketing efficiency in the study area.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of peer social support on fear of failure in academic assignments among students in Medan City. Based on the results of research on the influence of peer social support on fear of failure in students in Medan, it can be concluded as follows: Regression analysis shows that peer social support influences 54.5% (R² = 0.545) of fear of failure in students' academic assignments in Medan. The remaining 45.5% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. This result indicates a positive relationship: the higher the social support received, the higher the level of fear of failure experienced by students. The results of the statistical test show a t value of 20.430, while the t value in the table with 348 degrees of freedom is 1.649. because the calculated t value (20.430) is greater than the t value in the table (1.649), the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. This means that there is a significant influence between peer social support on fear of failure in students' academic assignments. A total of 317 respondents (90.6%) of students in Medan have a high level of peer social support. In parallel, 316 respondents (90.3%) were in the high category for fear of failure, indicating that the majority of students experienced both conditions simultaneously.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning on students' conceptual understanding and mathematical problem solving abilities on quadratic function material at SMK Negeri 5 Medan 2024/2025. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive. The research population was all class X, and the research sample consisted of 65 class X students. The sampling technique was carried out using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were tests, questionnaires and observation sheets. Hypothesis testing in this study used t-test and descriptive test. The results of the study showed that: (1) problem-based learning has an effect on conceptual understanding abilities, (2) the magnitude of the influence of problem-based learning on students' conceptual understanding abilities is 89.2%, (3) problem-based learning has an effect on mathematical problem solving abilities, (4) the magnitude of the influence of problem-based learning on problem solving abilities is 69.0%, (5) problem-based learning on students' conceptual understanding abilities is effective, (6) problem-based learning on problem solving abilities are effective.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Work-Life Balance on Workplace Well-Being among employees of PT Perdana Inti Sawit Perkasa. Work-Life Balance refers to the balance between work and personal life that can affect employee well-being in the workplace. Workplace Well-Being reflects the level of satisfaction, mental health, and organizational support perceived by employees in the work environment. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach, involving 31 respondents consisting of permanent and contract employees at PT Perdana Inti Sawit Perkasa. Data were collected through online questionnaires and analyzed using a simple linear regression test. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant influence between Work-Life Balance on Workplace Well-Being. Employees who have a good balance between work and personal life tend to have a higher level of well-being in the workplace. This study explains the importance of companies in implementing work flexibility policies, organizational support, and a conducive work environment to improve employee well-being. That way, companies can increase employee productivity and loyalty in the long term. The results of this study indicate that organizations, especially in a Limited Liability Company (PT), show a significant relationship between work-life balance and well-being in the workplace. PT Perdana Inti Sawit Perkasa should prioritize initiatives in promoting a healthy balance between work and personal life responsibilities to increase employee satisfaction and productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Dark Triad Personality Description of College Students in Medan City. Based on the results of descriptive analysis of Dark Triad Personality in 350 student respondents in Medan City, several conclusions can be drawn as follows: Overall, the total score of Dark Triad Personality in the study sample was at an average of 56.1 (SD = 8.4), with the majority of respondents included in the medium category. When viewed per dimension, Machiavellianism showed the largest proportion of high categories (77 people; 22.0%), while Narcissism and Psychopathy each had 62 people (17.7%) in the high category. For the three dimensions, the majority of respondents were also in the medium category (Machiavellianism 60.9%; Narcissism 72.6%; Psychopathy 65.4%). The majority picture at the moderate level strengthens the view that the Dark Triad in the non-clinical population is subclinical, that is, present in the form of tendencies that are not always pathological. However, the presence of a high proportion of respondents (especially on Machiavellianism) suggests the existence of a small group that deserves further attention in further studies. The limitations of the study (descriptive design, purposive sampling, and self-report data) should be considered so that the results are best understood as an initial snapshot/sample population, rather than a full generalization to all students in Medan City

Abstract

Moral and ethical education has become a central concern in the 21st century, particularly in the face of rapid social and cultural changes. Schools are expected not only to provide cognitive knowledge but also to shape students’ moral character and ethical responsibility. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the inquiry learning method in developing moral and ethical values among Grade VII students at SMP Paramita Maitreya Duri, Indonesia. The research adopts a qualitative case study design with purposive sampling involving students, teachers, school leaders, and parents. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and documentation. The findings reveal that inquiry learning fosters active participation, critical thinking, and reflective engagement in moral education. Students demonstrated improvements in honesty, responsibility, cooperation, discipline, and self-control. Ethical awareness was also enhanced, with students showing increased ability to analyze real-life dilemmas, respect others’ perspectives, and make moral decisions. These findings are consistent with both contemporary educational theories (Bruner, Lickona) and Buddhist teachings (Dhammapada, Kalama Sutta, Sigalovada Sutta). Although challenges remain, such as limited time and teachers’ readiness, inquiry learning has proven to be an effective and culturally relevant approach to moral and ethical education.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the use of an effective problem-based collaborative learning model to overcome students' difficulties in solving story problems in class X of SMK Negeri 5 Medan. The research used is quantitative, this type of research is quasi-experimental research. The population in this study were all students of class X of SMK Negeri 5 Medan consisting of 11 classes. By using the cluster random sampling technique, the sample in this study was obtained as an experimental class (X TKR 2) and as a control class (X TKR 1). The instruments used were tests and observations. After conducting the research, the results of students' difficulties in solving story problems from the quality of learning showed that there was a difference in effectiveness between the collaborative problem-based learning model and the regular learning model. Based on the results of the calculation of the average pretest score in the control and experimental classes, 44.23 and 43.03 and the average posttest score in the control and experimental classes were 57.49 and 89. Then the results of the normality test and homogeneity test stated that the sample was normally distributed. Likewise, the hypothesis test on students' difficulties in solving story problems showed that the significance value <0.05, so the conclusion was that H_0 was rejected and H_a was accepted. So the conclusion is that the Problem-Based Collaborative Learning Model is effective in overcoming students' difficulties in solving story problems on the material of probability in class X of SMK Negeri 5 Medan in the academic year 2024/2025

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray dibandingkan pembelajaran biasa terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan mendeskripsikan perbedaan ketuntasan klasikal kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif Two Stay Two Stray dibandingkan pembelajaran biasa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan yang berjumlah 10 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII-8 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII-9 sebagai kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 22. Analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t-test dan rumus ketuntasan klasikal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) nilai posttest siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 80,46, lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 73,30, maka tolak h_0 dan terima h_1 sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pengaruh model Two Stay Two Stray lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran biasa (2) ketuntasan klasikal kelas eksperimen mencapai 81,25 % yang termasuk dalam kategori Baik, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya mencapai 40,62 % termasuk kategori Sangat Kurang artinya ketuntasan klasikal kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran biasa pada siswa SMPN 1 Percut Sei Tuan
