Abstract

The Farmers in the village of Waluya, Kutawaluya district, Karawang District, Farmers complain about musculoskeletal injuries because of the routine of cooking every day, where farmers work with the body posture bending so that they have some problems such as waist pain to the bump bending.   Focus on the health of the posture of the farm worker, it is necessary to have a measurement of the body posture using the method of Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA). After being analyzed with the method RULA. Posture of farm workers yields a score of 7 points, which means that the farm workers need to have an action and improvement such as feeding facilities such as Kitchenware or taking the remnants of the falling or untransported crop, so that farm workers feel comfortable.

Abstract

Curriculum development is one of the challenges in the world of education. In vocational schools with Computer and Network Engineering Skills Competency (TKJ) in particular, these curriculum changes update the Basic Competencies taught. Several changes have been made, including those related to the core competency of fiber optic cable termination. The curriculum renewal means students must improve their core competencies in connecting fiber optic cables. Often, lessons related to fiber optic termination are only given theoretically. This is due to limited support for tools and materials for the fiber optics practicum. This activity will provide a workshop on connecting fiber optic cables to TKJ Skills Competency Vocational School students. As a result, the evaluation of the acceptance of activity materials obtained an average participant score of 88.74% in the very high category. Then, evaluating satisfaction with training activities, it was found that satisfaction with training methods was 94.35% (very high class); training instructors at 93.33% (very high category); and facilities and infrastructure amounting to 95.26% (very high type).

Abstract

The aim of this service activity is to help MSMEs in preparing a good and professional company profile so that MSMEs can increase their competitiveness in the current era of globalization. The problem faced by partners is a lack of knowledge and skills in creating a good and professional company profile. The method used in this activity is in the form of training which is divided into 3 stages, namely preparation, delivery of material and training and discussion. The material presented in this activity is the concept of a company profile, the function of a company profile and how to prepare a company profile. The results of the training activities carried out show that there has been an increase in the knowledge and skills of MSME managers in developing MSMEs.

Abstract

Rural communities require appropriate technology to process livestock waste that has been polluting the environment, particularly water bodies such as rivers. Biogas technology offers a solution by converting waste into renewable energy, namely biogas, which can be utilized for daily needs and high-quality organic fertilizer production. Unfortunately, the biogas reactors currently in use were developed over 50 years ago without significant innovations. Hence, there is a pressing need for a more efficient (affordable and user-friendly) and effective (in terms of performance) biogas reactor technology suitable for rural communities—specifically, the Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) biogas reactor technology. The objective of this endeavor is to create a household-scale prototype FRP biogas reactor, designed according to specific requirements and standardized for widespread use. This prototype will be implemented and tested in the field, allowing for dissemination to a broader audience. For modeling purposes, the FRP reactor design will be applied in a demonstration plot in Sunten Jaya Village, Lembang Subdistrict, West Bandung Regency. The results from the demonstration plot reveal that the produced biogas amounts to 40 L/kg of cow dung.

Abstract

The existence of Blimbingsari beach as a buffer tourism in the central Banyuwangi area, has decreased visitor interest every year. The decline is caused by 3 most pressing problems, including; 1) Unreasonable culinary selling prices; 2) Piles of beach garbage; and 3) Poor beach appearance/atmosphere. These problems have begun to threaten the people who depend on beach activities for their economy. Funding support provided by the Ministry of Education, through the PPK Ormawa 2023 program. Provide a commitment to empowerment, to prevent threats to the welfare of beach communities due to decreased visitor interest. Carried out for 4 months productively, using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. Qualitatively, the beach community has shown positive behavioral changes. These changes are marked by; Equitable culinary selling prices; Routine beach cleaning activities; and supporting the revitalization of the beach appearance. These changes contribute to restoring interest in tourist visits, as evidenced by an increase in tourist ticket sales.

Abstract

The cultivation of strong character in schools can be achieved through character education. One promising approach to cultivating a deep affection for the environment is through the Workshop on Environmental Compassion and Energy Savings Character Development. Hence, it is essential to educate individuals about the implementation of the 4R (Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle) principles and minimize energy when utilizing electronic devices in households and schools. By nurturing a foundational awareness of energy conservation and environmental consciousness at Bruder Melati Pontianak Elementary School, it is expected that the teachers will be able to impart this knowledge. Through the implementation of dissemination, school citizens gain a greater comprehension and consciousness of the 4R movement and the more prudent utilization of electricity by 94.4%. Furthermore, they acquire fresh perspectives concerning the energy-saving patterns of daily electrical energy use, thereby contributing to the betterment of society as a whole.
