Abstract

In an effort to implement the Independent Curriculum, English teachers face a major challenge in creating creative and innovative teaching materials. The Independent Curriculum gives teachers the freedom to determine teaching methods and teaching materials that suit students' needs, but this also requires high creativity from teachers (Kemendikbud, 2021). Many teachers are still trapped in conventional teaching patterns and find it difficult to develop interesting and interactive materials (Putri, 2023). In this training, a program was implemented in the form of training to increase knowledge and insight related to physical visual teaching materials. Therefore, the approach methods used are presentations, lectures, practice, questions and answers, discussions, simulations, and pair or group work. The results of this training are that English teachers at the MGMP MAN Kab Jombang level are able to create innovative and contemporary media teaching materials to increase students' learning motivation in class. Abstract

In the Independent Curriculum (Kurikum Merdeka), educators or teachers are given latitude in selecting and compiling teaching materials according to student’s needs and characteristics. The flexibility given to teachers in teaching and learning activities aims to make teachers more creative in developing appropriate teaching methods and materials. Likewise, when learning Arabic, educators can select relevant teaching materials but still refer to the learning outcomes that have been formulated. This certainly makes it easier for teachers to develop teaching materials based on student competencies and profiles. One of the easiest learning media to apply is an Android-based application. This dedication is to develop teaching materials based on learning by adding features that suit the needs and interests of users of this application, which can help improve Arabic language learning. The results of learning using games based on learning obtained an average assessment score on a Likert scale (1-5) with a score of 4.83 in terms of ease of User Interface, and 4.82 in terms of content suitability of the material. Then as many as 82.93% of respondents stated that they strongly agreed with the ease of the User Interface, and 81.71% of respondents stated that they strongly agreed with the material suitability content.

Abstract

Abstrak The Legal Awareness Family Program (KADARKUM) in Kwaron Village, Jombang Regency, aims to enhance community legal awareness, particularly in preventing bullying and Domestic Violence (KDRT). A juridical-sociological research method was used to understand community interactions with legal norms. The program included legal counseling, the provision of Legal Aid Post (POSBAKUM) services, and the formation of Anti-Bullying and Domestic Violence Ambassadors. The results showed increased community understanding of legal rights and obligations, high enthusiasm during counseling sessions, and strong community support for the implemented program. Through this approach, KADARKUM successfully fostered legal awareness at the family level, which is expected to contribute to reducing violence cases in society.

Abstract

Empowering teenagers as successor cadres of Al-Qur'an teachers at the Darul Mukhlisin Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ) is one of the strategic efforts to increase religious literacy among the younger generation. This program not only aims to teach the ability to read and write the Koran properly and correctly, but also to build character, leadership and social responsibility. This research examines the urgency of a cadre of Al-Qur'an teachers from youth elements and the impact of empowering teenagers as Al-Qur'an teachers, the challenges faced in its implementation, as well as the potential long-term benefits for individual teenagers, institutions and society. The method used in this research is Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method with discovery, dream, design, define, destiny.. The results of the research show that this empowerment program has a positive impact on teenagers in the form of awareness of potential and increasing the quality of literacy and leadership skills which have an impact on the social environment, by increasing religious motivation and understanding of Islamic values, which ultimately results in being able to practice knowledge by becoming a teacher of al- Qur'an at TPQ Darul Mukhlisin

Abstract

The number of Gen Z entrepreneurs in the 2024 KDLK Entrepreneurship Program at Unhasy who hold halal certification is less than half of the total participants. Additionally, their knowledge and understanding of halal assurance are limited. To address this issue, the Community Service Team from the Islamic Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics at Unhasy, conducted a halal literacy education program for Gen Z entrepreneurs participating in the KDLK Entrepreneurship Program. Prior to this, the participants had never received similar halal literacy training. The program aims to enhance the quality of Gen Z entrepreneurs' products in the future through halal certification, enabling them to sustain and compete in the modern world. The activity also supports students without halal certification to independently register their businesses using the self-declare halal certification mechanism, facilitated by the community service team. The results show that all students in the KDLK Entrepreneurship Program successfully registered halal certification for their businesses.

Abstract

This article discusses the improvement of digital literacy among elementary school teachers in Indonesia and Malaysia through a Scratch programming workshop. The training program aimed to enhance teachers' abilities to create interactive learning media while addressing challenges in integrating technology into the classroom. Qualitative data were collected through in-depth interviews with three participants, highlighting their experiences, challenges, and the impacts of the training. The findings reveal that the training significantly improved teachers' digital literacy and confidence in using Scratch. However, some challenges, such as understanding coding logic, were noted. This training also positively impacted student engagement through interactive and creative learning tools. The study emphasizes the need for ongoing support, broader training coverage, and collaboration to sustain the benefits of such programs in transforming education

Abstract

Sexual education is an important aspect in efforts to prevent sexual violence inhigher education. However, the understanding of sexual education is often limited and notintegrated with Islamic values. This research aims to assist PPKS Task Force students inunderstanding sexual education through an approach based on the book Tarbiyatul Aulad byAbdullah Nasih Ulwan. This approach emphasizes Islamic values that are moderate, balanced,and relevant to the current context. This mentoring activity uses a participatory approachwhich includes the preparation stage, introduction stage, deepening stage, implementationstage and reflection evaluation stage. The results of the activity show that the Task Forcestudents' understanding of sexual violence and sexual education has increased. increasedunderstanding of the concept of Islamic-based sexual education and understanding of the issueof sexual violence. The integration of Islamic values in sexual education through the Book ofTarbiyatul Uulad has a positive impact on strengthening the capacity of PPKS Task Forcestudents in Higher Education.

