Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze human resources based on interests and talents in cassava processing innovation through the 3P Program (Production, Packaging, Marketing) in Minggir Village, highlighting its role in local economic development. Method: Using the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) approach, data were collected through interviews, participatory observation, and documentation to assess community involvement. Practical Application: The 3P Program encourages local women and cadres to engage in cassava product innovation, offering a replicable model for rural entrepreneurship and community empowerment. Conclusion: The research shows strong human resource potential in Minggir Village, evidenced by the active participation of PKK women and cadres in the 3P Program, contributing to sustainable local innovation and economic growth.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to enhance student's environmental awareness, particularly regarding river ecology, through an experiential learning approach. The primary activity in this research is a field visit by students to the Karangmumus River School, allowing them to compare theoretical knowledge learned in class with real-world conditions. Method: The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through observations, interviews, and student reflections after the field visit. Practical Application: The findings reveal that the visit significantly improved students' understanding of river conservation and the impact of human activities on river ecosystems. Furthermore, the activity motivated students to contribute to environmental preservation efforts. Thus, integrating classroom theory with field experiences effectively fostered environmental awareness among students. Conclusion: This study shows that experiential learning through field visits to the Karangmumus River School significantly increases students' awareness of river ecology and environmental conservation.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to address the challenge of stunting prevention by developing and implementing the SiPenTing application as a digital technology solution to support local communities. Method: A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) to gather insights and feedback from stakeholders, including local government officials, village midwives, and mothers participating in integrated service posts. Practical Application: The SiPenTing application facilitates stunting prevention efforts by streamlining communication, providing educational resources, and enhancing monitoring capabilities for both health professionals and community members. Conclusion: The development and implementation of the SiPenTing application in Taman Village, Bondowoso Regency, highlights the transformative potential of digital technology in addressing public health challenges, particularly in preventing stunting. This initiative serves as a model for similar interventions in other regions.

Abstract

Purpose: Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) play a vital role in community welfare but often face challenges due to limited resources and managerial capacity. This program aims to develop BUMDes based on local assets in Sumberedem Village, Malang Regency. Method: The program applies the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, focusing on asset identification and strengthening managerial skills. Practical Application: Program results show improved BUMDes managerial capabilities in business planning, financial management, and marketing. Asset identification also spurred new community-driven economic initiatives, supporting business diversification and increasing BUMDes income. Conclusion: The assistance significantly boosted the village economy, reinforcing BUMDes’ role in promoting welfare. Continued support and stronger partnerships with private and government sectors are needed to sustain progress.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service aims to enhance the technical skills of students at SMK Negeri 12 Malang in digital vlog creation. Method: The program involves training sessions using lectures and hands-on practice to improve lighting techniques. Practical Application: This initiative has a significant impact on vlog production by following essential steps, including framing techniques, lighting, and video editing. Conclusion: This program enhances students' creativity and skills in vlog creation.

Abstract

Purpose: This activity aimed to assist pharmacy owners, members of HISFARMA in Yogyakarta, who struggled with manual financial reporting. The goal was to improve their skills in preparing financial reports using Excel. Method: A training program was conducted involving 30 HISFARMA member pharmacies. Participants were taught to prepare financial reports using Excel through practical exercises and direct mentoring. Practical Application: The training provided pharmacy owners with practical skills to organize financial data efficiently, streamline reporting processes, and enhance cost classification, leading to better financial management. Conclusion: After the training, participants showed significant improvement, particularly in the classification of the expenses. Using Excel contributed to more accurate and professional financial reporting among HISFARMA pharmacy owners.

Abstract

Purpose: To provide material on clean and healthy living to increase the understanding of students at SDN 17 Tanjung Batu about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in everyday life. Method: This community service activity used two methods: the first was education, and the second was demonstration. Practical Application: This activity is useful for providing children with knowledge about maintaining cleanliness through the Hand Washing Movement, helping them avoid disease. Conclusion: The hand washing movement simulation to increase self-efficacy towards a healthy lifestyle in children significantly enhanced their confidence in practicing healthy behaviors. Through an interactive and engaging simulation, the children not only learned about the importance of hand washing in preventing the spread of disease but also felt more confident in making it a daily habit.

Abstract

Purpose: This mentoring activity in Klampar Village, Proppo District, Pamekasan, focuses on economic development through the MBKM KKN-T UTM 2024 program. The aim is to optimize local resources and enhance human resources by targeting strategic development areas. The proposed program, themed “Mentoring for Financial Management and Digital Business Marketing for UMKM Batik Actors,” addresses key issues such as the lack of financial separation between personal and business funds, limited capital, and a shortage of workers despite the high quality of local batik products. Method: The approach involves community training through socialization and counseling on financial management and digital marketing to support MSME growth. Practical Application: Digital marketing on e-commerce platforms can help MSMEs expand their market and income. Proper mentoring and access to relevant training are essential for improving digital literacy and competitiveness. Conclusion: Effective support enables MSMEs to manage finances and online marketing, promoting sustainable business development.

Abstract

Purpose: This project aims to strengthen the capacity of the Tunah Village community in managing cooperatives and local natural products such as Siwalan, Legen, or Lontar. It addresses the lack of financial and managerial skills, which limits economic development in the region. Method: Conducted by the Department of Accounting at Airlangga University with PT. Legend Trend, the project involved training sessions in financial accounting, management accounting, and taxation. Data was gathered through observations and pre/post-training assessments. Practical Application: The program provides practical skills for cooperative management and business planning, supporting job creation and economic growth. It aligns with SDG Goal 1 (No Poverty) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). Conclusion: The project has demonstrated that targeted training in financial and management skills can significantly improve the operational effectiveness of rural cooperatives and unlock the economic potential of natural resources such as Siwalan. These findings highlight the importance of integrated community-university-industry partnerships in fostering sustainable rural development and economic resilience.

Abstract

Purpose: Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the Siti Khadijah Al-Kubra Orphanage has initiated self-reliance in its operations, particularly through small businesses. This effort was driven by the decrease in donors since the Covid-19 pandemic, which affected the economy in the orphanage's surrounding community. The business ventures include refillable water and laundry services. Method: The methods used in this service include training, technology application, technology assistance, and sustainability. Practical Application: The goal of this community service is to provide training and guidance on integrated marketing communication within the orphanage environment to improve the economy. This initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Siti Khadijah Al-Kubra Orphanage. Conclusion: This community service activity resulted in approximately 90% understanding among participants regarding integrated marketing communication, small business management, and the application of technology to support business sustainability.