Abstract

Marketing is very important for entrepreneurs to attract consumers so as to increase sales results. Knowledge about branding and marketing is not easy, it is not enough just once or twice, but it needs to be done continuously. Apart from that, marketing is not just about offering to potential consumers, but requires management to maximize marketing results. Therefore, training and assistance to the public regarding marketing management, especially for novice entrepreneurs, is very important. This community service regarding "marketing" is carried out to provide knowledge and assistance regarding "marketing management" to micro economics at Unhasy Jombang Indonesia and UiTM Malaysia and the surrounding communities. The PKM participants consist of micro businesses in Unhasy and its surroundings and UiTM and its surroundings. Using Seminar and Mentoring methods. The result of this PKM is that partners receive continues assistance in carrying out marketing management to improve marketing quality and increase sales results.

Abstract

Abstract: Ngulan Wetan Village in Pogalan Sub-district, Trenggalek, has significant potential from organic waste such as rice husks, sawdust, dry leaves, and corn husks. Unfortunately, this waste is often burned and not utilized properly, causing environmental pollution. Meanwhile, fuel prices like LPG and charcoal continue to rise. To address this issue, a team from the Industrial Engineering Department at Universitas Katolik Darma Cendika conducted training on making briquettes from organic waste. The training covered all production steps, from raw material collection to briquette molding and drying. The technology used is simple and based on local resources. As a result, participants were able to produce an average of 12 kg of briquettes per month, exceeding the initial target, with part of the production sold, increasing household income by 10–15%. The program also encouraged behavioral changes in waste management and raised awareness about renewable energy and environmental sustainability. Keywords​: ​​Soap,Waste Cooking Oil, Environment

Abstract

Indonesian people are still relatively low regarding financial literacy issues. Based on OJK data (2019), the financial literacy index in Indonesia in 2016 was 29.7 percent and then increased in 2019 to 38.03 percent. Lack of financial literacy can lead to financial decision- making errors and adversely affect personal financial management. This activity was held on Saturday, June 15, 2025 at the Jajar Tunggal Village Hall, Wiyung District, Surabaya City, with a total of 32 PKK women and housewives participating. This activity has the main objective of improving household financial literacy and management skills. The material presented refers to the concept of financial literacy such as important benefits, namely knowing the financial condition clearly, preventing wasteful behavior, helping future planning, and educating families to be aware of the importance of money management from an early age. Participants were also introduced to the Money+ application, a simple financial recording application. The results of the activity showed that out of a total of 32 mothers who participated in the training, 27 people (84%) downloaded and tried to use the Money+ application on the spot. The participants not only gained a new understanding of the importance of financial literacy, but were also motivated to apply it immediately. Thus, this community service program succeeded in improving financial literacy as well as shaping wiser and more planned financial behavior among PKK mothers. Masyarakat Indonesia masih tergolong rendah mengenai masalah literasi keuangan. Berdasarkan data OJK (2019) indeks literasi keuangan di Indonesia pada tahun 2016 sebesar 29,7 persen selanjutnya meningkat pada tahun 2019 yaitu sebesar 38,03 persen. Kurangnya literasi keuangan dapat mengakibatkan kesalahan pengambilan keputusan keuangan dan berpengaruh buruk terhadap manajemen keuangan pribadi. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan pada Sabtu, 15 Juni 2025 di Balai Kelurahan Jajar Tunggal, Kecamatan Wiyung, Kota Surabaya, dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 32 orang ibu PKK dan ibu rumah tangga . Kegiatan ini memiliki tujuan utama, yakni meningkatkan literasi dan keterampilan pengelolaan keuangan rumah tangga. Materi yang disampaikan mengacu pada konsep literasi keuangan seperti manfaat penting, yaitu mengetahui kondisi keuangan secara jelas, mencegah perilaku boros, membantu perencanaan masa depan, serta mendidik keluarga untuk sadar pentingnya pengelolaan uang sejak dini. Peserta juga diperkenalkan dengan aplikasi Money+, sebuah aplikasi pencatat keuangan yang sederhana. Hasil kegiatan diketahui dari total 32 ibu-ibu yang mengikuti pelatihan, sebanyak 27 orang (84%) mengunduh dan mencoba menggunakan aplikasi Money+ di tempat. Para peserta tidak hanya memperoleh pemahaman baru mengenai pentingnya literasi keuangan, tetapi juga termotivasi untuk langsung mengaplikasikannya. Dengan demikian, program pengabdian ini berhasil meningkatkan literasi keuangan sekaligus membentuk perilaku keuangan yang lebih bijak dan terencana di kalangan ibu-ibu PKK.
